Hello!
Does anyone have information about vista sp1 support?
I've got portable Satellite P200D - 11 L
Is it safe to use Vista SP1?
I use search driver under SP1 [LINK to driver | http://ru.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/vista_drivers.jsp?macId=&mode=userMachines&userOS= & action = search & selProduct = 760 & selOS = 26 & selType = all & country = 30 & language = 34 & search =]

but supports Windows Vista 32 bit only.

Thanks in advance

As much as I know load SP1 is not started, but it should happen soon.

Have you installed or included the SATA driver?

The new laptops are equipped with a SATA controller and this is why you would need to include the SATA drivers that would recognize the HARD drive correctly and would help to insatall the Windows operating system!

  • How to switch from Windows Vista to Xp on a Satellite P200?

    Hello!

I would like to know if it is possible to install Windows XP on a computer that initially comes with Vista? Someone told me that some drivers need to be installed first, but I just can't find the right information.

    Thank you

    Corinne

Well, you're right. You need install Intel Matrix Storage manager first before you continue the installation of XP.
During the installation of XP Setup will be asked by pressing the F6 key to include drivers 3.
You will use this option to install Intel Matrix Storage manager external USB FDD or you will create the XP CD again using the nLite software.

However, all the drivers are available on the European driver Toshiba page. Then choose the good series notebook and check compatible drivers!

    > I ve found a problem with driver controller when I ve started with installing windows xp...

I put t know what problem you found but I'm sure that this is not a real problem but simply unknown user ;)

I think that you need to install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager if you want to install an operating system.
During the XP installation process, you will need to press F6 to install this external USB FDD iMSM.

If you don t have the external floppy drive, you can include the iMSM using software called nLite, it s free and beautiful ;)

  • Re: Satellite P200-PsPB3C-BB808C cannot locate * multimedia controller *.

I just upgraded laptop Toshiba on Win 7 neighbors following a bad fall of Vista.
    It's a Satellite P200-BB808C.
When I started there are two missing drivers, mass storage controller, and a multimedia controller. I did a clean install, starting with formatting the drive.
Windows 7 loaded a - OK and all Toshiba drivers have been installed in a recommended sequence. I was able to locate the driver for the storage controller mass but still couldn't find anything for the multimedia controller.
I've been alternating between the site of Canada and the United States with no luck.
I have also spent a lot of time googling variations of the same question, trying to find some information on this driver. It seems that a lot of people have the same problem.
So far, the system works fine without glitches or hang-ups.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hello

To be honest, I don't know about driver multimedia controller you need.
can post you the code of the provider and I can find the driver? To find:

    1. go into Device Manager, click on multimedia controller and then go into property and then go into the details. You will see a code like for example PCI/VEN_8086 & DEV_27D8 & SUBSYS...

  • Network drivers required for Satellite P200 13z PSPB0 Win XP wireless

    Hi guys,.

There was vista home installed on Toshiba satellite P200-13z (PSPB0). I made mistake by installing vista first hard disk half and then installed xp pro on the rest of the hard drive. Now my phone won't show me dual boot menu

On my C - Vista drive

On my drive D - XP

When I start my laptop, it just goes straight path to XP, so I'm not able to choose vista on my laptop even, it's there.

XP took the other driver except them Chicony usb 2.0 cam, PCI Device, video controller and the network driver

I looked on the download site of Toshiba and only able to find Realtek RTL8139/810 x player Lan, which I installed it, but still, my wireless network does not.

Now I don't know what network driver I required to connect to internet through wireless (Wi - Fi) for my XP operating system

ADV me please this as other drivers I need to download and the place where, so I can connect to internet with wifi.

    .

    > When I start my laptop, it just goes straight path to XP, so I'm not able to choose vista on my laptop even, it's there.

I had the same problem after installing Win XP on my laptop.
The fact is that Win XP destroyed the Vista Boot Manager and so you can not choose the Vista operating system.
But you can fix it using the MS Vista disc (not recovery disc). Simply start the Vista disc and choose the repair option.
    This will solve this problem.

