  Once the date and time changes are applied Cisco IPS CLI, they should have been saved. No additional step of "savings" manually is necessary.

  Also, have you thought about Configure NTP on IPS server. IPS synchronizes time with NTP server, if there is no difference.

  I suggest you contact Cisco TAC and report the problem of equipment.

  I agree with cainics, start an average size and go from there.  I know it's a production mail server and you can not exactly 'play' with the settings because this requires time, but if you do the VM too big, you would have nothing left for other virtual machines.

  I would go 2 vCPU and at least 4 GB of RAM, maybe 8GB.  There must be parameters for the Exchange mailbox 813 and X users # to implement your environments in order to get an idea of the amount of RAM that will be... 4GB seems minimal to me, but 8 GB would probably be better like that.

  Would it be something as simple as incompatibility?  Which generation of the DL160 do you use?  If you do not see the problems associated with the material posted at the STATION, have you tried to boot from the latest Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) and run diagnostics to make sure that the hardware is fully functional?

  Your system may have done something after the update.  It was just after the installation?

• How to span multiple LUNS on one (or less) data store (s) in Vmware ESXi 4.1 vSphere environment?

  Hey guys -.

  I currently have 2 hosts ESXi (version 4.1u3), 1 vCenter Server and 1 EMC VNXe3300 SAN (20 to via iSCSI) that make my virtual environment.

  On the EMC is, you create VMware Datastores (which have a limit of 2 TB) then connect these data storage to VMware ESXi hosts.  Once logged in, would continue it the process through the Add Storage Wizard via VMware to connect the disk/LUN storage via iSCSI.  Ultimately, the Lun (s) would then be accessed through the virtual environment (in the Configuration > storage > data warehouses) as generally expected.

  Due to the limit of 2 TB (both on the CEM, Version of VMware and VMFS3) on data warehouses, I find myself with having several data warehouses being created on the side of the EMC and VMware (see photo) appearance.  I know that's not rectifiable via CEM level, but I was wondering if there was any way for me to bring together all these data stores on the side of things VMware.  This way rather than navigate to Configuration > storage > data warehouses and separate iSCSI indicator 6 data warehouses, it would just be a (or more, but less than the existing) data store; It would then extend in all actual data stores that I would.

  I don't know what the appropriate terminology is used to describe it, but I hope someone can help me to what I want to achieve.  Or at the very least, can you please steer me in the right direction.  If this isn't something that can be achieved or it is discouraged, what are the other options which would be recommended?

  If you are too confusing, here are the steps

  To allow a standalone ESXi 5.x (vSphere Hypervisor):

  1. Connect to the ESXi host with vSphere Client.
  2. Click the Configuration tab.
  3. Click licensed features in software.
  4. Click change in the appearance under the license tab.
  5. Select assign a new license key at this host.
  6. Press enter and enter the license key.
  7. Click OK.

  I started last year virtualize our servers to VMware ESXi 4.1 and all running perfect.

  The only server that I've not virtualized was Microsoft Forefront threat Management Gateway 2010 (TMG server).

  But Friday our server collapsed, and I have no choice but to restore a backup of TMG on an ESXi server.

  Who then got connected to the internet to work as a gateway/firewall in 1 hour approximately, that this has been done.

  But I've always had this idea that he not great security wise to put a firewall/gateway server on an ESXi host with direct connection to the internet.

  Ofcouse the NETWORK card is attached to only this guest (TMG server),

  But my concern is really ok? or is there no direct safety problem to have my ESXi directly connected to the ISP?

  If there is no problem of security, it will be easy to simply continue to use this host and toll-free addictional on hardware.
