  • How can I prevent the Vista layout muted sound when I lock the system?

In the last days Vista began muted sound of my computer when I lock the system. It did not before. I don't understand how or why it started. This has caused some applications to stop using sound altogether when I unlock the system.  I don't want Vista to turn off sound when it is locked.  How it stop doing that?

Thanks for the reply.  I could solve the problem. I had a number of non-essential Windows updates that were listed in Windows Update.  I upgraded to MS Security Essentials, 2 security for MS Visual C++ and nVidia Display updates.  Also, I used Vista to find the updated drivers for one of my cards (Realtek HD Audio sound), and he said that my driver is up to date.  But I found a newer Realtek HD Audio driver from the Realtek site and updated with it.  I rebooted after the two installs (updates of Windows were in a facility) and tested my audio problem / locking and audio stayed on when the PC was blocked, that's what I wanted to like Vista of inhibition during the closure was causing problems with use of some software 3rd party audio after you have unlocked.

in any case, I have just recorded some session and every little movement in my mouth at an angle on the microphone, the height, proximity, makes a HUGE difference in the speech output.  Sometimes I can here my breathing, other times im very sweet.

As it is impossible to stay perfectly still while recording when im doing a simulation and move, im wondering how I do about it?

What is the best thing for recording, a microphone ona stand? that is my current setup...

Here you can see what im talk... forgive me, its my first good living, although I did some practice those, it was for the iw ork ppl for so its official so to speak lol... http://www.blcstudents.com.au/tutorials/valid.htm

I'm in a classroom, I have nothing in front of me and I have no other noise coming in, very quiet sound when I record. I have two computer monitors in front of me is everything and my laptop im saving it to.

Its a laptop nice new Toshiba with good i5 core and 1 GB graphics card, also decent little machine for what im doing...

    Any thoughts would be great.

    MY concerns are:

    I use the bad microphone?

Can I use a headset instead?

How do the guys on linda.com this sound reproduction smooth?

Thank you all, always appreciate your help!

Yes.  That's the one. But the blue yeti is rumored to be even better because you can set it to receive the sound of two directions at once.  So you can use it as a micro-sets when you record your own voice but also use it as a two-way microphone, which is very useful if the recording of a conversation between two people.  See here: http://www.bluemic.com/yeti/

The problem is that there is no provider it Jersey in Australia and not many suppliers to the United States is ready to Board here.

    It's the Podcaster Rhode: http://rodemic.com/microphone.php?product=Podcaster

But I use a boom microphone Rode with my podcaster and loved it so much I bought another to ride the snowball:

The boom makes it much easier to find a good position for the microphone that still lets me see my Notes slide (voiceover script).

  • NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.

  • Microsoft Lifecam 5000. Whenever I'm recording video with her, during playback, I hear clicking on and a beep sound when the camera focuses

Hello, I have problems with my Microsoft Lifecam 5000. Whenever I'm recording video with her, during playback, I hear clicking on and a beep sound when the camera is focusing. If I put it to my ear, the sound is low but I can still here it when it focuses.

  • Crackle on audio/entry track record - no buffer, plug-ins or sound card. AAARGH!

I have a slight Crackle on phonograms and supervision right of entry and via these forums and other troubleshooting failed diagnose the problem. Seems to be a product where caused by the audio signal, as occurs in response to an audio input (guitar and bass), not a constant or random noise. A faster attack of the audio signal produced more noticeable crackling.

It happens to all sizes of the I/O buffers

CPU load does not seem to be a problem - CPU monitor, both within the logic and across the system may display less than 10% (between all hearts) and it happens when dry recording in a project with a single track (audio) without plug-ins.

Established between Apogee Duet and Scarlett Solo using different cables and which makes no difference.

Does not occur during playback back already recorded audio - only new records and monitoring live (or recorded on a track and playback) entry

Removed the unused midi drivers from (a thread somewhere suggested that for a similar problem).

.. I am now mainly to a loss of the cause. Don't you no creaking when recording an audio file to QuickTime via the loudspeaker internal, next step, I can think of is to install Garageband (but reluctant to pay apple even £3.99 they want to download it to the app store!) and see if crackle present in audio recordings, in order to reduce it to a software problem (fingers crossed) all the material from the laptop. Or get a copy of logic 10.0 and see if the problem persists in this.

Recently reinstalled logic 10.2.1 after repeated crashes (and abandonment of strength) when manually move the playhead... as well as other minor bugs 10.2.1 seems to have been shipped with, but this problem started a week or two after re - install, no problems so far here.

As someone has any ideas other than a glance phone to Apple, which I fear would be very useful even when it doesn't seem to be a known issue.

  • No sound when recording audio files

Hello I have a new computer and the audio wma recorder does not work.

