  Good day HP!

  Guys you know why Google Voice Search would say that error message "unable to join google at the moment?

  I met an end-user of this tablet and has replaced its first unit because of this problem. Now on his second unit his past again, the user wonders if it is a factory default or a bug on the app.

  I already checked the parameters of google / search / don't voice any odd parameters was made. All parameters for the tablet in particular on research are enabled by default.

  The connection work and the Wifi signal is good. Work of browser app and Google Chrome app works perfectly well.

  Google Chrome also has the voice search button and it works.

  The only problem is the voice search App. It has never worked.

  Welcome to the HP Forums!

  I understand that you are having problems with the Google Search application.

  I have spent a lot of time, research on this issue and find traces scattered everywhere on the internet for most Android devices. A bit of the commune of bugs that other users have found include:

  • Check the date and time are correct, including your time zone: Settings > Date and time > set the date, time and time zone.
  • Clear the application cache: Settings > storage > Applications > Google search > clear cache.
  • Disable Bluetooth: Settings > press power on/off button next to Bluetooth.
  • Hard reset: With the tablet on, press and hold the power button 8 + seconds until it stops. Turn it back on and test.

• AppleTv Voice Search works do not with iTunes

  Just bought a new 64 GB Apple TV.

  • I've exhausted every effort to try to make the voice search to recognize the information in my personal iTunes library.  Music finds it but that is because I paid for iTunes game.
    • I tried to rebuild the spotlight database
    • disabled firewall
    • everything under network shared
  • and AppleTv simply refuses to account for the iTunes library when it comes to research.

  AppleTv can all play on my iTunes, which means that it is reading the information under the COMPUTER icon, but because the unemployment insurance and the COLOR scheme is the worst the OFFICE365, I literally stand foot 1 since the screen just to see where the displaced white switch broken box, otherwise by selecting the wrong item can be costly in time and patience.

  If someone has figured out how to make the voice search works or CAN TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE the color scheme I would really appreciate it.

  What can't do Siri

  While the list of things Siri can do on Apple TV is growing, there are always a few things that can be done with the virtual assistant on your TV.

  • Siri cannot close apps in multitasking screen.
  • Siri cannot search the Web.
  • Siri cannot search applications or games on the App Store.
  • Siri cannot find home sharing libraries.
  • Siri cannot search for content on your hard drive (Plex content, for example).
  • Siri cannot create or add music to playlists in the music app.

• Where is the voice search icon?

  I had problems to my home screen to crash, so I cleared my cache from the home screen.

  My Google voice search (microphone 1 X 1) icon is now gone. It is not in my applications or my widgets.

  It is shown as installed (in the game store), but it does not appear anywhere.

  I also tried the applications of research, the 'G' blue and white search bar.

  Neither can be resized or adjusted (in the settings) to return looking for Mic icon/app.

  I also assigned the double tap the magnifying glass of voice search button, but it also just opens google search and not looking for voice (without the extra step of tapping on the microphone in the application icon).

• Google Voice Search has stopped working.

  Search Google text-to-speech has stopped working. When I click on the microphone on the search widget, it evokes a box that says force close. He also does that when I click on voice search in the applications Panel. I went and put the widget in the trash, thinking perhaps that it works if I and put it back on but I can't find it to put it back. So now I can't look at all. Someone please help. Thank you

  No there is no way to reinstall an application pre-loaded, but to do a factory reset.

• Google Voice search question

  Randomly when I press the home button to go to the home screen of the search box on Google voice arrives. It has not been used to do this, so I guess I accidentally activated something? Someone knows how to do this, go away? Its more inconvenience than anything either.

  Go to the menu button - settings - Applications - scroll to the bottom and there is our wonderful new double tap setting that has no adjustment. So choose something you can use for now...

• Firefox redirects Windows 10 "Hey Cortana" search

  I use Firefox on Windows 10 42.0. The operating system correctly recognize Firefox as my default browser and uses the search engine by default for most of the research of Cortana, but all initiated with "Hey Cortana" voice command are performed via Bing instead of my default search engine (no matter what it is defined on). This does not affect searches typed in Cortana or voice searches after clicking on the microphone icon in Cortana.

  I tried to restart Firefox in Safe Mode and refreshing to the profile nothing helps. I checked the option "Use this search for Windows search engine" is checked and that the "browser.search.redirectWindowsSearch" on: config option is set to True (as well as manually activating / disabling the option of two places).