But after that you will not be able to start Win XP.
The solution; go to Vista, install freetool called EasyBCD and include the Win XP operating system and partition for the Vista Boot Manager.
    That helped to me.

    Regarding the WiFi network:
The laptop uses the ATHEROS 802. 11B / G WLan card.

  • Bluetooth lost after updating Vista SP1 on Satellite P200

    Hello

    I'm desperate...

I use a mini Logitech dinovo keyboard like a keyboard for my P200. It connects via Bluetooth. My Bluetooth connection is a Bluetooth USB device provided with the keyboard. Until yesterday, everything worked fine, but then I installed the Vista SP1 and I lost the bluetooth connection. The computer does not recognize the device Bluetooth USB and bluetooth Control Panel contral disappeared.

I have one installed SP1, it does not solve
I have restore before SP1, it does not solve
Nations United installed the software of Logitech and re install, it doesn't work.

I downloaded and installed the driver from the BT monitor and it does not change anaything. I installed the drivers of BT stack, but it doesn't

    Please can someone help me?

    Much appreciated,

    WR

In such situations, there are two sides. It will be interesting to know if there is a problem if you try to connect another BT device to your laptop. Try it with your mobile phone if BT is available.
I can't imagine the BT device doesn't properly work.

Have you tried to contact Logitech technical support? Maybe they have the solution to this.

All you have done is OK, but I can imagine that that SP1 of Vista SP3 in Windows XP Home edition can perform or certain disorders.

Please check other BT device functionality and display the results.

  • Satellite x 200 SLi: I lost sound after Vista SP1 installation

    Hello
    I have a Toshiba Satellite x 200 SLi

After I installed the SP1 of Vista, I just lost sound and even update the audio drivers... I still have several problems such as: sometimes the sound stops, errors, try to display movies... etc...

Vista tells me that I have Norman for update my drivers but I already have the last avaiable driver on TOSHIBA page.

    Anyone with the same problem?
No idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

The problem is that Microsoft's Vista SP1 makes trouble. The problem is that not all drivers are compatible and fully supported by SP1.

I think you have a Realtek audio chip. Perhaps have you check the site Web of Realtek s the latest HD audio driver

If this doesn't help, then you will have to wait until the new update is available (or you will remove him SP1)

  • Satellite P200: Screensaver does not start on Vista Home Premium

    Hi people!

I tried to apply the option on my laptop screen saver (Satellite P200), equipped with Vista Home Premium, but it does not; the laptop everything continues to run after the game of elapsed time. Is this a known problem with Vista? All suggestions received with gratitude, thank you!

    Hello

Can I ask you if you use the Microsoft wireless mouse?
I discovered that this may affect the functionality of the screensaver on Vista OS.

    Strange!

  • Satellite P200 - 14 H - problem with the software after reinstalling Vista whindows

I have a Satellite P200 - 14 H, who bought systems Activ of Romania. I got a Toshiba DVD with an image pre-configured Windows and my driver's license windows vista Home premium. After several blue screens windows crashed after 5 days. It was a software problem. I am a network administrator and I need several virtual machines Linux vmware server Windows.

The DVD provided with the laptop is not really suited to my needs to reinstall windows because it throws my entire hard drive and is not an option. I took a friend a DVD windows vista Home premium and using my key from the sticker on the back of my laptop I reinstalled win without deleting all of the hard drive but only the partition c. I downloaded all the drivers of your site even if I found them really hard (model PSPB6E because that model PSPB6E I don't find it anywhere) everything is good except that "Flash Cards Support Utility" and «» Hardware Setup' give me the following error: "serial number is invalid '. I don't know what to do to be able to use the function keys I knew which are installed by 'Flash Cards Support utility'.

If it is not good that I did give me another solution that does not need to wipe entire HARD drive, but only the C drive and use the DVD that you have provided or give me access to some place to be able to download all the drivers and software that can be found on the original DVD (those above and to burn DVD and Norton internet security center and so on)

Thank you very much and please be so kind to give me a solution quickly because I really need this computer and I am unable to use it.

