Virtual keypad
in my app the user name and password for both are numbers, but when I used the fields, when I type on the virtual keyboard of the input field appears. It is to enter in each issue, I have change in digital mode, which is annoying
is it possible to make the virtual keyboard to show just the number and the keyboard to switch to digital?
my bad didn't google properly before posting here in form
Fixed :-D
But what happens if I want to same effect on the password field too? :-o
I can't specify two types of single entry field :-/

Digital keyboard in portrait mode has no number '1 '?
My app (BerryUnitConverter) has a numeric field that is declared like this:
amountField = new EditField ("Convert:", "1", 10, EditField.FILTER_REAL_NUMERIC);
On the physical keyboard devices (curve, for example) which makes the keyboard behave as if it was digital, which is the desired behavior.
However, on the storm (my Simulator says Blackberry 9530, OS 4.7.0.75), of the same code, with the handheld in portrait mode (vertical), turns a virtual keypad WITHOUT the key to '1 '. Instead, a decimal point to the left of the figure '2 '.
If I return the unit (landscape mode), I get a full digital keyboard, no problem here.
Is it possible to have the virtual keyboard on screen vertical mode all digits and decimal point?
Backward compatibility is important, so a solution that leaves the program work on devices more ancient (I have users that are running versions as old as 4.1) would be better.
Thanks in advance.

No, roadmr is correct.

Edit - basically, it's a bug in the operating system, upper and 4.7.0.90 versions corrected. Since the last public version of Verizon's 4.7.0.75, your choices are to inform users to upgrade to a non official OS, create your own virtual keyboard, or (if your application is not due for some time) wait and hope Verizon Pushes 4.7.0.1xx awhile.

My application works well on BlackBerry non-touch screen devices. But problems happened on Storm. 1. I customized my own ScreenManager and use int screen_width = graphics.getScreenWidth(); to get screensize, however, the screen width and height that received is 320* 240, which is supposed to be 360*480. 2. the virtual keypad is always showed up and occupied the half screen size. This leads to my application was narrowed down to the half top. My application works on 9530 emulator. It occupies the whole screen without virtual keypad. How come it dosen't work as expected on real device. How to avoid this problem.
I solved the problem. Pls read the link.

Apple keyboard with numeric keypad - keypad not working
I can't use keypad on my Apple keyboard with numeric keypad by logging on Windows 8, or when you type in the field when Windows or any document.
I think that this kind of functionality should be possible with an Apple keyboard. Do you think I should submit a feature request? If so, where should I send such a request.
Thank you!
The 'Clear' on the physical keyboard key seems to do the same job... On my Mac keyboard, there is a clearly labelled keys where the Num Lock key is on a PC keyboard (above the number pad 7). This key is used to NumLock when I press on it in a virtual Windows machine.

The right Shift key View 4 PCoIP/w and keypad does not work
Hi all
I'm having a weird behavior with the right shift key and the numeric keypad. This happens when you use view 4 with PCoIP. When you use RDP to connect to a system and using the console in vSphere.
To illustrate the differences in the way he behaves, I typed the following string in an RDP session and a Console Session of vSphere.
"@ @ 123 123.
^ Button '2' three times, three times, to left SHIFT + key '2' "123" on the top of the keyboard and 123 on the numpad + is offset to the right.
You see that, while in RDP, the right shift key does not work and so that the console session the num pad behaves like the arrows or the end, pg DN (aka acting like numlock is turned off)
VMWare tools are installed on the virtual machines in question. I tried to turn numlock on and off without a change in behavior.
No I don't think that the numeric keypad problem has been reported. But I've now reported. I'll let you know if we have other questions.

Keyboard not configured by the new virtual machine
Hi Experts,
I am very new to VMWare stuffs. Recently, I've converted a physical machine (windows XP) machine virtual with VMware Converter v3.0.0 by using the Import of machine function and then configured using the configure machine button. I don't change any customization of the virtual computer. Now I have a VM (virtual machine workstation 5.x) of the PC. So I closed the physical computer and starting the virtual machine on a different computer using VMware Workstation v6.5.1. When you start the virtual machine appears "your guest operating system is Windows XP and you have one or more virtual SCSI peripheral isntalled in your virtual machine. Please be aware that XP does not support the BusLogic SCSI adapter that VMware workstation is currently using for virtual peripherals... Download the driver... ». I press OK to continue.
Now, VM, boots and to connect, I press altcltinsert but VM is not recognizing this command. Only the mouse running inside the virtual machine as I can drag the message autour window, but not any command of the keyboard. So, I am struck at the login page of the virtual computer window.
A tip for the login and the keypad?
Thank you.
Stop VM, between in his option material vitual to version 4 (used in Workstation 6.x) and re-install VMTools.

What App would you recommend to run virtual machines on an Imac?
I would try to have virtual machines running on my IMac, but I'm having a hard time finding any material on this topic from apple.
Ideally, I would like to my main x os to start and then simply turn a small virtual machines or containers from OSX.
Any recommendations? or articles about the support of Apple for such a thing?
There are three choices:
The first two are commercial products. The third is a free, open source. Three Parallels is the best.

Kernal_task with virtual memory, slow computer
I have an iMac 21.5 inch end 2013 with 8 GB RAM on OS X 10.11.6. The computer is incredibly slow and hangs up during long periods of time (minutes). In addition, I noticed when you save to my Time Capsule (ethernet connection, wifi is turned off) it will just make a break to half way through and stay there (e.g., 789 MB 450MO) for 30-45 min. activity monitor shows kernal_task taking up huge amounts of time processor (5:02:09), son (118), slow down wake ups (2752), and when I select the process name it shows the size of real but 781,2 MB of memory the size of the virtual memory of 70,51 Go.
I don't have any external monitors, hard drives (except the time capsule), etc. connected. Any ideas of what I can do?
Thank you!

Anyone experienced the same problem or knows how to solve this problem?
Thank you very much.
Hold down the key on the keyboard icon in the lower right corner, and then drag your finger to select Dock.

Dungeon of virtual keyboard to appear when you use bluetooth keyboard
I use a surface 3 pro with a keyboard bluetooth as the main method of entry. The recent Firefox update keeps popping up a virtual keyboard of the system on each input field. This is a nice feature to have while no external keyboard is connected. However, it is extremely inconvenient if you have a connected bluetooth keyboard.
Please would you consider to provide a toggle button to turn this feature off or just to test if a bluetooth keyboard is connected before appearing the virtual keyboard?
Thank you.
Hi, if you want to disable this feature, please enter about: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named ui.osk.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to false.
