Virgin Media hub great connection

Hi all, just to upgrade to a new super hub Virgin Media-150 200mbs - everything works fine.

However, my Airport Express (used for streaming music) refuses to connect.

EI appears in Airport utility, but when you try to connect by using the SSID name of the network and the router password - he wrote himself in the AE OK but then disappears and cannot be located by the Airport utility longer?  You must reset the AE and start over, but still does not recognize the SSID or password?

I used the AE for many years on my old router VM without any problems, but it is causing a lot of frustration!

That I am, I am doing wrong or else is AE compatiable with the new plate rotating super VM?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you all...

Plug it into the computer and do the installation via ethernet.

Wireless configuration by wireless looks like sawing off the branch to that which you are sitting.

The original express N is very old, but if she worked on the old router it should work on the new... but you need to give me more details.

For example the new router for VM... It is dual band? Could you try to configure the Express to join the wrong group.

A lot of problems when you try to match wireless of different brands.

I'm pretty new to all this, I'm looking for some guideance all about my Netgear EX2700 to connect to my new Virgin 2ac Hub (just moved house)

The EX2700 has been a joy to work with in recent years, until he was introduced to the Virgin

Now I can't do anything with it, and it keeps asking for a password WPA2 - I discovered and used but nothing helped...

Could someone guide me to easy to follow information and put in place the procedure?

    Thank you

    Hello Cenihk

Since this is a new router you want to reset the Ex2700 because he's trying to use the old settings that you want to do is keep the hole of PIN button of reset for 10 seconds, this will do a factory reset, then you should be able to go through the setup and plug it into the new router.

  • is my Virgin media Super hub 2ac causing AirPort Extreme restart?

I'll try and make this short.

I recently had a hub great media virgins 2ac upgrade to a great hub. Before that, I have not had any problems with my network or wifi. And became 150 MB of download and upload 12.

I have two extremes of the Apple Airport, one as a primary router and the other as an extension of network (super hub is modem mode) the extreme second is connected via Ethernet to a voltage adapter.
The problem is that if I use a wired device or wireless broadcasting data continuously for more than 15-25 minutes (22 minutes is the sweet spot) and then the main AirPort Extreme will restart and drop the wifi.

    I did the following:
    Restart all devices (works temporarily)
    Changed all wifi channels
    Off to IPv6
    Bought a new AirPort Extreme
    Bought new cables
Hard wired devices previously on wifi

The key is that I'm out of ideas. The only thing that has changed is the super hub, everything else is the same. Is it possible from that great hub is the original AirPort Extreme resets automatically?

Any help welcome because it leads me to the top of the wall!

One thing that comes to mind. You mentioned that you have placed the new super hub modem mode. Do you know if this also turns off Wi - Fi hub as well? If it does not then it is possible that you found the Wi - Fi interference between the super hub and AirPort Extreme connected on it.

  • F4580, printer: unable to connect F4580 to wireless network after the upgrade of Virgin Media nowhub

My printer HP F4580 was connected to my network without wire from Virgin Media Superhub. Then I upgraded to the latest Supehub2 of VM (150 MB/s) but the printer does not now connect. We have 2 Macbooks that connect ok for the SSID of 5 Ghz and a cell phone that connects ok for the SSID of 2.4 Ghz. The printer is WPS enabled and therefore the network. I tried to add the printer to the network using the two WPS push and entering the PIN for Client in the VM Supehub Wireless Manager, but neither work. When I get the F4580 to print the wireless network test report prints a WPS PIN and details for the VM in 2.4 GHz network (auth WPS - PSK, AES/TKIP encryption) sees it. The report includes the SSID for my previous network in the configuration summary. I don't seem to have another way to connect elsewhere WPS push or PIN customer WPS.

In Manager machine virtual Supehub mode wireless 2.4 GHz network is defined as up to 144 Mbs, but it makes no difference if I put it up to 54 Mbit / s. The Security Mode is set to Auto WP, it makes no difference if I put it to WPA2-PSK (AES).  WPS is activated, and push the WPS button on the Supehub flashes when I use WP Push or enter the PIN code of the customer. In both cases, the I pressed the F4580 wireless button so that the indicator wirelss light flashes then than the VM, push the button flashes. Can anyone help?

I solved the problem of (re-) install the printer on a Windows PC on the same network, using the CD for the printer. The installation allowed me to select the network, and set up the printer for wireless use.

  • Why the GET Media Hub launched in offline mode each time that I connect to my VPN company?

I just installed my Media Hub and am very happy to have it on my home network.  However, every time I connect to my VPN company at work (I work from home all day, every day), he launched the offline media pole.  It reconnects as soon as I hang up the VPN.

I had other problems with VPN network, such as my * wireless * the printer works not when I am connected to the VPN (HE says it's to prevent the unauthorized access to our internal network).  But it is with a wireless device.  The Media Hub is physically connected via an Ethernet cable, not wireless, so I do not understand why he should have a problem with my VPN.

