Vista business operating system startup

When that I start my computer from a cold start (day before) he hangs at the Welcome screen.  Then I have to hit CTRL ALT DELETE to complete the trunk upwards.  The computer seems to work fine after that.  If I do a reboot it works normal.
What do you think could be the problem?

Hi swede922,

A hard reboot (also known as a cold reboot, cold start or cold start) restarts the computer without first accomplishing all shutdown procedure.

The computer may cling to the Welcome screen because the file system would be in a impure State. Normally, an automatic scan of disk file system structures will be before the start of normal operation.

  • Vista Business operating system: my E internal drive is almost FULL

    Drive E is almost complete: I can't drive data cleansing E that appears as almost whole, 2.83 MB of free space on GB 54.5. 10.6 GB free of 45 GB C drive after you remove programs and cleaning a. I did a defrag and still get a blue pie chart for drive E, HELP please.

    Hi Hall K,.

    I think I discovered where part of the space has been exhausted. It's in the file MYNAME-PC E and there are more than 100 x 100MB zip weekly backup files to the when I got my laptop at the end of 2008. I am afraid to delete them in case something has a value, but the last March 21 backup did not complete since E is complete. I can send pictures of the screen if an e-mail address is available. I intend to buy an external drive of 320 GB and disabled in the interval of automatic backup of files in the backup and Restore Center. I am getting a space low disk WARNING: drive E that I have to ignore, but on getting the new external drive, I have to transfer these 100 + zip on the external hard drive and then remove drive E and turn on the automatic backup of files. In the future, should I auto file backup or do I just save say monthly manually.

    I look forward to your responses,

    Best regards, Robert

  • NIC Vista guest operating system does not work

    I am running VMware Workstation 5.5.5 build-56455, on a Win XP Pro host system.

    I just installed Windows Vista business as a guest operating system, but I can't get the network to work.

    How to make this work?

    The 'real' my Dell workstation NIC is a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller, if it is relevant at all.

    Concerning

    MazH

    It seems that the virtual NETWORK adapter is not installed on the client, otherwise, you would see an adapter in the comments "ipconfig" with an APIPA address.

    Install the VMware tools in the comments (you always do). It contains the correctdrivers for the virtual card.

  • Can I put molten automotive leave after my Vista guest operating system stop?

    I use a single operating system to prompt with my Fusion facility.  Is Windows Vista.  Usually, I use the Vista environment a few minutes each day to run Quicken.  So I don't want to have Fusion it running all day or anything like that.  Ideally, I would like to be able to launch the VM in Vista, do my job to Quicken for a few minutes and then stop Vista and then it automatically also have stop and exit merger entirely.  By default, the virtual machine stops and let me melt which I must then also release the mouse or keystrokes.  Is there a toggle to implement the merger while it automatically closes after the last VM running is stop or something like that?

    A quick way to stop the virtual machine and exit the merger is:

    Go to the VMware Fusion menu-> preferences... Select when a virtual machine is closed: power off the virtual machine.

    Then, when you want to close the virtual machine and quit the merger, just command + Q or VMware Fusion-> quit VMware Fusion.

    Your virtual computer will stop and Fusion will automatically exit.

    It will be useful.

    WINDOWS VISTA CAN BE INSTALLED FROM A KEY PLAYER, (FLASH DRIVE)?

    Hey @oz0921 ,

    Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I've read about you want to load Windows Vista on your HP Pavilion 11-n010dx x 360.

    You can load Windows Vista from a flash drive, but your system shows me that you are running Windows 8.1. You might want to look at this document on Windows Dual boot.  Seems you have the old system running first and then you can dualboot.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • Vista premium operating system? need to use AVG anti virus and pc tune up?

    I have an older laptop OS Vista premium and AVG anti virus and p c tune up.

    I realize are now 8.1 W not the product AVG; can I rely on Windows defender disc cleanup, Defragmenter (and others I don't know) to protect the laptop? and remove AVG as I did on my most recent portable W8.1 mind?

    Thank you

    FOR EXAMPLE

    Hello TedGibney,

    As in earlier versions of Windows, for example, the Bill said Windows Defender, Vista only acts as an Anti-Spyware. It was only in later additions of Windows that Microsoft has added anti virus ability.

    As you have used AVG before I would suggest that you follow this anti virus application, when you are running Windows Vista.

    About PC Tune Up it would be wise to not use that, like many Tune Up / registry cleaners these applications can cause more problems than they actually heal.

  • I'm unable to save all the files on my pc which runs with Vista Ultimate operating system

    I'm unable to save all the files in any application. The dialog box type of flickers in the background, but nothing happens.
    Happens if I am recording a chart on the web using a web browser. Happens when I create a file in Excel or Word, Paint, and Serif (possibly other applications which I am not using at the moment) and then click on "Save as."

    It happens if I opened a pdf file from any source (be it on my drive hard or on the web) and click on "Save as" to save another copy.

    It happens when I'm using a web-based e-mail service, and if I want to add an attachment, as soon as I click on the Upload button, nothing happens.

    It happens when I try to export a scanned image of my scanner, to a file.

    I get no error with the exception of this shimmering when one would expect to see a dialog box.

    But, it happens when I create a new file in Notepad, which is a weird exception

    It started to arrive 3 days ago, and I have not loaded any new software changed the settings I can think. (with the exception of mcAfee who has downloaded an update almost everyday)

    I restarted my computer several times since and searched the net to find answers, but it seems I'm the only one afflicted.

    I would appreciate if someone can shed some light on this.

    Thank you

    I ran scandisk and check sfc, but that did not help. Instead of trying a system restore, I tried the opposite: installed at every possible update available.
    Result: Problem solved!

  • Missing installation of Vista Business disc

    I recently received a portable Panasonic with a key of Windows Vista Business operating system, but no installation disc.  I read an article that you can download this from Microsoft, but I am unable to find it.  Any solution is fine, but I need a disc instaliation.

    Thank you for your time.

    No free and legal downloads are available.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
