• VCP Preq 4 Clarification

  I need some clarification.

  I'm not a VCP3, but I read the path to VCP4 be I could do the VCP4 test no later than December 31, (I don't know how the extention to Jan. 31 plays in it).

  I attended two courses VI3. Install and configure and Deploy, Secure & analysis courses.

  This is the case or that I still have to sit for the 'what's new V4 class' to obtain the VCP4 cert?

  The recent extension applies to you, so until the end of January 2010, you have 2 options to achieve VCP4 given your attendance of course VI3:

  1. pass the VCP3, then pass the VCP4

  2 assist the vSphere: what is the new class, pass the VCP4

  Option 1 work for you, you would have to take the two exams by January 31, 2010, if you miss this deadline you will need to attend the vSphere: what is new in class (or one of the other classes of eligible VCP4) anyway, as part of obtaining your VCP4. Here is my interpretation of the different paths to VCP4.

• MacBook Air ceased to recognize Vizio TV via HDMI

  I have been connecting my 13 "mid-2011 MacBook Air to my smart Vizio TV with a bolt of lightning for a HDMI cable for a while now to stream online TV. It's very simple. (Forgive me if these descriptions are a bit off, but to the best of my memory). With connected to the laptop, once that the cable is connected, the TV/HDMI adapter as well as the choice for the choice of display Built In both appeared in the display preferences panel. I choose the HDMI connection, go to the "input" on the TV Panel, select HDMI source, and that's it. Connected.   Info extra, when the cable is connected, the Macbook Air flickers a couple of times, the screen goes black and says "Data recovery" as he usually did, but said then "Signal"!

  Don't know if it is compatible or not... also a trick to avoid the OverScan trying to hook up an HDMI cable to a TV Vizio... works ok... but it should generally leave X 2 open and when the screen is larger on the bigger screen and cannot see the controls in the corners as they bleed or overscan out of sight

  I have a dell 720 R service class machine. In general, the system should display the boot messages during boot sequence. As the logo DELL followed hard details of memory, disk and network hardware card / other details etc. Is it not?

• X 201 WLAN LED does not blink. Is this normal?

  Hello, I just got a ThinkPad X 201 (this is my third ThinkPad). As expected, this is a great machine and I'm pretty impressed with its performance, despite its size.

  However, I noticed that the WIFI does not blink - my two other ThinkPads done - it. Is this normal? I have not noticed any problems with conectivity.

  Also, I am interested in the WWAN upgrade (this machine is expandable WWAN). The maintenance manual contained the F3507g Ericsson as a proper map. I'm lucky to have this one in my other ThinkPad, but when I tried to install the X 201 rejected saying its not allowed. How can I find out what other cards listed in the manual is really compatible with the model?

  WLAN-LED:

  1. Run regedit
  2. GoTo HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class
  3. Search from there for your wireless network card f.ex "6200 agn' (see in Device Manager)
     As search result you will get for example:
     "\0007 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CEBFC1-08002BE10318}.
     You will find additional keys like "DriverDesc", "DriverVersion", "Ada" etc.
  4. Create a RegDWord named 'LedMode '.
  5. set its value to one of the following:
  • 0 = always off LED
  • 1 = led on and blinks then that traffic
  • 2 = always on LED

  deactivate and activate your WLAN device in Device Manager.

  On some Thinkpads "LedMode" - entry is missing - so it must be created manually

  I looked at the API LED and it does not appear to be linked to the NotificationsManager.

  Hey. There is no Led color property in the NotificationApplicationSettings class, but there is a list drop-down color led in the menu of notifications app customized for applications. Is there no workaround solution for color led in this drop-down list?

  Hey. Uh, what I really wanted, was for the user to be able to use the standard notif app menus to choose the color of the led. But this is not possible, so I wrote it myself. I have my own color drop the so they need to open my application to place it. I also do as you say my own Led because the notif std is interfered wit sometimes by the notif mail led. Even the spirit of the sound, etc. I obey the rules worldwide and notif app settings so it's similar, but my app volume is the volume of media, that is a question too if they reduce media flight. In any case, it works fine, so tks for your help.

• I can control the LED "flash"?

  I was wondering if there is an API to toggle the LED "flash". I saw the LED class, but it is not a constant for the flash, just the trackball and the State LEDs.

  There is no API in the BlackBerry API set that allow you to control the camera flash on a BlackBerry handheld.

• Frequency LED?

  I am looking for a way to manipulate the frequency of blinking of the LED on the device using Cascades.

  So far, I am able to access the LED and change its color. I can't find any mention about the frequency in the API documentation. Need a pointer on how to do this?

• Newbie question - how to set up the new sequence of 1280 x 720?

  Need to do a video class for Youtube & PP project still to learn.

  Read YT vid is 16:9 ratio, and a common frame size is 1280 x 720, but having trouble setting up of work area.

  for example. New sequence / select Widescreen 48 kHz, which is the format of the pixels is D1/DV... Image 16:9 720 poster size h, (where h is height right?... but no width)

  Once created, I look under settings of sequence and this watch frame size 720 Horiz and 480 green, gray & unchangable. Like all other fields.

  That's happened? I don't understand... How can I get 1280 x 720?

  Usually I drop a video on a new timeline, makes - me if I want to change the setting to match, but I have vids of 1280 x 720 for this project, some are bigger, some are vertical phone mobile videos. I tried to drop a jpg 1280 x 720 on a new timeline, but did not get this dialog box.

  I don't have the time to do a whole bunch of tutorials at the moment, hope someone can help make me it past this issue.

  You need to fix CS6 first missing sequence settings:

  Features and sequence presets missing | Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, first Pro CC

  Once you have done this, you can configure your sequence.

• Why my video of p 720 and 1080 doesn't show 100% in the editing window?

  I just bought a new iMac and re downloaded the CC2015 Creative Suite. When you work in first my HD video displayed in the edit window, the value 100% does not appear to the right size to 100%. Display an HD picture in addition and opening it in Photoshop appears also not at 100%. The weird part is, when I released the video in HD formats, it plays well. I need a new dish somewhere. It didn't happen with the old iMac.

  OK, here's the deal. I was not a resolution setting that was what I suspected (new system). After thinking about what was different from what has crashed on me I ordered this new iMac with 4K retina display (anticipate working with 4K video in the not too distant future).

  The link below talking about a option in the app get the window information that allows you to open (what is now considered) low resolution when opening the apps that I've experienced this with. It's a checkbox in the apps get info window. Funny to think HD is now regarded as HD.