Everyone is heading in the same situation?  Solutions/solutions/suggestions?

    Thank you!!

It's real simple's happening at neworks using VPN Corp.  It deals with security and once you understand that it makes it simple.  Without VPN, you are conencted to your home network.  Call the NetA.  All NetA devices are in the same area code (simple analigy).  Then the PC know how contact on the network of companies IE NetA. OK, connect us to a corp network called NetB.  At this point, all codes of areo change toward a new area code to NetB.  The PC is no longer connected to NetA.  It is a Tunnel. The tunnel goes from your PC via your router to the network Corp and stops there. No connectivity to anything except the PC and the net Corp.  So you lose connectivity to any device on NetA.  Now you are conencted to a different area code.  Once that disconnect from NetB, your connection is restored to NetA.  Just like your experience.  Corp this person not the NetA to NetB connect.  I hope this helps.

  • Presario CQ60-212EM not able to connect to WiFi WPA Virgin Media

I'm grateful for any advice. I'm pretty good with computers, but not an expert. My two daughters-in-law have Presario CQ60-212EM laptop and we first met a problem connecting with a new router at home. Finally, a spark to Maplins suggest change us the security from WPA to WEP, and worked well.

The problem now is that one of my daughter-in-law lives in a House with a wi - fi of Virgin Media and they are not able or willing at this stage adjust security. Is there anyway that this laptop can connect to WPA? (Interestingly, she had this problem last year in a House different with Virgin and Virgin not couldn't even connect to it, but I'm always hopeful.)

Yesterday I tried to connect him to the wi - fi in this new House. The laptop sees the router and asks for the password, but it can not connect. I don't remember the message, sorry. We were able to connect with our phones, so we know that the password is correct and the wi - fi works.

It is running Vista. The computer was bought in 2009. I don't know if she did the Windows updates. I found some information on the update of drivers for Broadcom and Athereos cards, but I don't know what has this laptop. The specs seem vague:

Thank you for advice or ideas!

  • G505s and Virgin Super Hub

Really pleased with this computer. Recently updated my internet hub to a Virgin Super Hub. I now can't get a wireless connection of wondows 8.0. When I switch to Windows 8.1 I get the message "unidentified network". I can connect via ethernet cable no problem.

The wireless adapter is broadcom 802.11n network adapter

Ipconfig confirms the hub is affecting an ip address for the G505s but will not allow connection internet. The hub admin confirms utility. Hub ping does not return anything.

3 other laptops (including 2 Lenonovos on win 8.1) and 4 smartphones connect to internet via the new hub with no problems. I did the following: -.

    Restarted hub - many times

    Re-installed win 8 and 8.1 twice

Follow-up of all win 8 and 8.1 updates

Re-installed the driver Broadcom Wireless adapter - 3 times

Tried the IP address physical address / gateway/SubnetMask etc.

With the help of the Office of support from suppliers through various ipconfig and netsh commands

Is this a problem with my network adapter?

  • The software installation will not see a Media Hub on XP but on Vista.

When I run the installation software on my desktop running XP, the software says that it cannot find the media center.  Gives error 107 but I can type the IP address and the browser will find and connect to it.  When I run the software on my laptop, running on Vista, it immediately finds the Media Hub and install the software.

I've updated the Media Hub for the latest firmware, but that did not help.  Any advice on how I can get the software to install on my desktop?

Summer reading another post in this Ant and found my answer.

    Another question...

    Hello

I tried to run the installation and add another PC using the installation CD every time and regardless of the operating system PC and other settings of disabled security software can't find the device even if the device has one IP address and I can browse on it.

I configured the device with out the CD installation and everything works fine, the only problem I have is the backup and media import software install because the software cannot find the device. Is there anyway that these applications can be installed individiually with using the CD? Linksys may provide for these applications separately?

    Thank you

    Answer...

Yes you can. On the installation for the NMH CD, locate the file installation. RES (should be about 120 MB). You can extract this file using WINRAR, and once extracted, there will be some applications that you can install on your computer manually. Two of them are the backup tool (file name is backuptool.exe) and the Import tool (file name is LinksysTools.exe)

You can try to do this method if you do not have the hub of media with you.

    Thank you Mared1784 for this...

  • DVD players that will stream movies Media Hub

I'm looking for Blu - ray player that I can also stream movies to my Media Hub. I was hoping that we could start a list of combinations prople know will work. I'm looking actually at the Sony BDP-S370 but open to anything.

    Thank you

I have a PS3 and it works great.   The speed and quality of streaming video is fantastic.  I downloaded some videos 1080 p one of the HDD Sony HD camcorders directly to the media via USB hub.  This will quickly enough, given the amount of data.  Navigation via the PS3 is fast and quality of reading is... well... as good as my framing.  I downloaded also ripped DVD to Divx and it started right away and good mine.  I intend to rip DVD in addition to our library.
