  Hi all

  I am writing a LabVIEW application and check that the Switch Executive session is valid before I allow the user to validate the test to run. I connect the not A number/path/Refnum? Function to reference session SE and it connects correctly, but the output of the function is never wrong even though I see the session reference is valid and non-null. Any ideas why this is?

  It was a trick to convert a reference internal in an external shared library (usually a pointer memory) in a datalog refnum strict typedefed. This safely prevents a user to connect to what anyone, but this type of refnum at the VI in question. But this wasn't really a datalog refnum and the is not a number/path/Refnum refnum, which subsystem to question the validity of a refnum to determine based on the subtype. The LabVIEW datalog Manager ever created this refnum and hence will return correctly (not one of my refnums which is currently known to be valid).

  Because of this problem the misuse of datalog refnums as a unique resource identifier has been abandoned more in recent years. Also it will work with any external resources representing pointers memory when using 64-bit LabVIEW, since memory pointers are big in this 64-bit environment LabVIEW refnums are still 32-bit.

  Collate OR if they have a newer version of the Switch Executive in gestation or perhaps already out.

  You mentioned that you have installed the driver. Did you also install the program SimplePass found on the link below? I saw a version of Windows 8 for the unit, but the version of Windows 7 can work. • Refnum control is not a number/path/refnum

  Hi all

  I'm working on a LV7.1 program. It has a control refnum on the façade. If this control is not signed by the appellant, the follow-up 'Not a number/path/refnum' will return TRUE. It's like a 'default'. But I don't know how to implement this function. I mean, I can't find a way to set the control of refnum with a default value as "not a number/path/refnum". Can someone give me a hint?

  Under file e / s-> constants file, there is a constant "not a Refnum". (Why under file e/s? Do not know?)

  You can change your control to an indicator, it wire up to now, the VI run once and then change things at the back (you now have not a Refnum value).  You can then make it worth stick by right-clicking on the control of data operations by choosing-> do default to the current value.

  This assumes that the control has managed to be pre-initialized with one value other than not a refnum.

  I have a Happauge PVR 150 TV capture card installed, and you want to watch TV and my video files Via the Xbox 360. I can see the guide for lists of TV programs, but not to look at them without getting the message above.  I can also put in place a program to record, display the video thumbnail, but not play. Video files only will play are videos very select few years recorded only where there is.

  My graphics card is an ATI 2900XT - 512 MB of ram, with the latest drivers.

  I've seen a number of discussions on the web that describes the same (or similar) problem, but none of them seem to have no solution.

  I had Norton Internet Security installed and it has since withdrawn because of the firewall. I had thought, it could be a firewall issue, but it is not. I'm now using the Windows Firewall for now.

  I deleted and reinstalled the Xbox as an Extender media several times... no help. I have re-installed the complete drivers for the video capture card, it has not helped either. I checked and double-checked the settings on my router as well.

  The xbox is set for the share on my multimedia computer. The correct files can also be programmed for sharing.

  On the PC in Windows Media Center, I can view the TV programs, record programs etc etc etc all work.

  Any help would be really appreciated!

• BlackBerry Smartphones Boost Mobile 9310 BBM works not

  I recently bought two 9310's to Boostmobile.com. I activated phones and have the phone service and SMS. Pins and MMS do not work.

  After completing the race of customer service Boost Mobile (called six times to unable to people who do not have the slightest idea how to diagnose my problem), I spoke finally someone who discovered that the PIN is recorded as a Sprint not a PIN brooch Boostmobile. For this reason, Boost system will not my access phone to BBM.

  According to two different techniques, support people, a Boost pin has letters in line and my two new phones to Boostmobile.com have not all letters in the axis. This is what tech to rush to stop support because they thought I tried to record a Sprint Blackberry.

  For the last week, I was not able to get the boost to activate BBM because of this problem. Given that I bought two new phones and they have this problem, I do not think that send them back to get more than two phones will probably solve my problem.

  Does anyone know how to get Boost to activate my BBM service? Apparently their system won't let not my phones access BBM because the system thinks that they are the Sprint phones, but Boost has told me they do not know how to solve this problem.

