• Vista froze during the update...

  I have Vista Home Premium on my laptop, and needed to update, which required a reboot. He started to update and froze on a black screen for about a minute... so I went to stop it manually (STUPID!). I turned it and then turn it on again, and it has continued to be updated. When placing updated, it restarted. When we turn it on again, it updated again and restarted again. Now this does not restart, updated, restart and update again. It is still ongoing. Any ideas?

  Since this problem you encounter began after that windows update, you can use the System Restore tool to return your computer to an earlier point in time.

  First boot in safe MODE without FAILURE for these tasks

  1. Restart your computer if it is running.
  2. Press the F8 key after your computer powers initially.
  3. Once you see the menu Advanced Startup Options , you can stop tapping.
  4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
  5. Select Safe Mode with network and press enter.
  6. You should see loading drivers and then Please wait.
  7. You should then be on the Welcome screen.

  Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

  The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

  Before you start Please back up your data

  To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, type System Restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

  2. in the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point, and then click on Next.

  3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

  4. click on finish.

  5. the computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  Start your PC in normal mode

  If it is a problem of update, the best way to solve this problem is to apply only updates one at a time to determine which updates is causing this problem.

  Click on start-> all programs-> Windows Update, click on change settings in the left menu. Select download updates but let me choose whether to install them, click OK. When you are alerted to install a new update, in this window, click updates see, uncheck all updates and select one at a time, install it, restart your computer, test and update. Once you find the update either continue to ignore it, or look for it at http://support.microsoft.com/.

  (1) uninstall Adobe CC (use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems)

  (2) restart machine

  Hi, my 5 E5-571 days old froze during windows update last night, left on the screen to update from one day to the next, had not changed by the morning, had to close it using the manual key, lit a few hours later, still stuck on the same screen to update, but no progress on the update.

  I recommend you to restore system using a Windows 7 DVD.

  Here's how:
  To open the Options menu system recovery using a system repair disc or a Windows 7 installation disc
  If your system is damaged and cannot access the menu system on your computer Recovery Options, you can access it using the Windows 7 installation disc or a system repair disc previously.
  To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.
  a. Insert the disc.
  b. restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
  c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
  o If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.
  d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
  e. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
  f. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.
  g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it and then choose the system restore and check.
  
   
  If we are able to boot to the desktop now, I would ask you install the updates one by one andcheck the update is at the origin of the conflict.

• Win Vista freeze during the update?

  OK, my husband try to install a Microsoft Update for Windows Vista. I'll explain what happened. He goes to open the Windows Explorer and it would not correctly shoot upward. It was just a white screen. He closed by force and tried again, but it still doesn't work. He decided to do a restart to help hopefully. When he went to restart, shut down Windows Update screen came and it says do not disconnect or turn off the computer, and it is installing update 1 of 1. It has been frozen there for the last hour.   I have a problem, I have a laptop Toshiba where AC internal adapter is broken, it has been for some time - but my buddy has also a Toshiba laptop computer, where I can just return for batteries between the two and this system has worked fine just now, the problem - I could do my Windows updates business as usual until Service Pack 2 for Vista, it will not allow the installation of the update because my laptop is on battery.  Is there a way to get around this?  I have of course no way to connect to food unless it is repaired, and at this point I just prefer to get a new laptop that money put into this one - I'm hoping somewhere someone has suggestions! :(  Help!  Thank you!

  Unfortunately, there is not another way. Your laptop must be powered by the sector during the update to avoid the laptop shut down due to lack of battery power.
