    Hello

You can do this, but we need to change the registry. If you are comfortable with editing the registry, see the following documentation.

How to exclude elements of Taskbar pinning and recent/frequent lists (Windows):

    Concerning

  • pin the start menu website

There are three sites listed in my Start Menu that are incorrectly typed. Attempts to remove them as usual absolutely no results. They just sit there, constantly, aggravatingly using space that I prefer to use for something else.

Is it possible to withdraw outside the right click and click on delete from the list that does not work on this pc.

Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Hi again!

Please start by back up the registry. How you do that, that is described here: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/ht/backup-registry-windows-7.htm

Then, create a restore point. How you do that, that is described here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/create-a-restore-point
Now you can try it without risk of finding the registry entry.
Type regedit in the search in the start menu and choose regedit.exe by clicking on it.
You are now in the registry editor.
On the left side under the computer, click on the small arrow next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER to expand a list of items. Search for software and to extend it again by clicking on the small arrow next to him. Now search Microsoft, it redevelop and image search for Windows. Expand it and look for the current Version. Expand it and seek to explore. Expand it and look for Startpage2.
Note: on the bottom of the window, the following path should now appear: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage2

Now, left-click on the 2 home page and search Favorites in the right part of the window. Click on, and then choose delete all values starting with 'Favorites '.

Now your StartMenu must be empty, and you can begin to pin anything you want here.

    I hope this helps!

    See you soon

  • Vista - Control Panel in the start menu right

    Hello

Can someone help me answer to my problem?

I can't open the shortcut to the music files and photo on the right of the start menu panel?  If there is a way I can recreated the shortcut?  Maybe I delete the original folder that's why I can't use the shortcut.  even I re-create the folder of not too... I try

    don't worry.

    Thank you...

    Hello

Sounds like the shortcut has been damaged (do you use a registry cleaner on this system?). Try this: right-click the taskbar, click Properties. On the start menu tab, click Customize. For music and images, check the radial box to not display this element. Apply/ok your way out, then restart the system normally. Now, reverse the steps to add them in the menu and see if there is no change.

  • Why I can't find & pin to start menu (Win7 x 64) Clipboard.exe?

What is the file name of "Cipboard.exe" in Windows 7 x 64?  And it's ok to pin it to start again?

(please don't tell me she's everything changed)  Used Sticky Notes briefly a few weeks back; hum Ho.

Excuse my ignorance.  Capable enough to some things!

The Clipboard is in Windows 7, but there is no request to see.

When you copy a text, etc. it will to the Clipboard and allows you to paste what is copied somewhere else, like XP.

  • How to search for "Mail (32-bit)" (Control Panel) on the Start Menu?

I would like to be able to hit the Start button and type Mail and then be able to open the Control Panel item «Mail (32-bit)»

Now when I click on start and type Mail I only search for items in the downloads section, but Panel does not appear. When I open the control panel and tap "Mail", I see the article of mail (32 bit).
    Thank you!

As an alternative, go to Control Panel , and then change the view by [in the top right] the categories large icons or small iconsview.

In doing so, the entry of mail will always appear when you open the Control Panel in the future.

You can, if you wish, just right-click on the mail entry & select Create shortcut.  This is put on your desktop, but you can then move it somewhere else more convenient for you.

  • When I open the control panel from the start menu, it disappears in the background

Can someone help me with this?

If this problem occurs only in recent times, please do a system restore.
Choose a date where you did not have this problem as your restore point.

Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, click
    > Next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

If this does not help, please follow these steps:

    1. make sure that the computer is virus-free
    Use Malwarebytes:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/ ... choose the free version.

2 run a file system check to ensure that none of the corrupted files.
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-SFC-command.html

    3. run a disk check for corruption and possibly fix the mistakes and bad
    sectors on the hard disk.

Start button > Search box, type cmd >
Look up, right-click on cmd.exe > Run As Administrator > in the black and white window, at the command prompt flashes, type chkdsk/f/r > press the Enter key.
"Note: there is a space between"
    CHKDSK' and ' / '.
The screen will say something like cannot do it now, but you want to run it on reboot. Click on 'y' as in Yes > press >
    Output of cmd window.
Restart your computer. It will take a while.
DO NOT stop the machine. Just wait.

    Hello

The port microphone or line is not because you are looking for this audio * output parameters.
The microphone is a device of entry so it s not who listed there.

If you go into the volume settings > options > properties you can switch to HD Audio input.
Now you can change the volume of the microphone! :)

  • Pin a network to the start menu shortcut

Everyone figured out how to pin a netwrok to the start menu shortcut?  I tried to do it the way they say it, right click and select PIN to start menu, but the option is not there for programs on the network.  I was able to find Documents and Settings/User/StartMenu and I dropped the military in there, but they are not yet appearing on the start menu.  Help, please.
    Thank you
    Jessica

Create a folder on your desktop called networking programs or files, and then drag the icons for the files or programs in there.  You can then create a new toolbar by right-clicking on the taskbar, go to toolbars and add the new toolbar.  From there, all just point to your folder on your desktop and the appropriate files will appear in your taskbar tasks.  It's not pretty, but it works.
