  I can boot into safe mode.
  Have not had any other problems with it - no errors, do not have installed/uninstalled anything recently.

  No doubt it can help you to restore the system to a previous point. If it doesn t help your only option seems to be to reinstall Windows I think. Therefore, you can use the Toshiba Recovery drivers with tools disk :)

  Since you formatted and installed windows, its non-secure mode. Try to install display drivers. You can check if the display drivers are installed correctly click Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> system. Hardware-> display adapters.
