Vista Games

Hello

I have a new laptop (M300) and it doesn't have games from microsoft installed on it.

I don't know that the model of display in the store had installed games... I have Vista Home Premium - it does not come with the games?

Yes I saw that too. Games Windows is usually enabled in the Windows operating system.

Attempt to activate this feature by going to programs and features in Control Panel. Select him turn Windows features on or off in the task list. There should be a checkbox next to the games, if it is unchecked, check this and follow the instructions.

See you soon

  • Satellite x 200-21 x with the 8600gt sli - performance in Vista & Games

    Hello

    I'm new here.

    So, I installed all the drivers brand new on my Vista Ultimate, but I noticed a few problems.

    1. where can I find or install turbo 1 GB memory... I noticed that in the screen parameters are the values not displayed as they should be written on information cards and Toshiba;
    2. in the exercise and more games I notice slow, bad performance with SLI mode market, with MSI updates of Microsoft especially for sli and nvidia, as well as 2 times 8600 GT with SLI where is performance?

    I had downloaded all the drivers at Toshiba support page... and here are my results: in the image:
    Link: [http://www.moj-album.com/slika/289812/Rarvg0J6H37YPODv.jpg/#]

    I would be very happy to tell me how can I improve my performance so that the games in Sli mode will go to 1024 x 768 with medium/high details in games like (Call of Duty 4, NFS Prostreet)?

    TX;

    Can someone with a Satellite X 200 and SLI in Geforce 8600gt tell me how to improve performance on my laptop and if its normally with the sli mode, with only 256 MB ram, graphic card 1024Mo all together and dedicated 767 MB, as seen on the link to my graphic card screen;

    Because I think that the graphic representation must be better... and now I don't know what to do?

    On my Satellite X 200 - 21 X I run Vista ultimate, all the latest drivers from toshiba are supported, and I can't play games on the resolution of 1024 x 768 with medium details;
    In COD4 is my default definition 800 x 600 all the way...

    So what I expect help and answers.

    Hello

    Open Control Panel > programs and features. On the left side, click on or off Windows features turn on. In the list, select the option GAMES, and don't forget that your favorite games is too marked.

    Click OK.

  • Vista Games Explorer

    My games on vista family Explorer premium 32-bit loads up slow. I opened it and it takes between 30 seconds and one minute before its loading in. In this time the laptop appear to hang until it loads. Anyone know why or how to fix? I think it's a problem other people had by browsing the net on the forums but not yet found solutions. Once opened upward following openings tend to react quickly to the next re-boot! Although it can recur in the same session to start if I do a few things such as playing a few games and then try and revive the Games Explorer. Does not include why it is so slow to open. It is not always like that!

    I had the same problem on another computer running vista, so it seems to be common.

    Thank you very much
    Wayne

    Scottyboy99,
    If you have not tried to perform a clean boot on your system, then do it and test game explore.  If it works normally in the boot, then there is another software that is slowly down from its commissioning.

  • Windows Vista Games disappeared when I installed Windows 7

    After I clean installed Windows 7, I noticed that all my games in Windows Vista (for example, solitaire spider, chess, etc.) had disappeared. How to make a comeback? When I look in the start menu under the Games folder in the Games Explorer, there is NO games listed! Help, please!

    If you have installed the Windows 7 Professional SKU, that's why.  Make your way to:

    Beginning
    -> Control Panel
    --> Programs
    ---> Turn Windows features on or off

    And check the box of games and OK your way back to. :-) Paul Smith - MVP for Windows desktop experience... I crawled off NNTP - for now. Detachment Aldershot, United Kingdom. • Vista games does not open

    When I try to play all the pre-installed games that come with VISTA, I'm directred to one
    File Explorer who says PARTIES REGISTERED. This folder is empty. I went to the CONTROL PANEL
    and enabled GAMES, while they play. I rebooted the computer... they don't always open.
    No PARENTAL CONTROLS are enabled. Now what?

    Hello Ron. Try going to the control panel even uninstall the games and then try to reinstall the.

    Also check if you can run it from the Start Menu, rather than the Games Explorer. Paul Smith - MVP for Windows desktop experience... I crawled off NNTP - for now. • White all included Vista Games hang with card shuffle and its screen

    Hello

    Have you met the danrdest thing I've ever seen with Vista Home Premium 32 bit...

    All included Microsoft games (Solitaire... Spider Solitaire... etc... all 8 or 9 of them) can be started from their icons... But when the game starts to load, I hear a noise to shuffle the cards and the game hangs on a white screen after asking on the use of las score (in the case of spider solitaire).