    Hi Adrian

    I'll try to clarify a few things;
First the drivers for Satellite P200 - 14 H PSPB6E series are placed on the page of Toshiba Europe and it of really not difficult to find.
Secondly the Vista serial key, which is located on the bottom of the unit cannot be used with another copy of Vista OS! This will not work!

You have installed the operating system Vista from the CD to friends, but you used a serial key that does not match with the Vista on CD to friends! As a result, you get the message error "serial number is invalid!"
The utility of Flash cards is required to use the keys FN under Win Vista. It visually shows the use of the FN button.

I would recommend another way of installation
First, you must use the DCD from Toshiba recovery. Back up your data first!
Then after installing the OS, create a new partition and install your favorite OS (Linux, XP, etc.)

If you n t to use the Toshiba recovery but CD the original Microsoft CD Vista then you need to use the original series OS key that belongs to the MS Vista CD.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P200-10O: can't send emails using Windows Vista Mail

    If anyone can help.

I have a Satellite P200-10O, with Vista installed. In Win Mail I have configured my email as usual accounts.

When i open Win Mail I can click on send and receive and he's looking for new messages, this can be repeated as often as you like. However, when I create a new message and click send it to stop working. The message is placed in the Outbox, if I open the Outbox and click on send, nothing happens, after awhile of trying every thing is blocked. If I then close the program and re open it will send the message but then sometimes send it and receive does not until you close and re open. Also message counters do not update.

I tried everything I can think of, Vista, ISP, Toshiba forum. So far, no joy even if I'll get back in touch with Toshiba again. Message is configured to send immediately.

No virus or firewall is used.

    See you soon

    Hi guys

I think you should take a look at this Forum topic:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=27336

It is not a beautiful link to FAQ from Toshiba on the question paper + the will of Windows Mail Send or Receive emails.

In addition, you should take a look at the support site for Microsoft Mail.

    Good luck

  • Downgrading from Vista to Windows XP Home in Satellite P200-16 b

    Hi people!

I wonder if someone has already tried to downgrade from Windows Vista to Windows XP. I have a Satellite P200-16 b.
I was check in the support Web site and I found most of the pilots it but I think not all.

    Please post your comments here.
    Thank you
    E

    Hello

I used the search option and found many threads on the downgrade from Vista to XP on Satellite P200 PSPB0E

All Toshiba drivers are published on the European driver Toshiba page.
Of course, you won't find additional software and programs like WinDVD, etc. insofar as these software are only a part of the Toshiba recovery image and as I guess are not to free them.

An important note; you need to install XP drivers as mentioned in the installation instructions txt file. This doc is also found on the Toshiba driver page!

Then you should not get any trouble of installation.

Best regards and happy new year 2008 :D

  • Satellite P200: Vista does not have a bakup

    Hello

From time to time my Satellite P200 will not make a backup. It gives an error message after almoust 10 seconds.
But when I'm not really using my laptop, it seems that it takes an automatic backup.

To be sure, I'd like to reuse Thrue image with a Sata HD

    Anyone with experience with this?

    Thank you

    Luke

    Hello

I don t use the True image software and so I can't provide any solution 100% for you problem
But I ve goggled a bit and it looks like a new patch and update is available for Vista support eventually it s a software bug and so the image creation doesn't always work.

PS; I use the ghost and this software is really a good solution if you want to create clean images.

  • I can take it off my laptop Satellite P200 Vista - 1 g 8?

    Hi guys,.

Spent time looking on the internet for this but had no chance. Title says it all really. I have a copy of XP ready but am not sure it is a good idea to remove vista as I did recently on a Packard Bell pc (I know I know it's a completely different product) and she went terribly wrong as the XP installation program cannot read disks sata/searched and as I have no disk to add RAID drivers as well as the PC is in limbo as I refuse to Vista back on it.

Then... Wouldn't be ok? And if so I am able to get the drivers and software for all the 'gubbins' he's come up with, with vista.

Any help would be graciously received.

Thanks in advance if you want to help me, and if you do not have... Well I hope you can sleep at night ;)
