    I remove the hard drive and attach it to your desktop and use the host operating system to run a check disk on your drive.  The laptop goes hard disk looking for instructions to start and he does not see the correct code.  This is probably due to a damaged boot sector.  Another idea is that your bios has changed and you have changed the SATA from AHCI to IDE type somehow or vice versa. You also left a non bootable disk in the DVD/CD drive.  Remove all disks from your DVD.

  • Vista starts with black screen

    I have windows vista, my computer turns black when starting, then after about 10 min works fine, how can I solve this problem?

    Hi Cruzo,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

    You can check the following items and check if the problem occurs in safe mode with network.

    Start your computer in safe mode

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    Step 2:

    If you do not experience the problem in safe mode with networking, you can perform a clean boot and check.

    A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

    You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    After the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the boot link to put the computer to normal startup mode.

    Method 2:

    You can also visit the computer manufacturer and install the latest version of the drivers for the graphics card and other devices and check to see if it helps.

    Update drivers: recommended links

    Check Event Viewer for detailed information on the problem.

    Open event viewer
    What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)?

  • Windows Vista starts with a black screen with the mouse cursor

    Hello

    I bought a new Toshiba laptop with OS Windows Vista from Best Buy. At time of purchse that Best Buy does not give me the Vista OS software, they said that the operating system is already installed in the laptop.

    Now, after a year, I have problems with the laptop. The Vista starts with a black screen with a mouse cursor. Before writing this issue, I searched some tips to solve the problem as

    (1) by pressing F8 while the computer is on and select it the option "last good known Configuration (Advanced) option." but it didn't work.

    (2) by pressing F8 when the computer is turned on, then turn on the option 'System repair Option', it did not work.

    (3) by pressing F8 when the computer is turned on, and then select the option "" safe mode / Normal mode option "Unfortunately she also did not work."

    Could you get it someone please let me know how I can solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance

    If Safe Mode does not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a startup repair, etc.:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
    There is no Vista free download legal available.
    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Also ask them if it is possible to make the recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, when you're up a new drunning.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  • Qosmio F50-125 starts with black screen after a BIOS update

    Hello

    After instalation if new bios (v 2.0), computer sometimes starts with black screen.
    Even the first page that show press F2 to enter the bios is not displayed.

    You have someone older version of bios?
    So, I might try if it's the fault of it.

    Hello

    I think that the old BIOS will not help you because the laptop would have known that you try to update the BIOS to the older version, and it would break to the top of the procedure.
    In addition, the older BIOS is not available on the European driver Toshiba page.
    I think just only a Toshiba ASP had an older version of BIOS.

    Anyway, you said that sometimes happens.
    This means that this issue doesn't still persist
    Hmm. in this case, I recommend the default BIOS settings and update the driver display.

    Someone has ideas on what setting could be the cause.  I have looked in the trunk of the BIOS but can't find anything.  Also can't find anything obvious in settings PC Win

    Hi Richard,

    I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

    1. You have installed the latest drivers for Windows 8?
    2. What is the model number for Toshiba Satellite laptop?

    If you get a black screen after upgrade to Windows 8, it might be due to an outdated or incompatible graphics card driver. Update to the latest version of the display driver should fix this.

    Try to remove all external devices connected to the computer and then try to start the computer and check if it works. Follow these methods and check if that helps:

    Method 1: To resolve this problem, update the site Web of Toshiba video card driver.

  • Different reconfig / blue vstor2 with resulting error screen

    Hi, I know that this problem has been described a thousand times, but I can't seem to find a solution that corresponds to my characteristics.

    The converter seems to end but with the error: "create von '\\.\vstor2-mntapi10-shared-00000010000010000000000009000000\$Reconfig$' non possible."

    Alle the VM files seem to be there, and the virtual machine is able to start Playin ' but then brings a blue screen.

    Source:

    -Windows 7 32 bit

    -Hot clone on the physical machine on external hard drive

    VM Player computer:

    What I tried:

    (- a) without modification of links out of status and b) disable most services during clone

    -reconfigure VMX after cloning

    -disable the 3 network drivers in the drive before you start

    -clone with original partition sizes and with narrowed partitions (minimum setting)

    Also, I think that the converter version 5 is not a progress bar where you can read 99%, for example?

    Enclosed please find my logs since cloning + blue screen I receive.

  • If I copy the folder "LCD", Tomcat will start with socket errors

    In the documentation , it is said that when you create a new application server side, you can start by copy folder "webapps/lcds. I did, but then, Tomcat starts with a few socket errors:

    [LCD] SocketServer 'my-rtmp-SocketServer' could not validate settings desired for BindSocketAddress socket: 0.0.0.0:2038

    java.net.SocketException: unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 0: JVM_Bind

    flex.messaging.LocalizedException: SocketServer 'my-rtmp-SocketServer' cannot bind to accept client connections on port '2038' because another process has already bound to the port. Please ensure that several points of endpoint applications are not configured to use this same port.

    I'm doing something wrong?

    Thank you

    Borek

    What is happening is that you have found a port conflict for the based on the socket NIO and RTMP endpoint points used in the channel definitions in services-config file. XML of your new web application. The problem is that you have end points related to the port in the network of LCD screens and your new web application.

    You can deal with it in two ways:

    Option 1: In the file services - config.xml, look for "RTMP" and "IAN" to find the definitions of strings and to change the port numbers for something slightly different from those used in the LCDs web app.

    2 options: Move the LCDS web application out of the image so it does not get loaded and just use a template for the future web apps. If you do not use it for all your development, there is really no reason that you must load.

    I'll add a note about this to the documentation which speaks of the LCDS web application using as a model.
