Vista - Error Code: 80070005 (unable to install KB936330)

FAILURE of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (KB936330)

Whenever I try an update of widows with Vista, this error pops up: Code 80070005

I go through the troubleshooting steps, but nothing helped. I turned off the coast of all anti-virus software to see, it would help, but nothing changes. I also accepted and the help of the internet, but no changes have been made.

I need to update my Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (KB936330) or greater to install Linksys AE1000 and update my monitor drivers (HP - display - HP w2408 wide LCD Monitor).

Help, please. Thank you!

-Robert :)

Hello

It is a very difficult to solve.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

Description of the system update for Windows Vista, for Windows Server 2008 analytical tool, for
Windows Server 2008 R2 Release Candidate for Windows 7 Release candidate

Those are kind of prerequisites and probably will not solve the problem.

Products of security/antivirus/antispyware are a known cause, so you can turn them off like
as the test (and that sometimes not really totally removes their influence).

    Hello

One of the reasons for the error 80070005 is caused by software running on your computer security.

Temporarily disable the security software on the computer and see if that makes a difference.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    1. What is the name of the update that you are trying to install?

This problem can occur if the manifest of components (CBS)-based services is corrupted.

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Scanner of sfc (System File Checker) to see if any system file is missing or damaged. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
    b. run the scan successfully.
    c. restart the computer so that the changes take effect and try to install the updates.

Step 2: If the problem persists, perform the upgrade on the spot
    a. see article method 3

For a 'solution offline' you can try to manually download each update to the computer you are currently using and then transfer to the portable touched with a USB key.
Then see if they install correctly. Given that we do not know all the edits concerned... open Windows Update in Control Panel, and then click View update history link to see updates try to install.
