Vista keeps hooked randomly

Hello, I use Vista for 2 years and it has been quite a good experience. But recently these last months the computer maintains suspended, with the mouse cursor, being unable to move. They occur randomly sometimes it hangs while loading the main screen while other times it crashes when using to halfway. Usually we will just manually force the computer to shut down and then turn it back on, however sometimes suspended just repeats. Hang the problem seems to be worsening = now)

We tried to analyze the computer using anti-virus software, analysis mode FAILURE but nothing has been found every time. There was once when the stand-alone computer is analyzed for a long time, due to a bad closing down previously, and the system "decided that it will be safer restore the computer system of a few days in time, when he thought it was safe. I don't know if you understand what I mean, but all programs that have been installed in the dangerous period has been all deleted, something like go back in history?

I watched the similar thread and technical support engineers have asked to look at the computer manager event log and the Manager of devices for more information. I don't know if that's what you're looking for, but I found no error in the Device Manager, but a surprising amount of "reviews & error" in the event log. " I'm pasting some of the log of today down only. I don't know if it's something to do with Vista, but I hope you can help me solve the problem.

Thank you.

Hello tudexy,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Are you currently with all Windows updates?  It seems that your computer has performed a system restore as you said, "at some point before the problem" can lose any changes that you made to your computer.  Do you receive error messages when your computer starts successfully after that it crashes?  Please let us know status.  Thank you!

Windows updates help protect the security and reliability of your computer. If you wish, you can set Windows to automatically install recommended both updates that you specify, or you can manually check for updates.

To run Windows Update manually and look for the updates and new drivers when you use the start menu in Vista, follow these steps:

  1. Click Startand then click Control Panel. Or point to settingsand then click Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, double-click Windows Update. Or click system and Maintenance, and then click Windows Update.
  3. If the window that opens shows Windows is up-to-date, go to the section check and install the drivers from the manufacturer of your computer up to date . Or, if Windows finds updates, click install.

For more information about Windows updates, see the following help and how-to topic:

  • Satellite L450D keeps freezing randomly

    Hello

I recently bought a L450D refurbished: Win 7 64 bit, 4 GB ram, 2.1 Ghz AMD dual core, it works much faster than my Toshiba 1 year anyway.

The problem is, it keeps freezing randomly. When this happens the screen looks like the picture in the link, mouse and keyboard are completely insensitive, but I left it and the battery is flat it beep?

So far I've only updated windows, it is the partition of Toshiba hard disk but f8 during the startup does not seem to do anything and when I tried to write the recovery disc it burned but said unable to end of file during the verification step.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

  • Vista keeps freezing on after 20 minutes

Vista keeps freezing on after 20 minutes, or after the use of the internet, firefox or google chrome. What are some of the best tools to prevent this?

    Hi infliktuss,

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) you get an error message?

There could be several causes for this problem and there is no native tools for this problem however, you can follow the steps mentioned below to fix this problem:

Method 1: Disable the security software and check to see if the problem persists; Follow the steps mentioned in the link below

    Disable antivirus software

Important: Activate security software once everything is done.

Method 2: Run the fixit available in the links below and check if that makes a difference

Solve Internet Explorer add-on problems when IE hangs or freezes

Difficulty of Windows system performance slow computer problems

Method 3: The computer in the boot and a test to see if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

Method 4: check the logs in Event Viewer for more information on this problem

    Open event viewer

  • Vista keeps close unexpectedly.

original title: Vista keeps stop unexpectedly. Have reinstalled Vista, checked for viruses and malware/spyware and reinstall the memory, still no luck.

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

Ideas: have reinstalled Vista, checked for virus and malware/spyware and reinstall the memory, still no luck

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

If you reinstalled Vista, chances are good, that it is not a software but a hardware problem.  It could be overheating (any part of the computer is too hot to the touch for a long time) caused by the fan doesn't work does not correctly or clogged inlet and/or exhaust - you should check it and clean if it's a problem with a can air or possibly replacement fan or power set.  It could be also problems with the hard drive, motherboard, processor (too much, it can overheat and they sell small fans for them which can sometimes fix this), perhaps, but probably not RAM or even another device that causes some type of conflict - perhaps even something as simple as a bad connection tight so check connections to make sure that they are all well know a lot about.  The following can help you diagnose a hardware problem:http://elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot.  If you have spare parts that work from another computer trying to Exchange out them to see if you can identify the source of the problem (but be sure to check that they are compatible and that you install the appropriate drivers for them - otherwise you may cause more damage that may already exist).

If this does not help or if this level of troubleshooting is out of your reach (these skills require experience, education, or not many people are trained and you do not want to cause any damage by guessing or trying things where you don't know what you're doing), then I recommend you take the system at a reputable computer repair workshop (NO Geek Squad or anywhere like that but one true professional) or return it to the manufacturer for repair, repair or replacement.  Compare costs, guarantees, reputations, parts availability, timing, effort required on your part, and any other factor consider you important and make your choice.  I recommend a full backup before sending or bringing as there is a good chance the drive will be wiped clean during their troubleshooting process.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Vista 64 just keeps freezing randomly

I bought a new laptop and it came with pre installed Vista Home premium 64-bit with SP1. The information system is the chipset Intel GM45, integrated graphics, 4 GB of RAM and 320 hard drive.

The system hangs at random without error regardless of what I show. I have to do a hard reboot. The system event viewer under computer at the time of the event management has warnings and reads like

"Windows Servicing identified that package KB958483 (Update)" shall not apply to this system ".

and some following effects it reads as

"Windows Servicing started a package KB958483 (Update) State of Resolved (Resolved) change process Staged (Staged)"

Is that something really has to do with the problem I am facing freezing and if so what is the solution for the same?

  • Windows Vista keeps restarting while OS or start charging.

My laptop restarts randomly the other day and since then I can't past the windows splash screen until the computer restarts again and again and again... Ive tried the mode without failure as last successful startup and I get the same result. Windows now screen "windows error recovery" gives me an option to start the system restart or start windows normally. If I select Restart the laptop takes forever, like 2 + hrs, to "solve" the problem then restarts and back to the drawing board. If I choose start normally it restarts just like usual when loading the os. I don't have a boot disk. It's windows vista. the day before, it happened that I was loggin in facebook when my anti virus blocked incoming Trojan. I rescan the computer 2 more times to ensure that no more threats have been detected and anti virus said it was clean. My first thought was that it might be a virus. I discovered that it was for all of you who have this same problem. The hard drive is a failure. I took the hard drive from my laptop which is having the issue and hooked it up to my desktop computer as a secondary drive. Immediately my office told me that the drive has been a failure and to save the data. After that I saved and saved my important has not filed more than an hour later the drive stops responding. So for those of you who have this problem, I would find a way to connect the hard drive to another computer as a secondary drive or slave and see if you get the same warning I did.save that you have important files before the death of the road. hope this has been helpful.

    Hello

I guess that part of the question could be a driver which is really old or similar should not be loaded.

This exit Windows updates on (after you have access) and stop the updates of the driver to load.
