My roommates son asked me to help him to be on the internet, which I did, ran unusually slow in doing so, I noticed it when I checked, I found that the notebook had three solutions of different software protection, antivirus, Norton, McAffrey and AVG 2011 version for free. Also I noticed he had some solutions that provided a diagnosis, list of problems found and wanted to pay for the product before they would allow acccess to the fix. I uninstalled Norton and the McAffrey and improved the AVG free version of 2012. I also uninstalled the pesky diagnosis/buy me for the correction and the ask.com toolbar software. I installed ccleaner from piriform as well. The laptop seems to run a little faster, but the next morning he projected blue and when I tried to start it in safe mode it not loaded so far and then frozen, always in the same spot something AVGi and then it crashes, it will not load the rest of the necessary drivers. I tried to boot to the last known good as well. I even tried to downgrade to Windows xp home edition sp3 and when I do it it says there is no hard drive detected, and do I have to make sure that it works correctly.  I am at a loss, my sons friends bought the laptop (Acer Aspire 5315) for $50.00 and did not get a recovery disk so that the option does not exist or the other. What can I do to solve this problem. I'm sure that for some reason, it has to do with the BIOS and I went to the Acer site (from my laptop) and downloaded something to repair the bios on a flash drive, but me is not good because I can not start on either flash player. I am at a loss here and have no idea how to solve this problem. I am practically self-taught and I am a beginner when it comes to repairing the problems. This one is right behind me, someone has an idea what is my problem?

I even tried to downgrade to Windows xp home edition sp3 and when I do it it says there is no hard drive detected, and do I have to make sure that it works correctly.

If you tried to install Windows XP, and it says that? Do you have any installation CD? I don't want to say this, but maybe the hard drive went kaput. Maybe a little rare, but it can happen and so he bought the laptop for $50, which I am sure he did not a store. You hear a clicking sound from the hard drive? Have you checked for the hard drive in the BIOS?

  • Satellite L300 will not start even in safe mode

    Hello.

Whenever I turn on my laptop, it shows me two options: start windows normally or perform a system repair.
I tried both of these options, but I can't seem to access the page where I have to enter my password to access my desktop, I tried a number of things by pressing F8 during startup, including startup repair up to and restore to the previous point, but nothing happened.

I have the vista operating system and it seems to freeze immediately after loading (the long rectangular bar with the Green thing from left to right, saying Microsoft Corp. below). It freezes... the page is all black and my cursor is there, I can move the cursor, but nothing is there to click on. HDD/ODD lights do not Flash indicating that the laptop is not all 'work '.

In addition, it took me to a page where he was "collection of data for the crashdump"... don't know what this means but yes and it also took me to a page where it says 'one of your disks should be checked for consistency. He also posted a message saying that the registry file failure does not load. Systemreboot/System32/config/system

I start it in safe mode and it shows a bunch of files and says please wait.
After my computer goes on a blank page (all black) but I can see and move my cursor and it is bigger than usual so I guess he's about to go to safe mode, but just, he remains on the screen and does nothing else.
He was about 35 minutes and it's still at this screen, that nothing has changed.

    Thanks for your help :)

    Hello

Try to recover the device by using the drive HARD recovery option.
I hope you didn t change anything on the HARD drive recovery partition.
HARD drive recovery allows you to reinstall the operating system without the use of all disks!

Turn on the device, press F8, choose repair my computer and choose the option to drive HARD recovery.
Usually, it would begin the new installation of the OS. But note; HARD drive recovery option would be to format the whole HARD drive, which means that you will lose all files stored on the HARD drive.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

You can try to re-install using the original HP discs.

HP should give you the possibility of a destructive or non-destructive restore.

Or try a startup repair and / or a system restore using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.

Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

  • Vista will not start even in mode without failure or will start up repair help

    Hello everyone,

I've been many problems with my OS recently (Vista 32 bit business) and decided to reinstall (it was really a last resort). The relocation went well, but in the end, he got the black screen with the extended cursor and didn't budge (I left it overnight).

I forced to restart at the end of the day, and now it won't start, it just says loading windows and displays the logo of loading, but will not charge.

Safe mode will start to load the drivers, but then freeze, leaving a permanent list of drivers and a "Please wait".

I tried to boot from the Vista startup disk, who works the Startup Repair very well and running. The first time, he said he found problems with the boot files automatically and then asks me to click on "repair and restart. Once I do, nothing changes, it's always the same.

I tried to run a further startup repair, but it does nothing, just scans and scans and scans... but can't find anything in the newspaper (it is not passed the crawl log entry).

I can access the features on the disc to start very well, so I ran guest and drive a DSKCHK (read-only), but again it froze in the third part.

As far as I know all my hardware works fine, and a diagnostic scanning don't tell something abnormal.

    ... any ideas?

    Enjoy your time,

    Chris.

    Hi Chris,

This resembles the faulty Ram or a hard drive does not properly, even if the systems on board diagnosis cannot capture an error!

Of what you sayed I recon, it is a hard drive error more defective ram, try rerunning DSKCHK and see if it stops on part III, once again, if the fact, its probably your hard drive! Maybe someone else has a similar thought?

Hope this helps with your problem.

I got to my computer today and there was a blue screen with white writing about him say a word on the internal discharge. Then later in the day, the computer froze, after a while the screen went black with just the cursor on the screen. I restarted the computer and now it just does not start. In normal mode it gets as far as the loading screen Windows with the movement of green bar but stays on it indefinitely. If I try to start in safe mode it gets as much as crcdisk.sys and then crashes, and if I try to boot from the Vista recovery disc, it also only gets the windows loading green bar and stay on it. • MacBook does not start (even in safe mode)

Hi, I have a MacBook pro that won't start. When I turn it on, I hear the ring of priming, but then the screen stays black. I tried all possible troubleshooting recommendation, that I could find on the internet, but nothing makes a difference. None of the startup option keys (start in safe mode, mode disk target, selection of the boot drive, etc.) anything. I can reset the PRAM, but nothing else has even made a difference. All I see is a black screen

Last night, I tried to install another OS in a dual-boot configuration, so I was messing around with partitions on my hard drive. I thought that the worst case scenario, I could always reinstall the OS. Can really break the complete formatting of the hard drive boot sequence? I thought that a hardware failure would prevent me from booting from a USB stick recovery.

The computer is a MacBook Pro 15 "start 2013I think.

  • XP does not start even in safe mode

    Morning,

I'm having a problem with my machine so I think you better ask before as I have pay for some shenanigans of costly data recovery.

When I start the machine it starts very well, I can go into the bios end. But then, instead of loading windows need to standard safe mode screen. (I did not any software or hardware passes the machine in a few weeks and it has worked very well since that time.)

If I select all the options of safe mode 3 (safe mode, more networking, more command prompt) throws of machine up to a load of white text then asks me to press on enter to continue loading 'C:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys' and if I press on enter it reboots. If I press anything it restarts.

If I choose either start windows normally or last good configuration it starts to load windows (with the XP loading screen), then throws a 'blue screen of death' to a milliseconds so I don't know what it says and then re - start.

Is there a way I can re - install windows XP without losing files (word documents, etc.) on the disk? Or can I put the hard drive in another machine and retrieve the data off that way?

    See you soon,.

Firefox crashes a few seconds of starting if you have either the Applian Technologies Freecorder and Replay Media Catcher programs in combination with Norton Security software (and possibly other security software).

If you have either of these Applian programs and it is not essential, try to uninstall it then restart Windows to ensure that none of its components are running.
