VISA problem on a PC but not another

Hello

I've been successfully running a vi on a 32-bit XP computer to connect to an instrument via RS232. I have put the same vi on an old computer XP 32-bit, but getting a VISA error.

I can control the instrument of the same old computer using the same port, but running an application tailored to the instrument, then the hardware and port works fine.

I used a serial port monitor to watch what is happening. When I run the vi nothing appears in the port.

Can someone give me some clue to begin looking?

    I uninstalled and reinstalled. No change to each user.
    Crashes in safe mode as well (hold down the SHIFT key)
    No present addons in the other user.
    Ran Malwarebytes and cleaned
    Ran CCCleaner and clean up all registry including uninstalled Firefox entries.

    This is not useful if firefox crashes at startup. because you cannot start to create the new profile.

  • Aspire laptop connects to a wireless network, but not another

    First of all, I need to let you know that my home network consists of a Motorola router/modem from my ISP. I have the wireless off, then I use a cat5 ethernet cable to connect a Belkin wireless router, so that I can use the two USB ports on the back for a network storage device to make regular backups on all the pc in the House, and my printer not wireless, so we can print of anyroom home instead of taking the computer back to where the printer is. So about three days ago, I got my Aspire 5734Z-4386 laptop, and I don't have a wireless connection. So I checked my phone, and he always had a relationship with the Belkin. I took ten minutes to troubleshoot the Atheros AR5B93 wireless card. Could not understand why I didn't have a connection, it was great to work for about 12 hours before.

    If for some reason, I used another pc and connected on the Motorola and wireless turned on and immediately the Aspire showed a connection available, I clicked it and it says "connecting" for a few seconds and showed 'internet connection '. I spent about 5 minutes to surf the internet and then disconnected from the Motorola and reconnected to the Belkin, it says "connecting" for about a minute, then came to the yellow triangle, no internet. Back and clikced Motorola, once again the internet connection, but not on the Belkin. So I'm the other pc and checked the Web for the Belkin page to ensure that the Aspire had not been blacklisted in some way, there is nothing here to explain why I can't connect. So I spent three days, the adapter of the uninstall and re - install, I used the Motorola to download the latest driver for the adapter.

    When the Aspire is the Belkin network with the rest of the other pc, I have no problem, move files from and to the Aspire. I can use the Aspire to connect to one of the other pc and right click on a file and copy them to the Aspire and watch the file appear on the Aspire, take the Aspire and copy a file to another pc or use another pc to access the Aspire. But I can't get internet connection, unless I'm on the network from Motorola. Now, I had the wireless on the Motorola off so all attached devices would be on the same network, then we can share files, and other connected activities.

    I will admit that I am totally confused, it's not logical at all. I mean if someone else told me that their computer did this, I would have told them "it's impossible". Engineering wise, wise technology it not is not possible for an adapter do what made mine. But he does. Can someone please help me understand what is happening and how to fix it? I don't often admit defeat, but this time I've been beaten almost to death.

  • AS3 1120: error on a machine, but not another

    I was hoping that someone could help me with this problem. I get an error message 1120 on the same machine, but when I take over the project to another machine, everything works fine. I am running Flash CS6 and using a Sizmek template.

    I reinstalled Flash and the necessary extensions several times, but still no luck. I'm at the end of my mind as to what could cause this problem and I need to sort it out as soon as POSSIBLE. I get the error messages are the following:

    The action script is a standard template provided by Sizmek for use in advertising campaigns. The lines providing the error are:

    Line 1: EBBase.Init (this);

    As I said, the same exact project runs and exports absolutely fine on another machine, so the bug must be help somewhere in my installation!

    Sorry, reset preferences and reinstalling wouldn't help with your problem (what you know already).

    These classes must be available, or you can not compile a swf file.  This computer has access to this class way way.  Find out how and where the class is on the work, and you are on your way to solve the problem on the problematic computer.

    Hey guys, I had problems with Skype on my iPhone for a long time. And this happens only when I'm NOT on WIFI.

    Whenver someone present me a message, the message will be displayed on my phone as a notification. I always get these any problem. But when I click on the notification to read it in Skype, the message does not appear. Only when I connect to WIFI, it will download messages in Skype.

    I still have my PC on 24/7, with Skype running, so all messages also delivered there.

