Vista does not open a cd/dvd using MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA Device

my laptop has a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA Device. but it does not open a cd/dvd. Why?

Hello

1 recently, you did changes to the computer?

Method 1. Uninstall and reinstall the cd - dvd drive.

If the drive is not listed, remove and reinstall the existing drivers.
To do this, follow these steps:
a. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
b. click System and Maintenance, click System and then click on Device Manager.
Note that if control panel is in Classic view, double-click System and then click on Device Manager.
c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
d. in Device Manager, expand CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, right click on the device CD and DVD and then click on uninstall.
e. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK and restart the computer.
After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically.

Method 2. The firmware was updated.
I would also recommend updating the firmware of the CD - DVD drive.
You may need to contact the manufacturer for it.

I hope this helps.

The operating system does not detect the Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device on my Toshiba Satellite. I tried Microsoft Auto difficulty and it didn't fix it. The CD player worked last week when I installed ITunes software. Now, the driver cannot be detected. Known corrections or suggestions?

You must uninstall, then reboot and let the program installation is the device when it restarts. If the correct drivers are found, it will install. In case of failure, it's probably because Search Setup default is files of the user and not the C:\windows\inf or directories c:\windows\system32\drivers\, which you can specify by choosing to install from a list or specific location, and then by typing or by going to the it. If this fails, check the bios settings.  But most likely your original driver was silently replaced, by a program system file or a third-party application. If need be, you can try a system restore to return the parameters of your system to a point in time where everything worked. I would try one more point to restore and not a newer version, preferably a restore point launched machine, not one caused by installing or removing a program or a driver. Hello world

My laptop - Satellite P 160 does not read and does not recognize my CD/DVD readers. In other words, it's like there is no such thing as "D".

It seems a problem with the carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA... or the driver of it. I'm not sure to be honest.

    I tried to find a driver for the carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA, but I couldn't find it.

    Anyone help me, please?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

First of all I must say that there is no such thing as the P160 Satellite
Then perhaps you could post a right cell phone model.

    Secondly I recommend to follow this short statement to solve this;
-go to Device Manager and remove the ODD (optical disc) of the list of devices
-Then go to the registry and remove the
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
-then restart the device and check how it works

  • Some links in IE8 on Vista does not open

    Hi all

I am running Vista, IE8, updated with patches and other.  I have installed Firefox with Firefox and Google Chrome as default browser.  Since I built the PC, several hyperlinks (as on dealcatcher, for example) does not open properly.  When you click on it, they will open a new tab, but I get an error message that says: "Internet Explorer cannot display webpage".
I searched for a few days and tried the following hotfixes:
Re-registration of the dll through the command run (there are about 6, and half of them gives me an error when I try to run)
Making IE8 default browser (after that, the stupid thing will not open dealcatcher.com at all, although most of the other sites still work)
I don't have a problem with hyperlinks from Outlook, because I do not use it.  In fact, none of the Microsoft e-mail programs are installed at all.  I use Thunderbird for my email client.

    Any ideas?
    Thank you

  • PS CS2 does not open due to the error about the RAM...

I've been running Photoshop CS2 since it came out and never had any real problems. Then the other night, I loaded about 20 custom shape files that had about 10 forms of each of ActionFx.  I played with them for a while and it worked fine.  Then I shut my computer down that night.  The next morning, I tried to open Photoshop and got the following message "could not complete your request because there is not enough memory (RAM live).

I have tried everything I can think of to fix this, so I'm pretty desperate for help.  Finally, I resorted to uninstall the Photoshop of CS2 component.  Then I defragged and reinstalled.  When this does not work I uninstalled all CS2 including my preferences.  Defragged again and reinstalled.  All other open and working components (Illustrator, GoLive, InDesign, etc.) but Photoshop isn't always a go

Something I find really strange is that, if the error message is on the screen that I can still see all my layer styles and actions (even if I uninstalled it twice now).  Of course, as soon as I click ok on the error message everything closes and Windows says "Adobe Photoshop CS2 has stopped working.  A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly.  Windows will close the issue and notify you if a solution is available. "Of course, no solution is ever offered.

    Here is my system:

Laptop Dell running Windows Vista Ultimate

    (Vivid RAM) memory: 4 GB

    Hard drives:

C (1 real hard disk): 149 GB free: 103 GB

    D & E (1 partitioned hard disk):

    D: free 135: 40.6 GB

    E: free 13.2: 12.6 GB

    System type: 32-bit operating system

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT

Sorry for the long post.  Any help will be very appreciated!

    Not on Vista so!

When this does not work I uninstalled all CS2 including my preferences.

How did you "Uninstall" your preferences?

What you did may not be enough. Try to reset your preferences, as described in the FAQ.

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/375776?TSTART=0

You must physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if you use the Alt, Ctrl, and shift, don't forget you get a confirmation dialog box.

This resets all settings in Photoshop default.

(A complete uninstall/reinstall will not affect preferences and a corrupt file it can be the cause of the problem.)

    Hello

Drive or cable might have a problem.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    Hello

I have a Satellite L30-105 (PSL33E) with windows Vista. Windows Vista does not recognize the DVD - ram. BIOS recognize DVD-ram. I tried to download the drivers for the DVD-ram, but they are not on the side of Toshiba.

Who can help me to get the right driver or learn more? Problems with the carpet * a DVD-ram uj-850 s ATA device and windows Vista.

    Hello

The CD/DVD drive needs no special drivers!
Vista includes a Microsoft driver that works with all CURIOUS s (CD/DVD drives)

Simply said, the Vista should recognize the drive without any problems.

A few questions; did you get any error messages? What is the status of Device Manager? Do you see yellow exclamation points?

There is an old way to correct a similar drive problem. It worked on XP then try it on Vista OS.
It of necessary to update the registry entry
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    1. click on the start menu.
    2. If it is a Vista machine in the search box type regedit without quotes.
    3. look for the registry key mentioned above.
    4. in the right panel you'll see something along the lines of UpperFilter and UpperFilter you want to click on each key filter and tap on delete. Click Yes when asked to confirm if you want to delete the key.
    5. restart Windows.
6 let me know if it works.