    I can't for the life of me think what I did to cause this error... This is the first time I've not been able to track down other users with the same problem.  I saw the cupboards is some people including the games hang on a black screen... but mine is on a white screen with this funny shuffle-like sound card.

    Shuffle sound card (some think it's sound like a babbling-brook (stream)... that happens on all the games I've tried...

    I already tried the most basic things like uninstalling and reinstalling games... Install the Vista SP1...  No change in this weird problem...

    ANY ideas would be appreciated...  I'm proud of myself to be able to track down such things...

    It has hair I left turn more grey...

    Thanks in advance!

    SD1

    Well, I suggest you update your graphics and sound card drivers.   If this does not work, maybe DirectX must be reinstalled.  I guess that the partition table may be corrupted since it has a losing hand when he was asked about it, but I would have thought uninstalling and reinstalling would have cleared that.  I try different graphics drivers and see if it works for you.

  • error during windows vista games

    whenever I try to play a game on my laptop - windows vista - it displays an error that says: Falied to create DirectX device

    How can I solve this problem?

    Hi Aarthishetty,

    Run the DXDIAG in the start search bar. The result should tell you what the problem is. I guess that you will have to install the latest version of directX on your computer.

  • I get an error of binding of the program trying to reopen the Windows Vista Games.

    From: Brian

    When you try to open a standard game installed, IE solitaire, chess, mahjong, I get the message error "file doesn't have a program that are associated with...". "" Under turn Windows features on and outside ', I have uninstalled/reinstalled and still the same error message.  Under default programs, I don't get the options for games.  I can run the games of "all programs" and create shortcuts on the desktop and they work, however, some of my family members are struggling to do it this way. "  Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    From: Brian

    Steve - very good suggestion.  You have to change the registry.  If you are not running an improved version of Vista, under Start, search, type regedit, and go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile. Click Edit, new, string value and name IsShortcut. Name should have a red ab at the front and is of type REG_SZ.

    If this is an upgrade version, it is difficult to tell the location of the folder. Click on modify, search for, and then type in NeverShowExt and this is where the entry IsShortcut must be created.

    After installation, restart and the shortcut arrows should be back and the links in the Games folder should work.

  • Disable the feature Vista Games Explorer?

    I'll be getting a laptop soon game with Vista on it. Vista before having never consumed, I've done research on how it differs from the XP. One thing I don't really like the idea, is the Games Explorer. Is there a way to completely disable it so that Vista add and attempt to add games to him?

    Hello, over-reach.

    I don't think that there is a way to turn it off completely.  If you don't want to use it, you can remove the link in the Start Menu but by going to the properties of the taskbar and Start Menu, and then by customizing the Start Menu.

  • Vista Games work on Windows 7?

    I have a lot of games and most of them are for XP and Vista. These games work on Windows 7?

    Most of the games work in Windows 7 (they make for me in any case), you also comptibility mode if they do not work exactly right. I saw a few posts about games that don't work, but they were for the most part, OLD games, or video driver problems.

  • Questions about running the XP on Vista Games

    I've been curious about using older games of XP on Vista and have not been able to find clear answers to this topic with my own research on the internet.  I'm a Fan of First Person Shooter, and they are scarce since Vista came out.  So I would like to add a few shooters of Vista I have with some of the older games, but I have questions to do.

    My questions are:

    1. If I have an old XP game that is listed as not compatible with Vista can still use it if I play it in compatibility mode for XP SP2? (The game's FEAR)

    2. This will mess up my system Vista SP1?

    3. If I install 2 or 3 of these old games XP on my Vista SP1 pc and run in XP SP2 compatibility mode microsoft at some point let me no update Vista again?

    4. should I patch older XP games so I don't want?  I just want to play on solo not online.

    (The games are FEAR, DOOM3, QUAKE4 and PREY). Everything for one player only.

    I had these issues since I got Vista.  I couldn't really find that responses indicated clearly by someone I thought I knew what they were talking about so I hope that I can help.

    Thank you
    Jebidia

    Hello Jebidia,

    Thank you for posting.  You have very valid questions and I have some answers.  I currently play FEAR (tested prey in the past) on my Vista Ultimate 64-bit without problems no matter what.  I'd say you do a regular install of the games and they should work fine.  Now if you have some problems, and then reinstall the game in compatibility mode.  As for your other questions, you should have no worries about the game, do not let you Vista update.  Patch games can sometimes resolve known problems that the games themselves are with compatiblities hardware Vista and possible.  You can search for Tweakguides to find a site very useful for players.

    So go and FPS in your heart happy my friend. Zack
