Vista/Win7/language to XP fonts

I know that xp is no longer supported, but there is still a lot of people who still use XP.  Specially 3rd country in the world.

Since the arrival of Vista, the many languages of countries have been added.  In any case, we can use the Vista or Win7 for XP? Conversion without using third-party software?  Make this country appear not to be included in the language list.  Could the consumer end user add or modify one for Windows?  Example, I can choose listed Thai language and change the font and make type Indian language?  That is what MSKLC (creator of the language keyboard) is for?

Hi TekWannaB,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer languages of Vista or Windows 7 for XP.

Please see the list of languages offered by XP. List of languages supported in Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292246

  • Questions after Vista-> Win7 migration

    Hello

I have improved my T400s Vista Win7 32 bit teacher teacher yesterday, and he's NOT going smoothly. I had to start after an error message in the process. In any case, I ended up having to format my disk to preload and installed there. Coming back up, I have pretty much a generic Win7 installation, no traces of Lenovo drivers / software either. I pulled some from the companion disk and installed everything I could through the Thinkvantage Toolbox.

Now, I have the following questions:

    1. a device called device Base system in the other category of devices, slot PCI 3 does not install. Driver not available for download. What device is, so that I can download the driver manually?

2 rescue & Recovery is not installed. I found the Rescue and Recovery © 4.3 Sysprepbackup accessory package for Microsoft Windows 7, that's what I need?

3 fingerprint Reader does not turn on when I boot. I have fingerprints registered, but do not receive the option after booting. How can I activate it?

    4. the windows Boot Manager appears whenever I start. Can I disable it?

    Appreciate any help!

The Base system device seems to be the card reader, I installed it and problem #1 disappeared.

  • Some problems of Vista Win7 upgrade

    Hello!
My OS Equium A100-338 has been upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7.
Since what the Toshiba Movie Factory and the Ulead MovieWriter disappeard and now she also does not recognize SD cards. I checked toshiba Web site and I couldn't find the answer...
I have just the recovery for windows vista CD and I don't know what to do to recover the software (?), and how to solve the problem of SD card.
I'm just a user and do not understand the ins and outs of computers...
Is anyone out there that can help?

    Thank you so much!

    Silvia

I agree with Akuma. There must be a compatibility issue and if these apps n t work it is the price you pay for Win7 upgrade. These additional requests from Toshiba are not downloadable, so what you can do is to use Windows Movie maker or other applications.

What you can do, is to buy more recent Ulead Movie Maker/Writer designed for Win7.

I checked the Toshiba download page, and there is no driver for the SD card reader. This means that you can try to use the Vista driver or Win7 update is the only driver.
    Check please the two options.

  • Satellite L300D: changing in Vista keyboard language settings

    Hello!

I bought a cell phone in Spain (Satellite L300D series) and I added to the 'language bar' option 'Portuguese' (my language).
Usually I write texts in both languages - this is why I have not removed the "Spanish" option in the "language bar".
However, the Windows Vista changing by "chance", the language of my keyboard. Let me explain:

I opened the "language bar". Then, I opened the "Configuration" > "High Key Configuration.
There is the option "access keys for input languages". It is possible to select the 'ALT', 'CAPS LOCK' and 'SHIFT' keys to change the keyboard language. But it is also possible to only select "key" - so, theoretically, any key should you press: the language of the keyboard will not change.

That's what I did - but Windows Vista is not "obey" me...
What should I do to stop this type of change?

    Thank you!

    Hello

OK, you use two for keyboard input languages, but you should know that when you set once there are no fix. If you use several applications at the same time for each running application, you must set the input language.

I always use a single switch to choose between languages with left Alt + shift. The other two parameters are set to NONE. So when I use some application I can always check what language is set and change it quickly using left Alt + Shift key combination.

That's all. Test it on your laptop.

  • TimeZones West Australia. Vista/Win7 with 1 HR calendar of January 6, 2010 with the Vista OS PRE.

