Vs hard drive 640 GB Serial ATA 320 GB-7200 RPM, STAT 3.0 Gb/s, 16 MB Cache

I am watching the XPS 420 system and trying to determine if the performance of these two drives are the same.

There the 640GO disk cache 16 MB healthy of mind as the 320 GB drive? 640GO there rate 3.0 Gb/s as the 320 GB drive?

Thank you!

  • Installed hard drives data recovery serial

As many other users on these boards, by X 205 won't start.

My question: How can I recover the data on my hard drive, since there are two of them?

I ran a search to find all the files I wanted (*.jpg in this case) and the search came back with hundreds of files (pictures) that I'm trying to recover... but it wont let me open them.
I guess because the disks are installed in this machine series, somehow, I need to find a way to read them both to access these files?

    Any help is appreciated!

Remove each disk of the machine, connect using 2.5 SATA box at the other PC as external device and you should have access to all stored data.

If you have formatted the drive E, it is unlikely that you will be able to recover anything that was on him.

You can copy the data files on drive E and then after copying, delete the files that you copied from the C drive.  If you format the drive C or the erase, and then the computer no longer work, as the operating system resides on the C drive.

I suggest that you start by start. Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Cleaning disc and after run to see how much space is available.  After that, copy large data files (music, video, images) in the E drive and then you can delete the C drive.  But if something happens to drive E (as reformat you) what will be lost.

  • Hard drives local to the host server, 10 k rpm or 15 k?

Looking at the addition of a couple of hosts "workaholic" into our environment vsphere for some SQL database applications. Is there an advantage to the esx server hosts on 15 k disks running over 10 k?

We use a mixture of San fibre channel/iscsi to all data warehouses, so this isn't for the vm comments just for the esx install.

Just curious to know what you guys are running, and if you see performance gains overall with faster disks to the host install.

    Thank you

    Kevin

If the disks are only for the accommodation of the operating system, there is not need to spend money for fast readers. You can even run the hypervisor of a patient USB or SD card.

  • The DM1z hard drive upgrade

    Hello

I want to improve my DM1Z Notebook PC configured with hard drive of 320 GB/7200 RPM-64-bit Windows 7 to 750 GB.

I read in the specifications that the hard drives compatible with this camera are:

    • 750 GB-5400 RPM
    • 640 GB 5400 RPM
    • 500 GB, 7200 RPM
    • 320 GB, 7200 RPM
    • 250 GB, 7200 RPM

Is there a technical reason why this unit does not support hard drives 640 GB and 750 GB at 7200 RPM?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Fortunately, it will support hard disks that you mention at 7200 RPM, even if the compromise is a little less time battery and a little more heat (but really nothing significant).

    Kind regards

    laurencewithau

    Hello @laurencewithau,

I understand that you are looking to upgrade the hard drive on your desktop computer, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

According to the Specifications of the product, you can update your system with any size of drive hard as much as it meets the following requirements:

    1. It has a SATA port connection
    2. The male power connector corresponds to the insertion on the replacement hard drive
    3. It is the same physical size as the previous hard disk. If it is less, you can always purchase a mounting bracket on the space difference.

For more information about upgrading the hard drive, please take a look at this resource on installing or replacing a hard drive.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

  • Can satellite A100 - I put the HARD drive with 7200 RPM model?

    Hello

I have a Satellite A100-044, I would spend my the 120 GB HARD drive to a more large (250 GB or 320 GB).

A 7200 RPM would work on this subject? It seems Web compatibility sites they show 5400 RPM more, I would like to set up my laptop for recording/mastering so music wants a fast machine, I don't really mind if it consumes more energy...

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you
    Stone

    Hello!

Of course, you can swap the HARD drive with a model more fast using 7200 RPM. But as you say, it takes a little more energy. The new HARD drive should be a little faster, especially access time should be lower.

250 GB or 320 GB should be possible; you need a HARD drive with SATA interface.

    I hope I could help a bit.

    Good bye

  • Compatible hard drives for the Presario 6350US with XP operating system

Hi all.  Great support so far!

Replaced the motherboard with a purchased on eBay, and it works very well.

In my quest continues for speed and "new and improved", and because it is now 11 years old, I am looking to replace my old hard drive.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you wb2001,

A note aside before my supplementary question: Pavlov studies were on classical conditioning.  He used the meat powder in the dogs mouth to stimulate salivation canine combined with the sound of a Bell when the dogs became finally conditioned.  Once conditioned, the dogs would salivate upon hearing the Bell.  What you describe with the reward for behavior is the conditioning operating.  So what you want to say in the future be more precise, it's "I believe in right to Skinner" like B.F. Skinner.

Be-that-as-TI-may, stick to your reference to Pavlov for now wb2001, you're a good answer away from getting the meat powder.

    (1) I replace a HDD of 80 GB, 127 GB would be just peachy.

    (2) I know that XP is to be DX would be next year.  Being attached financial short term, I just need this machine to putter along until the end of this year.

    (3) so I'm looking for a refurbished drive EIDE/Ultra style on eBay or Amazon, etc.

Is there something else that I would like to know to get an EIDE/Ultra player that will adapt, be compatible and the fastest runner of the old dinosaurs?

    Added 27/09/13:

You are looking for on eBay, I find some potential hard disks.  Please answer the questions following multiple-choice question.  If you get it right, right of Skinner, your needs will be satisfied immediately:

  • Looking to upgrade a hard drive on DV6226us?

As mentioned above, I currently have a HP dv6226us notebook. It has a 120 GB hard drive. I would switch to a 7200 RPM 320 GB hard drive so I don't have to carry an external (much music for DJs and karaoke). I was wondering if the motherboard accept something greater than 120 GB drives. The player currently in the computer is a Toshiba MK1234GXS sata 1.5 gb/s, and this, as I understand, you can select up to 1.5 Gbit/s on these new 3.0 Gbps compatible hard drives. However, I am having a hard time finding information about the question to know if my laptop will accept a larger drive as a fujitsu MHZ2320BJ-G2? If anyone can help it will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I also want to mention that my laptop did not come with advertised processor. In fact, it came with a processor more! He was supposed to come with an Intel T2060, but he did a T2250? Not complaining does not, but could perhaps mean that I have a different motherboard as well? As you might be able to tell, I'm not the most savvy about this, but I'm learning. Thanks for the help.
