After restoring my system to Windows Vista, my screen resolution is incorrect.
Screwed up resolution :(
I had to restore my computer to Windows vista after putting 7 window on it... now my screen resolution is turned off, it is the top of the screen to the bottom, but has 2 black bars on the sides... Ive already tried to settle the reso to max, but this isn't the problem. HelpApparently, that's what to do, another great problem, I can't get my internet to work at all, it says there is no network, I can't spend all the discovery network on or anything, and I have NO idea where the original disc is provided with the computer :( Hating technology now
You have a computer that works (obviously). You probably have a USB stick/thumb drive/CD or DVD, you can use and a way to write, huh? Something like that?
Get what you need to the manufacturer of the computer support and the web page of the driver of your make & model of computer (that you try to fix) while on this computer to work and put these files on the mentioned media. That put media into the computer you try to set and use the programs installation either him or copy them to the desktop of the computer in question and install from there.

Tecra M9: After Vista standy, screen resolution changes automatically
Hello
I use a Tecra M9 with Vista SP 1. The current display to the nVidia Quadro VNS 130 M graphics card driver is 7.15.11.126
My native resolution is 1440 x 900, 32-bit color. (the resolution of the screen)
Sometimes, when the computer comes out of standby, the resolution changes after the sequence to connect to 1280 x 800 and stays that way. I have to manually change back to 1440 x 900. This isn't always happens, but say all of 1 times 2 the computer wakes from sleep. What is a (faulty) driver problem?
Kind regards

Perhaps this problem could be related to the graphics driver.

I am not able to adjust the resolution of my screen with Vista Ultimate. If it's in 16 bits, the graphics are excellent, but the sizing of everything is huge. There is a slide bar, but I am unable to move it. It is in the lowest position, and he said get it up for sizing, but it won't let me. If I use anything other than 16 bits, I can get my sizing down, but my graphics are bad. Any ideas?
Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.
Once you have the latest graphic drivers, then change it.
If there is no avauilable of graphics drivers for Vista, you're out of luck.

Change the screen resolution
Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

How to manually set my screen resolution
My OS is Windows Vista Business
My graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 3650.
As far as I can see, they are incompatible.
I'm really fed up after more than two years of distorted on my screen content. This is best illustrated by photosthe viewable area of the screen is 17 inches x 10.5 inches. It is a ratio, as close as d * 5:3.
CatCC ATI had before 1280 x 960 or 4:3 and, of course, I looked fat in my pix (no comments please!)
So I put it 5:3. It is why photos should now be good... but now I look emaciated, like something from "Roswell".
Why?
It seems that I need something like 1280 x 800, but no such resolution is offered.CatCC ATI offers resolutions of only...
report 4:3 - i.e. 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1152 x 864, 1280 x 960, 1380 x 1050
ratio of 5:3 - 1.e. 1280 x 768, 1380 x 1050.
ratio 5:4-1280 x 1024On Windows XP, it has been possible to set the resolution manually. Now I can no longer do.
Is this a result of narrow programming Vista OS, resulting in limited options?
Or Dell just gave me the bad graphics card?
As it is, I can't have nothing to realistic appearance on the screen. This is ridiculous in our technical age.Is there a way to get around this?
Or am I finally stuck with a square that will always look like a rectangle, regardless of the resolution, I have chosen?concerning the will
Hello
If you upgraded from XP to Vista or you bought Vista preinstalled, you check with Dell to see if there are Vista compatible drivers.
Dell provides drivers and Dell does not include material on buy operating systems pre-installed on their computers or cell phones, if it's not compatible...
If the graphics card is pre-installed as part of your Dell with Vista preinstalled OS, go to the Dell site and download the last Grapghics / video / Chipset for your computer model and operating system drivers.

Or look at the AMD (they own ATI) website.