  I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am with Boost on the many hours of time I spent on the phone still does not get a resolution.

  I spoke with the support of Blackberry, and they told me that they cannot help me because it is a problem of Boost. But has no RIM to Boost power supply with the phone that has the pin of Sprint?

  A few days ago, Boost Mobile Tech Support called me to let me know that the solution to the problem is that I need new phones. The phones that I have conducted with a PIN Spint. Since my Blackberry has not all the letters in the axis, it was done properly and I need to return two phones to Brightpoint order new phones.

  I don't have confidence in the present, because I assumed that my chances were good enough get two more of the same since I was initially two phones with the same question. But after 10 calls to boost, hours on the phone with people clueless and not getting anywhere, I saw no other choice.

  Last night, I received a call from Boost Mobile Tech Support to solve this problem. I told the person who told me that the phones were made with a Sprint pin and I needed to get new phones again. He was surprised to hear that, and then he told me that this was not correct. He asked if I was OK with him pass my plan to a different plan then return it restores on my orignial plan. It was supposed to pass by the activation of BBM twice to get BBM activated their system.

  It worked!

  Here are a few things I learned on the Boost Mobile Tech Support:

  (1) the people you talk to are not technical. In fact, they were pretty clueless and do their best to avoid disturbing the staff limited to engineers. At best, they are a conduit for the engineers.

  (2) If you can not get a resolution after hours on the phone, insisting that a 'ticket' is written on your problem and note the number of the ticket.

  (3) make sure that you get the ticket number. If you do not, there is a strong possibility that they said they wrote a ticket but do not have. For some reason, they really don't want to write a ticket. I had to insist to talk to the principal contractor to get a ticket started. This was my 6th time that I called for support and it had not yet started recording.

  (4) make sure that what they have written information about the problem on the ticket. The supervisor wrote the ticket because my phone has no cell service. When I called the next day to learn more, I got the person read the ticket for me and I found that my BBM problem has not been registered.

  (5) make sure that the information contained in the ticket are to the point. Engineers use this information to give a technical support more ideas on how to solve the problem. Then support will call you to try the idea of the engineer. Remember, technical support is an intermediary to the engineer. If technical support writes a wrong description on the ticket, the engineer will not be able to give good advice.

  (6) If no ticket is written when you get off the phone and the problem is not resolved, then you will have lost all of your time on the phone. Next time you call, you'll be all over again. It took me five calls until I discovered this.

  (7) the false information to support tech clueless that they believe are true, but not sure if it's true or not. You call then return another day, while the next person to whom you are speaking is in disagreement with what the previous person. You call then return another day, and you get yet another contradiction. I couldn't on how this happened.

• Dialog results 'not a number '.

  Hello! I am new to InDesign scripting (to date) and has difficulties with the help of dialog box results in my script. The script that I put in place creates calligraphy guide line to the bottom of a page and got this works well but then wanted to be able to specify the distance between the lines in a dialog box, rather than in the script, and it does not work now.

  I know that everything from line 43 down works if I remove the dialog box and create variables using parseInt() rather than pulling them from the box of dialogue, but as soon as I try to use the values of the dialog box, what happens with error on line 60 30491 that ascenderHeight is not a number (and so he can probably use it to calculate in geometricBounds). I tried to convert a variable to test entire under line 43, but it makes no difference. Initially, I used the measurementEditBox as in the tutorial of InDesign scripting, but thought that the whole it would remove any excess baggage.   Without going into all of your script, let's look at your dialog box:

  Take the code to your dialog box and copy it to a separate script.

  Now instead of calling the construction guide, replace this line with a test to check the values of variables:

  You have found a reference for widgets dialog box, not the edit value.

  Add .editValue to each of your definitions of variables so that they read:

  I see what you mean now. Seems to be a problem with your phone field. Did you by chance change the email for a field phone field? I see that you do not have a field of electronic mail and an email field is required for the form to work. If I add an email to the contact number field, it works fine.
