You will need to get a Vista compatible program.

If this is not Vista compatible, and Compatibility Mode does not work, etc, there nothing that you can do otherwise that to try this (which generate fees):

Virtual PC 2007

Download the full version of Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.

Buy and install a Windows operating system earlier (XP, Windows 2000) in the above Virtual Machine and try to run your program in that.
Vista Home Premium is not supported by Microsoft using Virtual PC above, but Virtual PC will work in it.

See you soon.

  • Cannot install Adobe Acrobat 5 because of Vista compatibility

I just replaced a XP Pro computer with a 32-bit Vista Business box. XP Pro had Acrobat 5 installed from the CD and more later put upgraded to Acrobat 7 via a download purchase. I have the serial number of the version 7 of the file, but the operation fails due to the absence of a software qualification (the previous version). While trying to install version 5, I get an error of this facility and Vista compatibility. I start here in case there is something with that Microsoft can help you, if not I will contact Adobe for help. Thanks, dave
PS. If it turns out that Acrobat 7 also has a compatibility issue in Vista, a possibility would be to downgrade to XP Pro.

Are you referring to the Acrobat authoring application, Yes (not Adobe Reader)?
If so, I'm sorry to inform you that even Acrobat 7 don't is not supported by Adobe under Vista - only version 8.1 or higher:

  • Best vista compatibility mode.

Answer key Question: were a few OS versions origonally.

When a program can be run in Win XP or Win 2000, should what vista compatibility mode I use XP or 2000? I have an old Lexmark Z22 printer with 2 sets of apps & drivers. A game is for XP only & the other is for XP & 2000.

You will need to contact Lexmark about their product of the printer.

You need printer drivers Vista from the site of Manufactuter's Web (Lexmark) of the printer.

We cannot say that the Win 2000 printer drivers will work with the Vista operating system.

We can only give you advice that we know.

Printer manufacturers write the printer drivers Compatible for each operating system successive, until they decide it's time to produce a new line of printers that are compatible with the latest operating system/s.

They then stop writing compatible drivers for the old printer.

Then you must upgrade the printer to a model more late printer to work with the new operating system.

  • Hearing 3.0 Adobe Vista compatibility

Will you please advise me because I'm lost.

I need to know if the application called "Adobe hearing Vista Compatibility 3.0" is

    (1) an appropriate program that requires its own license to purchase.

    or

    (2) just a service version, which does not require a license, but document is therefore covered by the license for Audition 3 document.

I need this for a software license compliance report.

I do not have access to the PC of the company, so I can't go anywhere, a check or ask someone.

    I'm sitting in another company.

Normnally I can find the info I'm looking for on the internet, but I can't decide on this one.

The info comes from "Add or remove programs".

    Help, please!

Oh, I 'm absolutely sure that he didn't need a separate license!

  • Satellite Pro L10 and Vista compatibility

    Hi all.

Being a 3rd year computer science student I feel like I should be able to answer this myself, but since this is a laptop and not a desktop computer, I'm stumped.

I'm looking to upgrade to Windows Vista when it launches and I ran the compatibility for her Wizard and its lifting to the top a major - the graphics card. Now, I know that it is not possible to switch from a graphics card on a computer laptop because its actually on the motherboard itself, but it says that my Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller has 64 MB of memory and requires 128 mb.

So here's my question - is - a can move the memory associated / assigned to this card?

In addition, he said that it must have the support of 32 bit / pixel which once again is not my card. An update of the driver would help or should I resign myself to the fact that Windows Vista won't be compatible with my laptop.

    Bravo guys,.

    Scott

    Hello

The fact is that this card was delivered with a 64 MB shared memory graphics card.
This is a maximum value of the memory that the card can manage.
I wonder every day on the question about Windows Vista and compatibility issues. The fact is that Windows Vista is not official on the market.
I'm sure that Toshiba will support the Vista in the future, but right now, there is no drivers Toshiba for this OS.

  • Halo 2 for Windows Vista compatibility problems?

I have problems of execution of Halo 2 for Vista after installing it on my Windows 7 installation.  Whenever I start it, it immediately goes to "No answer" as soon as it loads.  I tried to start with the compatibility options for all versions of Vista (plain, sp1, and sp2) but nothing works.  It seems to freeze at the part where it loads in the Games for Windows Live components.  I saw elsewhere that people have problems with this and that by removing completely all Games for Windows games and executives charge then reinstall them with Halo 2 first worked.  This has not worked for me, and after some further experimentation, I decided to check if it was a hardware problem, so I did a clean install of Vista and had no problem if he started.  All my drivers are up to date, but I can't find any more away.  Any suggestions?

  • Windows 98/95 Vista compatibility

I tried using the compatibility to 98 pack / me and for 95 I'm running "STAR WARS: JEDI KNIGHT, DARK FORCES II ' it has an auditor-thing that checks to see if your computer can run, I can throw and get through to the beginning cutscenes, but I can't to the menu in the game - I need a pack of improved compatibility 98/95 (if there is such a thing) I'm using Windows Vista Compaq laptop

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to make the old games as it works on Vista or even XP.  Older games had 16-bit elements in them, and 16 bits dropped in XP and Vista.  XP has a compatibility mode that works sometimes with these games more old, but Vista doesn't really supports 16-bit at all.  If you have an old copy of Windows 98, you can consider creating a dual boot installation and start-up in 98 to play older games, you have to go forward.  But finding drivers for modern hardware can be difficult.  You can also try Microsoft Virtual PC to run Windows 98 into your Vista machine.  But I do not know how well game performance will be.

