• Impossible to rip the CD using WMP 11 in WAV format. Ripping starts but the CD eject and no error message.

  I use Vista and Windows Media Player 11.  I'm trying to rip a CD in WAV format.  I set the extraction options to create the WAV file and write the wav file in the c:\temp\wav folder.  I want to compare the file size and sound quality.  When I insert the CD, the extraction process seems to start (I mean start to turn up), but it stops and the CD is ejected after a second or two.

  I won't have any trouble to create WMA Lossless files.

  I also tried to use Windows 7 and WMP with the same results.  No problem with WMA format but exact same results when you try to create the WAV.

  UPDATE: I tried two different CD extraction before asking this question and got the same result for two CDs.  I just tried a different CD and was a success.

  Any suggestions why some CDs and others not?

  Thanks for responding.  I tried both ' activation automatic ripping ' and initiator ripping manually.  In both scenarios, I checked the "Eject CD after Ripping".  Same results.

  It seems strange that the CD can be the cause of the problem, if I RIP in .wma without problem, but I can't rip in .wav.

  I am producing very simple reports for the web in the first Clip. The editing is great but there are two functions, I'm missing. 1 / there is no option of fade with only the audio between each clip.

  2 / How is it possible to make a voice recording on your phone and import the audio file into Premiere Clip? I tried to find an app that exports in the music, but so far without success. Like that I guess that the voice on the file can be imported into a music file. Would have been great if you could do voice over recording directly on the timeline.  I want to avoid export the project at first that I want to spend less time as possible before you publish videos.

  Also is it possible to add a simple text on top of the video (like a name belt)?

  Thanks for your comments, they are great feature ideas and the team has noted your requests for audio fades, the voice on the recording and the text on the video. In the meantime, here are a few ideas:

  • You can add fade in / fade in audio by tapping on the "speaker" icon and turning it on individual items. There is currently not a global option audio crossfade, but if you can also melted chained the video, you can create very smooth audio transitions.   • Soundtracks should be included in the iTunes library on your device to add to your video. I'm not aware of all the mobile apps that allow you to save to your device iTunes library. I would recommend sending the Premiere Pro project in order to use the voice on the recording feature.

• Any MP3 converted to wav format in CP5

  Does anyone know why when I import MP3s, Adobe® Captivate® 5 converts them to wav format? I understand that when he publishes audio, it converts them to mp3 but I think than its size, adding to overall published .swf (appx. 2 MB for project 55 slides) in its MP3-> wav-> mp3 conversion. I checked my preferences, but I see no option for this. This is really weird is also that there are 3 slides when it is not happenning, meaning mp3 remains as mp3 when they are imported. The rest of the 52 slides audio converted to wav format when I import an audio mp3.
  
  Also, I'm looking for ways to reduce the overall file size of the .swf published with audio.

  To my knowledge, the behavior to use the format of WAV file internally in Captivate is hard-coded in.  It is not a parameter, you can change.

  I use hearing CS6 version5.0 to edit wav files and play in an Android device to test. I have a wav file that can be played with an android device, I only use my Audiotion CS6 to open and save as another file, so this file cannot be read with the same device.

  It seems that the main format of wav file went from 16 hdr.fmt_sz to hdr.fmt_sz 18, how config my hearing that save the wav even as the right file and can be played with android device.

  You use Libsndfile .wav option to save the file, by chance? That gives endian options and all sorts of other possibilities for wav files. That could cause all sorts of problems!

  Use the Windows PCM option at the bottom of the list only - what is almost certainly the only one that will work correctly.

• Siri/dictation, not working, showing the voice waves when I don't speak

  Hi all, I have an iPhone 6 and Siri/dictation no longer work.

  When I start siri, the colored area of sin-wave-looking down immediately starts going crazy, as if I'm talking out loud, even if I am in a quiet room. Previously, he moved only when I was actually talking.

  Siri is unable to hear or respond to anything - goes the same for dictation. I already did the following:

  (1) reboot the phone

  (2) Siri toggle switch (ditto for "Hey Siri")

  SIri is broken for me too. I even restored my phone to factory settings, and it still does not work. I contacted Apple support, and they told me that it is a known problem that Apple developers are actively working to fix and deploy an update soon. No word on when this will happen if... And by then, probably the most used feature of my phone is useless for me.

• Microphone is not record audio (my voice) during the recording of videos!

  So, today I went to check on some of my video files to modify and at their reading, I heard no noise. I was confused by this because in the past, my microphone was fine and should record audio without a problem. But all of a sudden it stopped working at all, at least for the record there. When I'm in Skype calls, my microphone seems to work because I can be heard. But when I try and save, my microphone is not working. I record with Fraps and tried a lot of different options within the system itself. I tried "His file Win7" stereo and surround, and two of them did not work. I even went to Skype call testing service to see if my microphone still worked, and when it reproduces the audio I could hear myself using the microphone. Please help me because I don't know what the problem is!

  Edit: Forgot to say that I tried to record with no microphone but the eternal mic and I have all his be picked up when recording, but when I tested it with Skype, I could hear audio.

  Re Edit: So I tried later and tested with my microphone and could not hear any audio, but when I used the computer's microphone, I could hear audio! So that leads me to believe that my mic is broken, but I can't be sure.

  Here, in this scenario, this could be a problem with the hardware or driver issues. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

• Setting bit rate in Wav format?

  Something odd came on my desk this week, my manager came to me with a request for me to look at an audio file (society for our telephone hold music) and he complies with the required parameters. I finished this task even a year ago but I don't remember how I was able to export the files meet the required parameters. I am familiar with audio, as I work with video on a daily basis, but I'll be the first to admit that ive spent a lot less time on audio and visual media, so I'm sure that many of you will know more about what I have.

  Could someone guide me on how I could adjust the bitrate to a Wav file. Currently I only see sampling rate when you export a Wav in Adobe Audition CC and CC of the SOUL.

  Here are the conditions: (the bitrate is the only thing that seems off to me)

  

  Flow is just sampling rate x Bit depth x No.Channels of uncompressed wav PCM file. 8000 x 16 x 1 = 128000 = 128 Kbps. Then save your .wavs under 16-bit 8 kHz Mono.

  I'm looking how to save a document in a custom format.

  When registering a .tga I use:

  PSapp.ActiveDocument.SaveAs (output, tgaSaveOptions, psExtensionType.psLowercase, false);

  What I want is to save in a customized format that is not in the list of available SaveOptions.

  The format I want to save is a specific .tga: NW4C_TGA (file owner format) there several options specific to the economy of this format.

  When I save a file by hand in the display save as Photoshop dialog box, it displays the custom list format and I can select and configure the options.

  It's because I put the NW4C_Tga.8bi file in the directory of Plug-ins for photoshop.

  How can I access these custom by the script format?
