Vista stuck on stop for more than 24 hours

Hello friends, I need help. I have windows vista professional, 2 GB of RAM, processor intel core 2 duo T7100. It was working fine until this morning I pushed the button install updates and shut down. I haven't had is long enough, so there are 15 updates. But still, I expected that it will take a little lonnger and install it and restart it. Then I pulled out of the House and came back after 5-6 hours, the display shows closing. Then, after 24 hours, show same thing. What should I do without a system Crash?

I wouldn't be a big deal, if you're not the other problems as well.  You were probably a few glitch software internal minor who hung your PC.

Make a stop forced down with the power button, wait a few seconds... say 20 or 30 and start the PC.
Several tasks of Windows you know and writing data inactive and the code in the page file (swap file) that the forced closed will have 'frozen' in the swap file.  Make cleaning up hereby: http://www.ehow.com/how_5544411_clean-up-windows-swap-file.html
Restart and try windows update again.  The updates that failed or were not completed will be available for installation.
