• Visual effects pitch black - Media Player 10 won't install

  When I press Visual effects in Media Player and Media Center my screen becomes black pitch. The music plays, but there is no effect anyone. Just total darkness.

  Received a response from Microsoft Answers, thank you for your response. Have tried all your advice without success. I ran the upgrade was "update for Windows 7 for x 64 system (KB2641690) November 13 2011.Even tried to install a new administrator, and it did not work. Uploaded a new video driver from ATI with success. I went back to an earlier version of system restore, our system automatically makes a return every three days and this did not help. I'm an American living in Germany, so our computer is a Toshiba L670D-105 German, Product Code PS3NE - 005001GR. Finally, I did a search through our system for the chemistry files, stripes and waves (strip und Wellen in German) and battery (battery) and the search gave no results. Is it possible that these files were erased during the update process? In the configuration menu of the Media Center, I can select these files and save the settings, but I have still no visual effect when I play music. If this is the problem how can I get back those files?

I know that you can change the settings for Visual effects, but I try to keep the arrow defining for Windows 7 and prevent the user from changing this setting, or even when they try to go to Visual effects and change the settings in it.

• "Photo of storage allocated by the performance Options > Visual effects.

  After clicking on "Adjust for best performance" option [performance Options > Visual effects] pictures stored in my folder images only appear an icon (you will need to open to see the picture). When you select adjust for best performance, all boxes are unchecked. Should which option I check again for the images to display in my folder?

• Slow performance on Linux for Visual effects

  Visual effects such as Transitions are very poor on linux "winded" compared to windows. I noticed this on different PC, checked for Java7 and Java8.

  If the user interface contains many objects and then the transition sometimes is not even.

  I don't think that it is the graphics since videos are quite ok.

  I use the driver ATI without Xorg.conf file and installed the xcompmgr

  and I tried several options, such as

  Option "Composite" "Enable".

  or

  Option "backingstore" 'true '.

  Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true".

  This does not speed up things, are there other things I could do to improve performance?

  • On the platforms Linux, acceleration hardware chart is only supported for Nvidia cards (only for the proprietary drivers).

  I don't know if this is the cause of your performance problems, but it is probably something to consider.

  Its a great book and the best way to learn in my opinion, it's kind on the official manual,

  but this section to early mixes stuff advanced too early, which is probably better to slowly learn the latter, perhaps it's just supposed to preview what coming.

  Have you tried the accessibility features? The documentation is available in Appendix F of the EM12c Advanced Installation and the Configuration Guide (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/install.121/e24089/appdx_accessibility_features.htm#EMADV12166).  Affecting either the "I use a screen reader' or 'Use high contrast settings' options give you what you want.

  It is expected that you will not be able to adjust Visual effects in a Linux guest because of the lack of functionality of OpenGL.

  "Why not VMware emulates OpenGL in Linux environments?

  The short answer is "because it's hard."  I won't get into the technical details, but suffice it to say, it is not trivial, otherwise we already does.

  "It is under development"?

  It is against policy for us to discuss what may or may not do regarding a merge feature (and all VMware products besides).

  That being said, it is obvious that our users want this (in Fusion and workstation) and this is something that we are trying to move, but we cannot comment further on where we are with this in terms of development.

  You can't unless the manufacturer of the device has an API available for him.
  There is no possibility to control the native camera functions by default.

  1. you try to play a video from a CD/DVD or those recorded in the computer?

  2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

  Step 1:

  Try to update the codecs to check if the problem persists. See the below mentioned the Windows Help article.

• AE never use 'double precision FP64' calculation of Visual effects?

  I'm trying to find out if after effects never really use double precision calculate what whether or not. I know the basis of coding video is really ever use it, but I wonder if the particle effects benefit from double precision or if it's mostly to single precision.

  I am currently using a GTX black Titan, which has a good amount of double precision performance, but I don't know if I ever really use it. I'm looking to the new Titan X, which essentially replaces the power of calculation of double-precision with even more unique precision. I especially to create the content of the game in real time and can always benefit from the upgrade of single precision performance, but I also use After effects a good amount and won't lose boosts performance in it. I can get more benefits on the Titan X because that all rendered I do generally is through converters of cpu and no gpu converters, but I do not know what changes After Effects has achieved since CS6.

  Totally irrelevant. Effects like Particle World are not the same hardware accelerated, so what might even be the point on single-precision and double-precision? And for all purposes useful, it is even irrelevant if that were the case - many pixel operations and position related calculations are quantified / integer for which single precision is sufficient. Double-precision really only countries out for complex vector operations where rounding errors for example can mess with for dynamics or similar collision detection.

  What you notice is something that many people have found problems with in the past.  If it is not possible to directly program LabVIEW imitate what you see then in the mode of development and does not work, it may be possible to programmatically determine the end of the transaction slip.  Here is a link to a knowledge base that describes this better:

• By using WPF effects on graphs

  Is anyway to add effects to a shot special chart/plot chart? It does not resemble the standard graphic plot inherits the properties of class of effects. I see that you can change the color of the contour and thickness but no support for the effects.

  Basically what I want to achieve, it's add effects to a plot to make it more 'realistic' look (take advantage of some of the hardware acceleration that WPF offers).

  I'm trying to recreate an oscilloscope with animated controls and use the reflections and effects to make the "glow" signal, making it almost more aesthetic blur.

  Any help on that would be great.
