• Dell XPS 8700 - secondary SATA Hard Drives don't appear not

  I tried to install two additional hard drives on my new XPS 8700. The machine came with the primary drive connected to the SATA 0 and the DVD drive connected to the SATA 1. When I installed two additional hard drives, I put in the SATA 2 & 3 ports. Hard drives appeared in Windows (8.1), nor in the BIOS. I played a bit with ports SATA 2 & 4 and 3 & 4. Hard drives are not recognized. When I looked in disk management, they weren't there. As a last resort, I unplugged the DVD player SATA cable and plugged the cable on one of the secondary hard drives (which was then attached to the SATA 1 port) to connect the DVD player to the SATA 2 this drive cable port. When I started my computer, all drives have become visible. I don't know why. SATA cables I used comes from a 5 year old computer (like hard drives). Was it a problem with the cables, or is it a problem of SATA port? The first disc hard school should go in port SATA 1?

  for the most part, you are right. I had this same problem as well, but I already had the a06 bios. the problem is with the uefi bios feature. its ment to be safer, but causes problems when adding disks. I tried your suggestion to change the secure boot options, but it does not work for me. I found the solution by chance when I went from uefi boot inherited so that I could use my cd discpart of secure erase my ssd.

  so here's the solution, whenever you add a drive, you will pass the bios in legacy mode, then return to the uefi mode. If your computer came with windows 8 then more than likely your bios is set to uefi. When you switch the bios the legacy of your desire to computer error and you say that he has not found any what boot drives. No worries, switch to that return to uefi, reboot and now your system will start properly and all your disks will be visible in the windows and disk management. no need to replace your motherboard.   Had a rather strange problem today that I couldn't solve with serial ports not appearing is not in MAX (and thus be inaccessible to LabVIEW). In the windows Device Manager, it shows 4 COM ports, and I checked with an external program that they work properly.

  I had the f2 of LabVIEW 2011 SP1 runtime installed, DAQmx 9.6.1 and 5.3 of NI-VISA (5.2 also did not work).

  I tried the things:

  -VISA update 5.2 to 5.3

  -Reinstall the COM port devices in Device Manager

  -Change the COM port numbers

  -Check that the COM ports are working properly

  -Tried to add a port USB Serial Converter as a new COM port

  -Resettlement of MAX

  -Reinstall the driver NI-VISA

  -Reinstall everything (restart every time when prompted)

  -Reset the hardware configuration of in MAX

  -Run the installers / MAX as an administrator (this forum works for the local administrator account)

  -Checked that NI-VISA appears under the Max software

  -Fixed MAX/NI-VISA

  Is there something else that could cause the COM ports not to appear in MAX when they appear (and work correctly) in Device Manager when a reinstallation of the NI-VISA / MAX solve?

  I found the solution - it turns out that the serial ports are available for LabVIEW, just do they not appear in MAX because installed just the runtime does not display devices by MAX.

  I'm having a hard day. I have a win Server R2 2012 on a server stand-alone esxi 5.5.0.  It was a test server that was working and then one day I could remote desktop is no longer in it.  Long story short, I have rebuilt the server. However, this is more difficult than it should have.

  -first product installation the OXC000021a error code I couldn't find a solution, so I tried to reinstall again.  I install ISO copy and the storage drive.

  -copied another iso in this drive, now I can install it, but after I joined the field, he stopped booting and stops page troubleshooting options.

  -J' already had a server r2 2012 running on the esx server so I am assuming that all of the default settings in the bios and hardware work ok. only difference was the other server's disk data store and this one is on the storage disk.

  Current issue - server is obtaining an IP address, but there seems to be no network card. I'm back to the original problem that I can't connect remotely to the server. When I go on change map settings - it's empty. I added a second network card (although the power off) so I now have an E1000E and VMXNET 3 NIC but does not appear under the adapter settings.  I am the administrator, he received updates from WSUS, I can ping outside of the areas, but I can not put a static IP address if I can't find the network card.  The two network cards receive an IP of DHJCP, but appear in DNS.  Why I can't see them?