I am Manager of a network COMPUTER in Perth (Western Australia) and have found that appointments Outlook differ in the time of 1 hour between vista pre and post vista systems after January 6, 2010.  On vista and latest appointments are 1 hour later than XPP/W2k3 server.
Summer time was cancelled in WA and patches released to fix.  All systems have include the hotfix KB974176 and KB976098 installed.
I've tested with Microsoft office 2003 and office 2007 and found no change.  I have eliminated the exchange Server 2003 as I can reproduce the problem between Win7 and autonomous XPP (not on the field) systems, using the POP of an ISP email.
I called Microsoft support, the person told me that there is probably a fix published and to call hide them if it's still a problem on the 6 January.  This person seemed unsure of things and I felt he didn't have a patch being released, but just then assumed and was told to end the call of support.
Like any good computer scientist should be, trying to stop a potential problem before it happens (and I will be on leave on the 6 January).  With appointment problems can cost the company a lot of money if the meetings are missed.

Is anyone able to tell me if there is a known issue, which will be a patch or hotfix released before the January 6?  Or let me know how to get in touch with the right people at Microsoft who can help me.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Unable to change the base installation of Windows Vista Edition language family by using the restore Vista DVD

I have Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile (laptop) with pre installed Windows Vista Home basic. It is in the English language.

When I want to re-installed Vista using (supplied with Labtop) restore DVD, after the installation, it is in Arabic. I tried to change this language but I can't. Could you please help to solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello

You will need to contact Fujitsu about this.

You cannot change languages with Vista Ultimate and Enterprise.

You can have a different result if you try reinstalling using this method.

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

You must copy a file called places.sqlite in your old folder of profile to your current profile folder. (Firefox stores the user data in the profile folder)

  • DMA2200 downgrade from vista win7

Somebody has experiences using a DMA2200 with Vista32 after using it with Windows 7 32 bit?  I just got Windows 7 last month, so I installed it on my HTPC as a trial of 30 days at first, just to see what he could do.  This machine had worked OEM Vista Home Premium, works perfectly with the DMA2200.  Two days ago my 30 day trial went upward, so I went back to Vista32.  When I set up the Extender, it indicates the PC should be updated and I go to the www.microsoft.com/extender/update, which does not exist.  I took the last updated firmware on the DMA2200 and applied several Ko I have picked on the other threads in this forum, connection error but the PC hangs just to connect, and the DMA said only: updated the PC.

    Thanks in advance

Problem solved, it was the SP1.  I thought two days had passed, and all the critical updates came through the pipe.  I was WRONG, apparently Vista takes his sweet time.  It took this morning from SP1 and SP2 this afternoon.  Neither has been also critical, until sometimes today, and then they just rolled through another.  It not is never occurred to me I was on before SP2 I "upgraded" to W7 to test...

  • Dv6700 Vista-> Win7 - Intel(r) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815-Unknown Device

Hey there, I couldn't find this one specifically for the dv6700. I had to reinstall everything, and this title was to improve the form of Vista to Windows 7.

I tried to follow this guide:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and/Windows-7-upgrade-guide-for-dv6000-dv900...

But I always came up with a problem in my device manager:

    Unknown device:

    Intel(r) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815

    Hardware ID

    ACPI\HPQ000

    * HPQ000

I hope that this is sufficient to diagnose the problem. For another model, it seemed to be a thing of Bluetooth, but I don't think so here.

    Your help is very appreciated.

  • Import .reg Vista/Win7, in subkeys hidedesktopicons data damage registry XP?

Out of curiosity, I imported DesktopIconsDomainSettingsUSE.reg of http://www.sd61.bc.ca/windows2000/Windows7/Documents.html

in the registry of a standalone PC with XP Pro SP3 XP.

I write the current values before the import, but I did not export the keys.

I removed what was imported in the keys and changed the values for the keys that existed to the original values.   For example, change from 0 to 1.

    The registry is not serious?

It is impossible to say if you did everything correctly.  To make sure he was in the way he has been, perform a system restore using a date and time before you merged the registry entries.  System Restore is best done is Safe Mode.