  The setting worked at the first time in 40 of Firefox, but stopped some time ago.

• GPS problems - no icon and "location unavailable" in the search

  Problem:

  When the GPS is turned on, I can no longer use the voice search and get local results by location.  It was working fine when I got the phone.

  GPS is not working, and the gps icon appears in the top status bar, when I'm in the CARD program.

  When I press the voice search icon, I'm talking about "Pizza".  What I get is a general google search for pizza... not according to the location.  When I press the 'Use current location' link, he quickly said: "no available update of location."  So, I press update... it will say "Place of acquisition" for a second, then returns to 'location update not available '.

  Still, the GPS icon appears ONLY if I'm in the CARDS program except that it is missing.  I don't know if it's because of an app, I installed that broke, or just a bug Droid.

  ... Yes, you have to if you want to use the way you say it.

  Use of wireless networks is for aGPS. It is not as accurate.   It is based on the the cell towers that surround you.   If you think about it, a death on the exact position is not necessary to find a restaurant close that it is not enough to know what part of town you're in.   AGPS is based on towers, it is instantly available and uses no extra battery to determine.  So... It's better for the query of the voice.   If the GPS was used, I guess you would need a "Waiting for position" so that it works correctly.

  GPS is perfectly accurate and is necessary for browsing.   It takes a little more time, does not also well indoors or in an urban environment like aGPS.

  Really a combination of features that best suit both together.

  "Wireless network" in this case is the cell not towers... no WiFi.

  The reason this is an option, it's that people want their identified position.   However, if there is no information on the post a query based on the position should not be expected.  Either way, if you dial 911, your position is identified in any case.

• Microphone internal mute after a Skype call

  After completing a call Skype the internal MIC is silent and does not work in subsequent calls or among all the apps of the device (e.g., Google Voice Search, Hangouts, WhatsApp, etc.). Only after restarting the device, the internal MIC will work again.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. start a Skype call (no matter if it's with or without video). The microphone works well, both parties can hear each other.
  2 to end the call (regardless of which party the call hangs).
  
  After the end of the call from the internal microphone stops working. If I run a new call, I can hear the other party but they don't hear me. The icon to mute the mic than silent watch is turned off (active micro) and clicking it has no effect (i.e. only changes the appearance of the icon but the mic is always cut in any case). The microphone does not work until the next reboot. This problem affects all applications using the MIC until the next reboot.
  
  This same behavior happened a few months before, but it was fixed after Skype update. This could be a regression.
  
  There is absolutely no problem at all when you use the microphone with the rest of the applications (except if a call is made with Skype).

  Fixed prior to version 6.19.0.460 (probably a couple of versions).

  I use Siri voice search to work around this limitation of the user interface. Asking for Siri to show me the current or last episode of a particular program seems to work pretty well.

• 6 s iPhone and IOS 9.2 Bluetooth issues - help

  After updating IOS 9.2 that Siri does more work in my BMW or any other Bluetooth connected device.  There is a band of purple on the top of the phone when it is connected and no sounds are picked up by the microphone the phone or vehicle.  I restarted the phone and disconnected the Bluetooth with no will.  Is anyone having this problem?  It's a matter of adjustment or a bug in 9.2?  I hope it's fixed once it has completely stopped my free hands capacity.

  I have solved the problem but have no idea how.  I turned off voice search google, tour the siri works and Siri has started working in the car.

• Question about settings and update

  I was wondering if all the settings on the phone must be enabled or disabled for the update, or if any of the preloaded, self downloadng apps need to be updated? I do not use WiFi or gps to the location and the other are the two people with reduced mobility. Otherwise everything is stock with no third party apps installed apart from those mentioned above. Not all those who are updated, this video of Verizon and Google Voice Search. If there's anyone who needs or settings need to be changed, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

  There should not be any settings that you need to change, as long as you have a data connection when it is sent, you will receive the update.

• My motorcycle G keeps beeping during a call

  My motorcycle G makes a sound when I am on call. I can not hear it but can be heard on the other side which is very annoying. How to solve this problem? Here are the apps that I have installed which I think you need to know:

  Uninstallation of the application issue works 99% of the time. I saw a few apps that never uninstall cleanly, but this is rare.

  I know not what app may be able, but if one of them interact with the calling function, or have auto-save options, I'd look there first.
