Vise to install 1008:9,-5000 access denied error installation Vocalizer for Logic 9
I get the error:
1008:9,-5000 access denied error
As I am installing of Sonivox Vocalizer. It is a plugin for Logic 9.
I traced down on the threads here that it's a common problem with the vise Installer application that many use to install their software, so they do not install for the same reason. Apparently the cause of changes in security in mac OS.
How manually set privileges TEMPORARILY so that I can get this software to be installed from the installation disc?
P.S. I already do not clean install (only admin), updated, then disk utility used to repair permissions and that it was not fixed.
The system version: OS X 10.9.5 (13F1712)
Kernel version: Darwin 13.4.0
Model name: MacBook Pro
Model identifier: MacBookPro11, 3
Processor name: Intel Core i7
Processor speed: 2.8 GHz
Number of processors: 1
Total number of Cores: 4
(By heart) L2 Cache: 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Only suggestion I've seen who could work is to understand what files they are manually and selectively instal time machine. Don't know what files choose so what makes a very hit or miss solution and I would rather understand how to change the permissions.
Emailed to Sonivox support more than a week: no answer, so I post here.

Reset user - file property See post by Linc Davis
You may need to restore the permissions on your user account. To do this, start on your recovery partition (hold down the command and R during startup) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In the Terminal, type: 'resetpassword' (without the), press return, and then select the admin user. You do not have to reset your password. Click the icon of your Mac hard drive at the top. In the list box below, select the user account that has problems. At the bottom of the window, you will see a box labeled restore Home Directory permissions and ACLs. Click the button to reset there. The process takes a few minutes. When you're finished, restart.
Fix the permissions of the user

New Flash 9 won't install on Mac PPC - 1008:5,-5000 access denied error
I tried to install the new version of Flash 9 on my Mac Power PC (a G4 running OX 10.4.10). I received the following error messages:
"Error creating file: 1008:5,-5000 access denied error.
"You don't have enough privileges to access for this installation.
I tried a correction posted on the forum yesterday afternoon and the fix published here last night:
http://KB.Adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=4aa64290 & sliceId = 1
but these failed. The solution requires multiple users with different permission levels, but my Mac is a system of a user, and I have permission throughout the system.
I think that the problem lies in the installer itself and not the systems on which users install the software.
There are two types of install on a Power PC Mac: I call install Passive and Active.
Passive installation opens a file on the desktop and asks the user to drag the program icon in the Applications folder. Once the copy is complete, the program is installed. No authorization is required - no password must be affixed - because the copy function assumes that the user has permission to make the copy.
Active setup is running an installation program or a script, which place the program and the associated files in the appropriate in the system folders. Active installs ALWAYS require the installer enter the user name and password in order to continue installing - it validates permissions and Setup can continue.
Setup on your new version of Flash 9 is an Active installation program, but he asks NO username and password before you continue with the installation. It's the FIRST time I've ever seen this behavior with a program install Active, and I think that's the problem that people have with the installation.
chmod commands in the Terminal are a 'excessive difficulty', if you will forgive the expression. Simply re - write your Setup program to require username and password as all installers Active, and I believe that the problem will be solved.
Until you do this, my Mac has more Flash of any flavor. is there a previous version that I can download to get this software on my system, until correct you the installer?
Thank you.

I tried for days install the flash player on my mac (which I am the only user) Finally, I went in applications/utilities/disk utility
I opened the disk utility and chose my main hard drive and the tab first aid, basically, I selected "repair disk permissions". Once the process completed I restarted my computer and when I tried to install the flash player it worked like a charm
I hope this helps some of you

Apparently an involuntary change of administrative privileges or permissions (Windows XP Pro, SP3) keeps me updated Media Player version 9 to 11 v. and updated virus Security Essentials definitions. For Media Player, wmsetup.log reports access denied error 80070005 and UpdSpAPI.log reports access denied for the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Settings\MP3Encoding\LowRate registry key. In regedt32, I'm blocked from display HKLM\...\MediaPlayer\Settings and below, and "are allowed to view the current permission settings, but... can make a change." Except that I can't. I can enter the change but get «...» Access is denied"trying to apply them. So this is the first problem that I need help. But of course it's more than a registry key and the subkeys, because MSE too is affected and will download but not install virus definitions. WindowsUpdate.log reports: failed to install with error 80070643.My user account (it's the only one!) is part of the Administrators group and all that I tried to verify administrative permissions is positive. This is a new issue. No virus/malware, according to MSE, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, MalWarebytes Anti-Malware.Original title: cannot update Media Player or Microsoft Security Essentials - access denied Erors

"Access denied" error XP trying to access an external hard drive used on Windows 7
Hello
I used my external hard drive as usual on my XP machine for months, but yesterday I had to use it on another computer running Windows 7. Windows 7 asked something like "do you want to enable access to this hard drive?" and I clicked Yes thinking that it wouldn't cause any problems (showed a green bar that drains into the upper part of the window), but now that I'm trying to use it again on my XP machine I get an access denied error such as permissions changed. I just installed service pack 3, but which did not help.
Help it would be greatly appreciated the fixing, I'm happy to just continue to use the external drive on my XP machine - use it on other Windows 7 machine was just one time.
Thank you!
Simon

