Vista disable connections remotely and connections wireless of msdos commands

On Windows Vista, how can use you the msdos commands to disable remote and wireless connections.  He is a person unfamiliar with computers.

Hi DarnellFelton,

·         Why do you use msdos commands to disable remote and wireless connections?

·         Are you facing problems with remote and wireless connections?

The command prompt entries that are available for (mstsc) remote desktop can be found here:

Use parameters in command line with remote desktop connection

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/use-command-line-parameters-with-remote-desktop-connection

You can use NetSH WLAN to change wireless connections:

Netsh commands for Local wireless network (WLAN in Windows Server 2008)

Hope this information is useful.

I accidentally disabled my internet on Windows 7 and took me a while to find how to enable it. I figured that out, but now it only picks up all public or private wireless signals. My desktop runs picked up a public connection to a store on the street and yet my Asus G60Vx captures not all networks.  I ran the store and nothing happens even when it runs.

All I wanted to do was to repair the connection, but instead, I clicked on disable. How to turn off creates such a hassle.

There is no button that is easy to find that even plug the wireless network adapter.

and after him, he doesn't yet. Why is there such a hassle to click a wrong button and IMO, there must be a better way to reactivate the card after having stopped it on windows 7. I disabled several times on my desk on my XP and never had problems, allowing it, but on windows 7, it seems too complicated just to find the Activate button...

You can easily disable or enable the network card of the "network and sharing Center."
Another way is to use ncpa.cpl command to launch the search.

  • Try to configure Windows XP Pro and Vista Home Premium to connect wireless to a field internal.

Hello. I recently graduated from a COMPUTER course that was very intense, but I don't think that it covered all the basics for me quite challenge the MCSA exams. In order for me to do, I bought a bunch of MS Press books covering ISA Server, Server 2003, Exchange, etc. My journey made us buy copies of Server 2003 and XP Professional, so that we can continue to practice at home.

One of the things I wanted to do has been implemented a network in my home, using the software I have (not about to try 2008, although I think that one of the books I ordered comes with a version of a test - but it is in a game for the MSITP exams).

This is how I currently have my network configuration. Currently, everything is wireless. I have 1 spare computer that I use as DC with active driectory.

Currently I have a router D-Link DIR 655 (located in the basement) which acts as a gateway to the internet server and dhcp on my network and WPA2-PSK encryption use.

I have a laptop with Windows XP Pro top (that I gave to my wife - old laptop I have baught strictly for the course, I took), and it is completely wireless. It is located on the ground floor.

I have an office (located on the 2nd floor) using Vista Home Premium 64-bit. It's wireless.

There is also a network of printers laser color next to the router in the basement, connected via an ethernet cable.

On the main floor is also my Wii, which connects wireless.

So, as you can see, it's a mixture of differnet devices connected through my router.  I have the Wii or the printer to connect to the domain specifically. The printer must be accessible to computers on the domain, but the wii should just be able to connect to the internet via the router.

The spare box I have kicking around, I put 2003 on server and install active directory. I will also implement via this network storage server. I would like to put up to control the accounts of users of my wife and myself and that it uses roaming profiles.

This works very well when it connects directly through, but how to configure something like this works wirelessly? I read something on another forum in which is setting up a wireless bootstrap, to authenticate against a Radius Server, and then log in to the domain. However I don't have the money to spend to get ISA Server.  The server will be basically be there just to provide roaming profiles and to store things out of our systems, incase we have problems with one of our computers. We could set up something for our own internal e-mail in the future, but since we live in the same House, it seems rather useless at the moment lol maybe set something in the future to let the other note or purchase or to do list. But for now, just want to configure what initially appears to be a single domain with roaming profiles.

Everyone has tried to do that? Connection of the wireless networks in a field, with a router provides the address and gateway?

    Carlo

  • between my computer and router wireless connection (vista, premiem windows 7, 64 bit)

Hey I recently had problems with my connection Wireless between my computer and the router.
Normally off during the night is not connected to my router or on the internet the next day.

I have been in close contact to my isp provider and have received a new router and reset my wireless Internet services provider site but I'm still having problems. I have also updated my drivers for my wireless on my laptop Hp G62 and have found that it will not cut when I do not shut down or sleep during the night.

When you try to solve the problem, it will come back with "problem with the adapter or wireless access point and then asked to disconnect the power to the router. After doing this it will be fine all day.
I do also to turn a blackberry 9000 "BOLD" and see first thing in the morning if the wireless is connected or not.

ask for help, here is my last option I have been through everything and had an expert look at my computer where he found nothing wrong with my computer or wireless set up settings.

any help or advice would be great

    Hello

    1. do you have problems connecting with Windows 7 or Vista?
    2. you remember of any change to your computer before the problem?

Make sure that there is no interference between your router and your computer. For example. Mobile phones, like the mobile signals could conflict with your router signals and therefore no connection to your computer.

You can uninstall and reinstall the Device Manager wireless network card.

To uninstall the wireless device manager,

    a. Click Start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.
    b. Locate the network adapters and expand the same.
    c. Select the wireless connection, right click and choose uninstall.
    d. restart the computer, if prompted.

Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.

Now you can install the latest wireless drivers and check if this solves the problem.

I have a HP Pavilion with Windows Vista 32 bit home premium d4790y.  I can connect to my ISP wireless router using the HP internal network adapter, but the connection between the router and the internet does not work unless I downgrade the router security to WEP.  If I connect to the router via a wired connection, I can connect to the internet without problem even with WPA2.  I did all the troubleshooting steps recommended as reset the router to check updated network adapter, uninstall/reinstall the network adapter driver, driver release and renew the ip configuration, etc.  Information?  Is there a newer driver that is not recognized during the update search process?

    Hello

It is a hardware thing and the wireless card does not support this. Changing the wireless card can be the way to go.

    I hope this helps.

  • In windows Vista (Home Premium) Remote Desktop connection does not work correctly

I installed and re-installed my Vista (Home premium) 2 times already because of the remote desktop connection.  I have a problem connecting from another laptop running windows 7 to connect to my desktop running Vista.  The remote control works on the other hand the meaning of desktop running vista, laptop running windows 7 Professional.
Looking at the Vista under \System\Remote setting\Remote tab which shows the remote assistance box, but the Office box where you can choose what type of connection can be established remotely is missing.

I went though all as responses to forum, but nothing helped.  Even in a "sfc/scannow" command prompt running did not help.  It is said that he finds corrupted files, but it cannot solve all corrupted files.  That's why I reinstalled windows hoping to fix this problem but WITHOUT SUCCESS.

Can anyone help?  I've attached a screenshot of what I see in vista.

You can connect FROM an original version of Windows to another computer, but you cannot connect to an original version of Windows.

    Hello

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    ------------------

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

Make sure that if there are teas from Wireless Utility of seller does not work with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

  • 5520 HP usb and a wireless connection at the same time

I have set up my new 5520 HP with USB connected to my desktop (Vista) for maximum reliability and can print via printer share from my laptop (XP), but I'm obviously missing out on HP web services.  Can I have the USB connection or wireless connection at the same time?

    Hello f1charlie,

Its new r: YES, because it would be 2 printer icons. One for the USB and the other for the wireless.

The icon of the printer wireless would be similar to Hp 5520 (network).

You can set these printer (USB or network) icon to by default.

But again, every time that you want to print using any application. Click file > print, which will display a dialog box, where, in, you can select the printer icon.

    Kind regards

  • OfficeJet 6500 and router Wireless does not connect

I just bought an Officejet 6500 and try to connect to my wireless router.  Whenever I try to connect the printer to wireless it crashes.  The power button does not light, but the screen is lit without text.  At this point, I can't close or get it running again.  I am running Vista Business 64-bit, and the router is a 2wire 1800 HG through AT & T.  It works very well with a usb connection.

    Thanks in advance.  John

I think you just meet a known issue with some printers of HP network with routers 2WIRE AT & T DSL.

Have identified us the problem and will deploy an update in the future.  So far, the work around is to assign a static IP address to the printer. Here's a way to do this:

    1. Unplug the phone line from the 2WIRE router
    2. Cut the power to the 2WIRE router, wait 30 seconds, then turn on the power.
    3. Go through the normal process of the printer connected to the 2WIRE (Ethernet or Wi - Fi) device. The printer will not crash as long as the telephone line is disconnected from the 2WIRE device.
    4. The Officejet front panel, go to the menu of 'Advanced Setup' under 'network '.
    5. Select 'Settings of intellectual property', acknowledge receipt of the warning and select "" manual IP ".
    6. Select "IP address" and change the last group of IPS (byte) to something higher or lower. Specifically to your 2WIRE router, select 192.168.0.60.
    7. Press Ok and plug the phone line into the 2WIRE router.

  • Dell Latitude D830 and Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN drops connection

    Hi all

I hope someone can help me here. My laptop keeps giving up the connection to a modem within 20 seconds after the connection. I run XP Professional, my ISP is sky and I have a Netgear modem provided by Sky.

I have another machine running Vista (an Acer Aspire 5670) here and I'm having no problem with stay connected on this computer.

I am able to stay connected on any wireless network, except on my own modem. (I recently traveled and was able to connect in hotels, airports and conference centre without losing the connection once!)

I recently moved and the problem existed at the old House and now in the new House too. Initially we thought it would be more aggressive radio trying to get a signal strong (er), abandoning the connection looking for another, but it only happens with this modem. There are approximately 11 other networks in range. I changed the radio signal to all channels, nothing did.

Sky said it is not the modem and they can't send a new one because clearly there is no problem that the other laptop is connected correctly. I am at my wits end here because I couldn't stay connected wireless to the House since I have this laptop (almost 3 months now) HELP!

PS, Connection to the LAN is no problem through the same modem, it's just the wireless connection connects and then abandoned.

The Intel wireless event viewer shows:

authentication, and then said: 'itinerant event of pilot '. Shortly after Unauthenticated (name SSID)

    link down

Authentication is ok for these 20 seconds, I'm connected, I'm able to access e-mail and the internet