    I had this problem on my iPhone 4, 5 and 6 now. With iOS, 7, and 8.

    Sometimes when Skype is open in the background on my phone, or when it is closed. I have always received the notifications correctly. But when I load Skype, shows nothing.

    Very frustrating when I know I have a message, but I can not just play them!

    Push notification TURNED on in App Notifications are turned on. Under notifications Skype iOS, everything is turned on. And Skype is activated as a background App application update. And I use the cell data for active Skype.

    Yet once again, this ONLY happens when I'm on a cell/3-4 connection (G) Wi - Fi I constantly receive full messages delivered in the Skype application.

    • Connect to the DLink wireless router

    • All other devices in the House connects to the internet just fine
    • The HP in question connects to the router
    • It can ping the router and other computers on the router
    • It can connect to other computers and view the content
    • It can not connect or ping to the internet (ping google.com)
    • It cannot connect to the router (http://dlinklocal.local) (cannot display page)
    • It will connect when I do a system restore
    • It will usually connect for a few days, or even weeks, and then it will stop working
    • deactivation and reactivation of the connection do not work.

    I think that it is at least sufficient to get people started. I am totally frustrated and really want to throw the thing out the window and buy a Mac. (Just kidding--perhaps.)     What you have is a problem with your router.

    If you can connect and ping then the hardware works correctly.  Everything on the outside which belongs to the router or modem for the control connection.

    I have dealt with the same question to the House and found the type of router I was using not will give me a speed the internet as more than 3 devices when connected and stream.

    as soon as I got my brother-in-law to connect with his Ipad and phone to the router then boom my laptop will no longer go on the internet.  I can ping other devices without problem.

    Try to update the firmware on the router or modem.

  • F39o prints on one computer but not another

    I bought a PSC F390 laptop from my mother-in-law on Windows 7 Ultimate.  He set up the fine the drivers downloaded and updates, watch as your default and not display any errors in Device Manager.

    Here, it will not be printed.  Whenever I have try sound as if I have just send the task, and I get "Word cannot print due to a problem with the installation of the current printer", or "failed to get properties because the printer returned an error.

    No errors appear the diagnoses of the printer and the printer HP doctor has no idea either.

    Now, I excluded anything with the printer by printing a lappie for my girlfriend, also on Win7, with the same downloaded driver and the same printer head, and it's there, so I'm stumped.  I would be grateful for any suggestion...

    Thanks for the reply.  In fact, I managed to sort in the end.  It has nothing to do with the printer (as I suspected anyway because it printed on another machine), it was to the bottom for the operating system do not install correctly.  I did a repair install using the same disc I used to install the OS, and since then it has worked well.  I can only conclude that the spooler to print may or addressing of parts of the software USB port do not installed completely when I did the initial reconstruction.

    Computers right?

  • Why a method to create a constraint would allow the index to be used, but not another.

    With the help of:

    Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64 bit Production

    SQL Developer Version 4.0.2.15

    I had to do the following query on a table.

    Select distinct chdrnum, tranno

    of ractpf_pgr;

    I ran the setup of SQL in SQL Developer, who told me that he was doing a full table scan,

    (It's what you get using SEPARATE!)

    After some research, I discovered that if I put in question on columns not null check constraints

    and then recreated the index based on these columns, I'd get a full index scan instead of a table scan.

    Good news - off, I went and tried using the following method (I think it's call a constraint of out-of-line)

    and created one for each colmn using snytax below.

    ALTER table RACTPF_PGR add constraint CS_CHDRNUM_NN check (CHDRNUM is not null) validate;

    Ran my SQL Tuning Advisor again - no joy - a full table scan that was happening.

    Did some more research and recreated the constraints with the help of an online method

    ALTER TABLE RACTPF_PGR CHANGE (CHDRNUM CONSTRAINT CS_CHDRNUM_NN NOT NULL);

    My SQL Tuning Advisor is represented - and yes the index was used.


    But what I want to know why a method would cause the index to use another does not

    The second is a NOT NULL constraint.

    The a ('is not null') is technically not a NOT NULL constraint.

    Give me a moment to start my database, and I will demonstrate.

    The index does not store registrations for the lines where all components of the index are null, then the optimizer needs to see that the columns are not nullable to be able to use an index scan.

