• Is my office empty (on Server 2008 R2) because of the lack of activation of Windows?

  I installed the Server 2008 R2 in October (the 5th, to be more precise) and then Exchange 2010. Apparently I forgot either activate or enter a valid license key (I don't remember that far back) and now the machine starts at the standard login screen Ctrl-Alt-Delete, but once I connect (creds Admin, but not the local administrator account) the screen is empty except for three lines of text in the lower right :

  This copy of Windows is not genuine.

  Although there is no Explorer shell and no icons, I can Ctrl-Alt-Del and start the Task Manager. I tried to use "slmgr-rearm' (and almost every option slmgr) by using a command prompt, but nothing happens." I tried to run slui.exe but nothing happens.

  Any help to get this machine would be appreciated.

• Suspected that the security fix for Windows Server 2008 R2 that affect the ODBC connection.

  I use Windows Server 2008 R2 and have been able to generate the crystal report connection automatically through the (System DSN) ODBC for MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

  When I perform the security updates below, the crystal report would not be able to generate automatically.

  KB2621440

  When I tried to manually generate the crystal report, it prompted me the user DSN instead of the system DSN which I was their use without problems so far.

  Therefore, I created the user and system DSN in the ODBC DSN and so able to invite me for connection (System dsn) but not with the ODBC connection id I created.

  Everyone has experienced problems connecting to ODBC after this hotfix was updated?

  I installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard as a test version of an iso download got on the product site in Ms. In the meantime, I bought the software. Once the software has been delivered, I tried to activate with the key provided me with the software sent from Microsoft. I get... "the activation server determined that the specified product key is used" and throws the error asOxC004C003code. What gives here? They just sent me the key? I need to get this fixed as soon as POSSIBLE.

  I installed ucm 11g with an inbound refinery on a 64-bit windows server 2008. The AAU and the bovine infectious rhinotraecheitis are supposed to start automatically after the server is running.
  
  1. I put the startWeblogic.cmd and the startNodeManager.cmd in the directory Autostartup. The weblogic and the nodemanager are starting very well in a denial of service console.
  2. I tried to start the University Complutense of Madrid with the following startManagedWeblogic of the UCM_Server1 command. Then he asks me a username and password and then, he throws a java exception and the UCM_Server1 will not be started.
  
  The current situation is that the weblogic and nodemanager starts automatically and the UCM_Server1 and IBR_Server1 must be started manually.

  The best way is probably a Windows Service. Here's the Oracle documentation on how to do it.

• I get the message "this search engine is not supported by Firefox and cannot be installed" whenever I try to install a plugin to search on the Mozilla Add-ons site. Why?

  Any search plugin I chose to install it from the list of search plugins FireFox on the Mozilla Add-ons site, I get the same error message - "this search engine is not supported by FireFox and can not be installed. I tried to delete the 3 files in my profile identified in the article on troubleshooting plugins, but it did not help. I am running Firefox with administrator privileges, but it does not help. The problem seems to be with the search plugins. I can install other extensions that are not plugins from the Mozilla Add-ons site search, but not the search plugins. I tried restarting FireFox and restarting the computer severaltimes, but I get the same error message when I try to install a search plugin.

  Something is messed up on the pages of plugins MySapce AMO. Clear the URL bar and type something here (but do not hit Enter) - then you should be able to proceed with the installation of a search plugin.

• I installed everything recently last Adobe reader. I get the following error "this PDF document contains shapes. The filing of form fields is not supported. Open with different Viewer"Please advise.

  I am filling in the online form, but does not allow me.  It downloads the PDF, but I need the forms either online, so that I can complete and submit within the same window. Unfortunately do not know why he keeps giving me the error message.

  Player version: downloaded the latest

  Initially, I tried to access the pdf forms via Mozilla Firefox, but then I thought to try it on Internet Explorer. I then decided to stop go shopping and come back and try again.

  I came home and started my laptop computer, open Internet Explorer up-to-date options internet, site Web captured and viola I could access and view pdf online forms.  Managed to filled forms and all works fine now!

• Variable performance on a recursive query/view/CTE SQL - server 2008 R2

  I ask for help on the following problem.

  We use a view with a recursive select in it (see below). On a specific server (Server A) the performance of this view varies a lot. Respons times differ between 100 ms and 30 seconds or even more. We tested the same point of view on a backup of the database on another server (Server B) which results in a stable and good performance. A backup of the database that is installed on a server with no other interaction even results in variable performance. We compared the settings of operating system and the database on server A and Server B. There is no difference.

  Now, we have enabled RDP and used a user can access to hold off.

  but when we take RDP and entered the IP address on the server mentioned above. It gives the error that the RDP is not activated.

  What we did...

  1 checked any local policy or domain... no problem

  2. check that the RDP port is listened to... no problem

  3. has changed the port 3389... nothing happened.

  4. check for any firewall issue... Order the Windows Firewall... Still nothing...

  Checked port 3389 with telnet... its not going is not to...

  Help, please...