  Thanks for the replies, but I finally found the solution and I would never have guessed.

  Strange problems have persisted, and isn't that a file on a vm server says it was corrupted and asked me to run chkdsk.  That suspicion.  I contacted Dell and after about 2 months of work on this, it turns out be a hardware problem on the physical server.  They replaced the PERC, but it wasn't the problem. They ended up replacing almost everything, but the case and the hard drives, which they determined that ran as expected based on their diagnosis.

  In the end, they were right. Another thing that PERC corrupted data in the RAID.  The first sign of a problem was given in the databases became corrupt. We had a lot of possible reasons for this likely, so it's not considered a clue.

  Once that everything has been redesigned, I have had no other problems.  Regarding the blocking of a new vm server problems, either the download has been altered by the RAID or the actual installation.

  I'm glad it was finally resolved and it wasn't a problem in wmware least world just go.

There is a green check mark of "sync files" and there are several Sin file my desktop app creative cloud on my other great desktop. " I am connected, bui I now see the files in the access area.   Laptop

  2. Sign in with your Adobe ID (same ID as above)
  • You will then be able to see all your files synced from your computer laptop and desktop on Adobe Creative cloud
  • Files synchronized from your laptop will be visible on your desktop, files synchronized from your laptop will be visible on your desktop.
  • All the files that have been synchronized from your computers will be visible to Adobe Creative Cloud.

  Virtual copies don't say '2 of 2', etc. Only the superimposed images say that. Which is probably confusing you is that the VCs are normally created stacked. I would say that your catalog is probably fine.

  I could solve this problem. I started in Ubuntu and deleted the existing cdrom.sys, cdrom.inf etc. files (as in Windows, they were protected and I couldn't delete them), then I copied the files from another installation of Vista I had on another hard drive. After having done that, I updated the drivers in device, disabled/enabled readers and readers management that presented themselves.

  Virtual copies are "virtual". They do not exist in the records; so you can't look into a Windows folder to find them (and in fact, I think it's a bad idea for Lightroom users to browse the folders in Windows in any case, when you browse browsing in Lightroom).

  If you remember you could do before, that is, you're wrong to remember, there is never a convenient where the virtual copies appear in the windows.

  If for any reason, you need a photo for use outside of Lightroom (a photo, virtual or 'original' copy), you would have to export it.

  Yes it works for me now except if there is an easier way. Thought I'd share how I did it.

  (1) I export, add to the catalogue and in another file and download all the photos on my wordpress site.

  (2) customer selects the Favorites and I get an email that contains a text string (this text string includes all the masters and vc file names)

  (3), I then take this text string copy and paste into the search field on this new folder, I created on export.

  (4) all customer photos they have selected appear. Fact.

  I use a Mac with 5.7 of Lightroom which is configured to store all the metadata in the xmp files. The Lightroom Catalog is stored locally on the Mac and contains only references to images and their xmp files that are stored on a network device. There is another Mac with the same setup with a local separate Lightroom Catalog and access to the same images on the network device.

  At a starting point, the two Lightroom catalogs are identical - they refer to the same images on the network device and contain the same metadata.

  When I update the properties of the image on the first Mac, these changes are reflected in the xmp file. After using the option 'synchronize' with activated "metadata synchronization" on the second Mac, the modified image properties are visible on the second Mac. It is very good.

  However, when I create a virtual copy on the first Mac, I realize that the corresponding xmp file is updated. However, even after the synchronization, the virtual copy is not visible on the second Mac. I can change the properties of the image of the original image and get these changes replicated to the second Mac, but the virtual copies remain the first Mac.

  As far as I know, xmp does not contain information about the virtual copies. If this method to attempt to synchronize two catalogs will not work.

  Better you should use the file-> Export catalog on a single computer and then file-> import from another catalog on another computer.