  • T500 GMA DVI Boot - Advanced Mini Dock: works with a monitor, but not another

    I have a type of T500 2242 with GMA X4500MHD graphics in Advanced Mini Dock. BIOS 1.20, startup display set to the DVI connector. Cable DVI - D single-link of the dock-> DVI - D input on external TFT monitor. I get different results according to the attached monitor:

    (1) PX191 19 "1280 x 1024 native plane: splash screen appears on the external monitor.

    (2) "Topaz" Soyo DYLM24D6 24 "native 1920 x 1200 S: external monitor stays off, the splash screen appears on the screen of T500.

    I also have a T42 with Mini DVI - D Dock, -- this one shows the start screen on the 24 "monitor without problem, using the same cable dvi - d single-link I tried with the T500.

    Good news! I sent my T500 in-service, and Lenovo replaced the motherboard. Now, the startup screen is correctly displayed via the dock to my monitor's DVI port external 24 ". After what Linux / X sees the external monitor and it puts in place and it displays correctly. So: problem solved! Thanks, Lenovo

    Before the swap of the Board of Directors system, I was able to use a cable DVI DisplayPort / talk to the 24 "monitor. This requires an extra cable to plug/unplug, so it's nice to finally have the DVI dock work.

    It seems that this problem only arises with some ThinkPad + external monitor combinations. My original system card worked fine with a 19 "monitor. And another Member pointed out that a single version of a 19 "works fine with its T500 Belinea monitor, even if a previous version does not. (See this thread for more details.)

  • Get-XmlNode syntax works in a script but not another.

    I extracted a highly respected two gurus PowerCLI script, mm. Alan Renouf & LucD.

    I use PowerGUI environment and find a script completes successfully, and we didn't. They perform different tasks, but I am curious to understand the syntax error I get.

    Both contain the 4 lines:

    function {Get-XmlNode

    Param ($path)

    $global: vInventory.SelectNodes ($path)

    }

    In my 1st script, I get the error "method call failed because http://System.String does not contain a method name"SelectNodes"."

    The same lines in my 2nd script complete successfully. I used the debugging capability to trace the message and the shutdown script too.

    Scenario 1, export vCenter ready authorizations for the import script: of Alan Renouf

    Text 2, vProfile dump of your hosts, machines virtual etc.: LucD (the $entity variable should reflect a valid group name)

    It seems to me the message is trying to say "I have no knowledge of the parameter you provided.

    I have attached two scripts if someone has a moment to consider.

    The reaason you encounter this problem with script 1 is because $global: vInventory does not contain an XML document, but a string.

    And the SelectNodes method does not know on a string.

    Attached a corrected version of the text 1.

    The fundamental problem was this line

    $global:vInventory = ""

    who should actually be

    $global:vInventory = [xml]""

    Note how the string is "cast" in an XML document!

  • Printing problems with PS CC, but not CS5 or CS6

    When printing the PS CC using the print dialog box I get a shift toward the severe red in the final print. When I print the image of PS CS5 or CS6, I get correct color printing.

    I am running a MacPro with OS 10.7.5 and a cannon with its latest firmware iPF8300 printing and the printer driver. I use the correct ICC profile for the paper. In the print dialog, I select 'Photoshop manages colors. "

    I noticed a couple of things:

    1. In the 'Print Settings' where I dial in the installation of the printer, 'Color' parameters are both disabled (Colorsync and seller).
    2. In the printer driver settings (still in "setting up the printer"), the "Color" tab is grayed out, but when I click on "Settings" for this sub-group of experts, Colorsync is selected.
    3. When I printed the image of the Canon PS plug-ins, the Red cast had disappeared, but blacks were too heavy (there is no box "Black Point Compensation" because the Canon plug-in uses Adobe Color Engine for this, and it is only 32 bits and will not work).

    An overview or advice would be appreciated.

    14.0 Photoshop or CC must be added to your AppColorMatchingInfo.xml file. This is the extraordinary case file that the driver of Canon reads so that when the application handles color is selected in the print driver in main/color Mode dialog box: by default, without Color Correction. If the name of the internal file of the application is not listed in the file AppColorMatchingInfo.xml main/color colours resulting in double default profiling Mode.

    If anyone can send me the Info.plist file inside the package 14.0 Photoshop or copy - paste or screen captures the Excutable file until version lines I get this problem in my updated AppColorMatchingInfo.xml file that I posted.