  • Other editions of windows Vista compatibility

A game made for Windows 2000/95/98/ME/XP will work well with vista?

Well... Yes you can configure by right click on the .exe program file, go to properties, then the Compatibility tab. There you can change the option by choosing the operating system do you think that the program has been designed for. Feel free to experiment with the different options, until you are satisfied with the result. Some programs, however, do not like this feature and work still worse or not at all (especially BACK or Win 95 programs). In any case just... play with Windows and see! : D

  • Outlook Express works in Vista compatibility mode in another way?

    Hello

Can I get Outlook Express to run in 32-bit Vista Business SP1 somehow?

I checked the forums (positions) and the Windows Compatibility Center (who says OE is not compatible, but only mentions Win 7 and 8 and there is no alternative) but I received no answer.  Most of the motions deal with forward messages from OE to new forms of e-mail programs.
In a software engineering job MS comes to wane answer:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-hardware/Windows-Live-Mail-versus-Outlook-Express-in-Vista/4aa286c7-C16F-4f07-86f1-785e48ceb42e

I am faced with a dilemma.  My laptop has come back for repairs and a new drive because HARD has been adjusted requires a new installation of the OS.  By default, it starts in Vista Business SP1, but it also comes with the downgrade to XP Pro.  When I first bought the machine, a little more than 3 years ago, I opted for the downgrade.

I have dealt with an earlier version of file not compatible with Vista and versions later (by converting documents to PDF format) and I tested Lotus 1-2-3 and millennial Organizer in Win 7 and 8, in which they work.  On this basis, I suppose they will work in Vista.

Now my major obstacle to go to Vista's OE.  I still have to test if my "marked as unread" and red flag messages will export successfully (without losing their 'flags') to MS Outlook or, preferably Thunderbird, but in the meantime I am facing decide to go with Vista or take the road to downgrade to Vista.

I know in Win 7, it is a VM mode or compatibility, but is there something in the Vista Business?

    Thanks much for any help.

  • Windows Vista compatibility issue and "Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition"

Installed the game fine, but when I play the game, it appears a problem of compatibility window telling me to look for solutions on this site. I tried 'right' by clicking on the icon of the game and go to the properties and then the compatibility, but that did not solve my problem. Does anyone know how I can fix it, or is there a download or a patch that I need. Please let me know. Thank you.

If I'm looking in the right place, I also see a patch 1.68. You may need to install the patch 1.68 before installing the patch 1.69. All you can really do is try and see if it works. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful at this time.

  • BEFSR41 V2.1 and Windows 7/Vista compatibility

I have a wired V2.1 BEFSR41 with 1.46.02 firmware.  He works very well with several varieties of W98SE, W2000 and XP machines over the years.

When I installed VMWare a few years ago, I noticed that the Vista VM does not have to connect to the router.  As I was testing just local stuff, I don't bother to investigate or solve the problem.

Now I have a new HP Windows 7 computer, and do not access when connected to the router.  The diagnosis think not that the cable is connected.

When I plug the modem DSL directly in the box of W7, I connect to the internet.  In addition, I notice that when I plug the modem into the area of W7, there is some flashing lights on the adapter inside the box.

However, when I plug the cable from the router (the same who normally works fine with XP machine) in the Windows 7 box, none of the LEDs on the network flash card.  This is probably an allusion to the fact that things do not work.

I tried to disable the IPv6 protocol.  That did not work.  I have the latest firmware for the V2.1 according to the Linksys support site. I tried another cable.  I tried several resets since pinhole at the front of the router, several power cycles and reboots of the box of W7.

So I guess the BEFSR41 V2.1 with 1.46.02 is not compatible with Vista and Windows 7.   Any ideas?

What is the IP address you found on the Vista or Win7 computer when connected to the router...?

Click on start > all programs > Accessories > guest... A black box will appear (command prompt)... In the command prompt window type ipconfig and press "Enter"... Look for Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection address IP, subnet mask, and default gateway...

If you get mentioned above IP address, a subnet and address the gateway then you ping the gateway, type ping 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... If she gives you ask has expired, and then disable any firewall, the security software on the computer...

If you get 4 replies then type ping 4.2.2.2 and press ENTER, if you get the request exceeded, then you must update the firmware on your router... If you get 4 replies then type ping yahoo.com and press ENTER... If you get answers from Yahoo, then you should get the Internet after adjusting the browser settings...

Setting of the browser settings: open an IE, click on tools > Internet Options, and then delete all files, cookies, history, forms... GoTo 'Connections', make sure that never Dial a connection is selected, click on network settings and make sure that all the options are unchecked... Once you are finished, click OK... Close IE and reopen...

If yahoo expires, provide static DNS on your connection to the local network...

Click the Start button > settings > Panel > Network Connections - right click on Local area connection icon and go to properties On the "Général" tab, select "TCP/IP Internet Protocol" and click on the properties button - select "Use the following DNS parameters" DNS preferred 4.2.2.2 DNS auxiliary - 4.2.2.3 > Click on the button Ok to save and click on 'Close' in the main window of properties... You should be able to go online...