A couple of days, I've had accidentally one of the folders slipped on my hard drive in the folder above him and was presented with the "Access denied" error messages when I tried the two a) reglisser it out & b) open it from the record she had been driven to (which was not a folder of my making that is a jibberish titled folder containing two .vdm files it contains first)
After receiving advice of a friend, I did a restore from safe mode on the eve of the day when he moved and he did bring him back with all the files and files in the right place, but now I'm getting an access denied for each file, I try to play. Whether Real Player, Windows Media Player etc none will play.
Just to test, I slipped a .avi file in the folder to see if he was going to play and he did it can be the folder settings, I'm just hoping that all these files are now not corrupted and unplayable as I have some 180 GB of data in this folder in more than 1000 files.
Any help is very appreciated.
Kind regards

"Access denied" error when updating driver
My monitor is an HP w2207h (screen 22 "HD flat). I get "Access denied" error when you try to manually update the driver by using Device Manager. When I use the installation of HP or Windows Update utility, I just got a message that an error has occurred. I've recently updated my NVIDIA driver using windows update (VISTA 64). On reboot, I get a message asking me to select a driver for my HP flat screen monitor. When I try to install the driver by using the auto option or by downloading manually from HP, I get an "Access denied" error message. I am the administrator on the computer. Can you help me solve this problem?
It is alittle bit of a lenghty process, but it should help to solve the problem. Follow the steps in this KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315539 to show the devices 'hidden' in Device Manager. Browse the list of drivers installed for the graphics card and remove all drivers that are "grayed out" then uninstall the drivers for your monitor. Restart the system and try to install the driver at that time here.
What can be produced is installed the drivers can interfere with the currently installed driver and this should allow the system to update the driver correctly.

Movie Maker fails with general access denied error
Windows Movie Maker 6 in Windows Vista SP2 32 bit produces a general access denied error and does not run when an attempt is made to run by normal methods. Right click on the shortcut or icon and choosing "Run as Administrator" results in the successful launch of the program.
I went to the properties of Moviemk.exe and given full control permissions to the single user and also to the administrator, but the file still does not start by double-clicking.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thank you
Ron Carruthers
Hello Ron_C,
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, the number of items must be run in administrative mode. Even logged on as administrator, you are running as a standard user.
The Movie Maker 2.6 installer must be run with administrator privileges.1. Select the language
2. click on the download button.
3. click on "Run" to start the installation.I hope this helps.Thank youMarilyn

Windows movie maker 2.6 General access denied error
OK, I downloaded Director windows 2.6 for my computer windows vista... I did everything I could to fix the software and restarting the computer... How do I get windows 2.6 Director work? I.e. when I click on the shortcut on my desktop, that is to say the general access denied error... what should I do?
Hello mercercountyairsoftarmy,
After uninstalling Movie Maker 2.6, try the following.
Check to see if there are any corrupt system files.
Click Start
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:SFC/scannow
This will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.
Then restart your system.
Pease refer to (KB) knowledge base article if you find corrupted files:
Article 929833 - how to use the System File Checker tool to resolve missing or damaged on Windows Vista or Windows system filesThen, go to the file setup.exe and select run as administrator.
Please answer back with an update.

C:PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\System\SysMenu.dll access denied error
When my computer load and gets on the desk, I get access denied error RUnDLL: C:PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\System\SysMenu.dll , please give me a solution?
First of all, as precautionary measure, update your anti virus and run a scan full to see if it detects and deletes everything.
Then download and install autoruns - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and use it to try to locate any references to SysMenu.dll and if they disable them. Delete at this point, then test again.

Logon Windows Live Family Safety - access denied - error Code 80070005
Hello
I can't connect to Windows Live family safety.
I had it installed previously and it worked but he kept asking to open a session. When I tried to connect, I get the error.
I uninstalled it and re-installed, but still the same. After installation, I can not connect. I get this error message.
Access denied
Error code 80070005
I also had installed "Action Alert" because I'm under Win 7 and the time allocation feature works on Win 8 so I used Action Alert for the feature of time allocation.
I uninstalled it also.
Any help greatly apppreciated.
Hi Wayne,
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum.
Let me try and help you with this problem.
The "Access denied" error '80070005' error Code indicates that you do not have the permissions to change the parental control settings.
- Are you logged on to the computer as administrator?
- Are you signed in to the Family Safety with ID Parent website?
First, check the date and time is set correctly.
Right click on the clock in the system tray. Select adjust Date and time.Check and correct the month, day, year, hour, minutes and time zone.
Reboot if you have changed all the foregoing.
I would also refer to suggestions provided by "Christian_Co" and check if it helps:
Note: Microsoft Safety Scanner: data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.
Try these steps and let us know the result. If you have any other questions, we will be happy to help you.
