Vista SP2 after installing Spooler SubSystem App stopped working and was closed

After installing Vista SP 1 and 2 my printers no longer work. the message that I get when the computer is

"Spooler SubSystem App stopped working and was closed. A problem with the application to stop functioning properly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.

When I try to print it says I have to install a printer but then says turn the spooler.
After turning on the spooler spooler turns his back on the coast.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall printers, but it won't let me install printers.
If I restore to previous date before installing SP1 and 2 printers work.

Online, I see that many people have the same problem.
I tried to contact Microsft but they tell me to contact HP
and when I contact HP they tell me to contact Microsoft, as it was their problem
I'm agree that Microsoft SP1 and 2 caused this problem.

Let's start by downloading the latest drivers and software from HP and see if that helps.

When you install the drivers, it is important to perform the following actions:

1. remove the printer from the PC.

2 uninstall the printer from the PC driver.

3 reinstall the printer driver.

4 reinstall the printer.

  • Spooler Subsystem App stopped working and was closed. Only for pdf files?

    I tried the system restore, delete the registry files, and then reinstall, the utility hp diagnostic tool and solution of chan, but none have worked. It seems to print ordinary web pages fine, but I get this error when I try to print a pdf file, if its open in firefox or adobe reader. Kind of become crazy here >: O

    The answers would be greatly appreciated.

    The printer is a HP Laserjet 1018.
    Running vista Home premium 32-bit.

    EDIT: A single specific pdf seems to hang there, other pdfs seem to print correctly.

    Are you able to print this PDF from another computer?

    Try the following steps.

    1. click on start > Control Panel > programs and features in Control Panel.

    2. click on Turn Windows features on or off.

    2. click on + sign of printing services

    3. Select LPD and LPR. You must remove the Internet printing Client. > restart your PC to ensure there is no error in the spooler service.
    4. Add once again your printer driver.

    1. have you done any change in software on the computer lately?

    Please check if you face the same problem when recording in safe mode. It is a possibility that one of the non-Microsoft application or driver is causing this issue. Start in safe mode and make sure that us. If you are able to start properly in safe mode, we can perform a clean boot in order to find the root cause.

    Step A.
    a. restart your computer.
    b. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows 7 Advanced Startup Options.
    c. using the arrow keys, select the desired option of Mode without failure.
    d. press the Enter key on your keyboard to start in safe mode of Windows 7 with networking.
    e. when Windows starts, you will be at a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Windows 7 goes into safe mode.
    f. do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

    I have a HP that I loaded Busenss Vista suite of crush drive with XP Pro. Use HP Vista recovery disks supplied with the computer. Last week the user is said to have received the error "spooler subsystem app stopped working. the spooler stops and I would need to manually restart it. I put the properties to resrt after 1 minute. A bad solution as the best. User if dosen't care she will be restrat if its offline when it is needed. I have treid several tips on the internet without success.

    I recently knew of theses errors that appear after windows vista starts, then a few minutes my computer laptop hungs up on top of me. I run the sfc/scannow, and I got some corrupted files. What should I do next?

    The question is not persistent in step 1 starting in safe mode

    In step 2, I stopped and unchecked below normal start-up services and I see error "Desktop has stopped working" but still get the "Spooler subsystem app stopped working." Is there a way to fix this?

    I try to print from a computer Win7 computer with shared Vista HP F4280.

    Error on Vista "spooler subsystem app stopped working, computer or restart the service.
    Have executed 'FixIt' Center, reinstalled the drivers, check the updates etc.
    Nothing has worked so far, tried both wireless and wired connections.
    Printer works very well is directly connected to a machine.
    Remote scanner works well.

    The suggested "fix" did not work in this case.

    Finally, I deleted everything and nothing to do with of the HP F4280. Started, re - install a stand-alone printer on each PC and tests.
    Then I shared the printer on the Vista PC, on the Win7 PC I used the shortcut of 'Network' to display the PC, double click on the VistaPC to view his actions, clicked on the printer and everything was done.

    First issue: Windows Explorer has stopped working

    This problem occurs if you have version 5.1.5.0 of the StompSoft by Migo Digital Vault program installed. Or, you have an earlier version of this program is installed.

    This problem can also occur if you have a third-party program such as Reno or Spydawn installed.