Hello I have a new computer and the audio wma recorder does not work. While the recorder creates audio files, there is no sound on them. I use a Realtek audio set headphones and I am at a loss what to do I tried all options of shooting game of his trouble, which did not help. I need instructions specific to how to get the tape recorder to record.

    Hi DanielAmitai,

    ·         What operating system do you use?

If it's Windows 7, so please note that Sound WMA MP3 recorder is not compatible with the operating system.

    http://www.MP3-WMA-recorder.com/

Uninstall the program and try to install in compatibility mode and see if it helps.

    (a) right click on the configuration file (the file setup.exe for the software), and then select Properties.

    (b) now, click on the Compatibility tab and check the box that says run this program in compatibility mode for.

    (c) select Windows Vista (Service Pack 2). Click on apply and OK.

    (d) now right-click on the configuration file and select run as administrator and follow the normal installation procedure. Check to see if it helps.

    For more information, see:

Make older programs in this version of Windows

You can also check if there is an update available from the manufacturer.

  • Crackle M4800 Audio when the sound is played (if no sound has been played for a while)

I have a new DELL Precision M4800 running Windows 7.

There is a distinct noise pop crackle that occurs when the sound is played (if no sound has been played for a while.)

If the laptop is audio playback currently it looks good, but if the laptop is quiet for a while and then something like an e-mail notification is available, crack/pop noise happens as the driver/speaker is trying to wake up.

The problem occurs with the laptop connected and detached.

    -Edit

The solution for me was provided by pknb below.

Reference Dell Open Audio in the control panel. Go to advanced, energy management. Disable the option to disable audio devices.

I do not have the Audio from Dell driver installed - and it seems that maybe the default setting is that the speakers put in 'sleep' in the context of a power saving mode. Looking at my description above I even referenced at the time of the issue seemed to be that the speaker was not long in 'waking '. In any case after you change this setting the problem now seems to be resolved.

Reference Dell Open Audio in the control panel. Go to advanced, energy management. Disable the option to disable audio devices.

When I record a video with my treo 800w, is not capture all the sounds. Am I missing something? I can't find a setting to fix this problem, if it exists. This phone record sound when shooting video? If so, anyone know how to get there?

I had going. I feel a bit stupid, but just in case someone did the same thing as me... If you have the volume button disabled on the top of the phone does not have his back. Imagine that. I have the sound away at my job and usually leave it off. I always thought of him as a ringer switch not a complete audio switch. My bad. It turns out all my clips that capture sound. • Adding "drops"sound"when my podcast recording

Hello! I recorded a podcast with Audition CS6, and I want to play essentially drops sound during the show.  How can I do this?  Is there something within hearing which will add sound during a recording, or should I use another program to do this?

    Thanks for any help.

By "drops"sound"you mean things like sound effects and musical stings?  If so, the hearing is primarily a tool of production post so it would be easy for all continuing to mount and mixer, but is not really possible live within hearing.  I know there are specific podcasting tools that allow this, but this isn't something I do, I can't recommend a.

... or, a trick I used quite often, there are various programs that allow you a random Instant playback from either another computer or a smart phone.  If your audio interface can handle this, do it as it works very well and makes feel you almost like a broadcast studio.

  • Satellite A300 PSAG4E - no sound when you plug an electric guitar

    Hello everyone!

I have a very difficult problem. I've got model Satellite A300, PSAG4E its short no, with Windows XP SP3 installed.

The point is that I need to plug in an electric guitar to my computer and once it is plugged in, RealTek HD sees him but produces, records or not distinguished any sound.

Everything is on, then I'm afraid that this isn't my inattention which is to blame.

In case someone already had such a problem with guitar or a microphone plugged into the laptop, please inform me how you managed to eliminate this kind of things.

    Thank you.

On my laptop I have Realtek HD Audio Manager also, but there is no option for registration. When the external microphone is connected Manager I see info on Realtek audio devices reloading and the microphone is recognized correctly, but in my opinion this Manager has nothing to do with the record.

For the record, you need other software. In Vista, you have small tool called recorder of sounds. I tested it on my laptop and the sound will be recorded correctly.
Can you please test it too?

The fact is the external device is recognized correctly, but I think for sound recording, you need additional software.

  • How to disable direct sound when you use a plugin for guitar?

I use the Waves GTR plugin for recording guitar in Logic Pro X, but because it puts a lot of pressure on the CPU, I tried he governs through a "bus" instead of having the plugin separately on every guitar track. The difference is that when I use the bus option, I can't seem to get rid of dry direct sound which is obviously very embarrassing. The only way for me to get rid of the direct sound is to use the RTM plugin on every guitar track that quickly causes the overload program when using several of these titles.

Anyone know how to get rid of the direct sound when you use the alternative of bus for the guitar tracks?

just at the exit of the guitar channel strip no output. This way you won't hear at the follow (because the dry track will not be transmitted to any output)
