vSphere 5, vCSA, View Manager and Secure Gateway
Hello world
I need some advice...
A new vSphere infrastructure situation 5:
No.... the vCenter and view managed use 'ADAM' which is AD in user mode and is not compatible with an AD domain controller.
You need at least 3 Server Wiindows (DC 1 AD + DNS + DHCP, 1 vCenter + music, 1 View Manager)

Something about View Manager and Administrator display
Hi all
I refer to the following site for the new architecture for VMware view Horizon 5.2. I found there is no display manager in the list of components.
VMware view Horizon site Administration told me that we can add server vCenter for View Manager via the administrator view Instances.
I wonder what View manager is and what is a subcomponent or a view to connect to the Server service? And what is the difference between the Manager and view
Administrator?
'View Manager' is simply the old name of the VMware View Horizon product. The iteration of names was something like;
VMware Virtual Desktop Manager 2.0
VMware View Manager 3.0
VMware View 4.0-> 5.1
VMware View 5.2 horizon
Looks like the doc team has not changed this reference yet.
It should read "we can add server vCenter instances to view through the view administrator.

Horizon view connection and security server matching
Hello friends,
I need some clarification on security and the matching server connection. If I understand well earlier in login server and security versions matching is one-to-one.
Is this same behavior on the Horizon 6 as well? I can read that we can connect several Security Server single instance to connect to the server. But the reverse is possible yet? What are the combinations is achievable or supported?
Documentation centre for Horizon 6 version 6.1
still one by one,
If you need high availability just add another server of connection and pair it with another security server

Question questions Apple ID management and security
Tponging, on my iPhone, a message appeared on the screen to say that my ID was used to connect to iMessages and FaceTime on my "ipad3. I don't have a device called 'ipad3', so I was naturally suspicious. First question - can you be spammed by screen pop up? It wasn't an email but a message on the screen that displayed randomly.
So I decided, to be on the safe side, I try and change my Apple ID. I managed to access the page "manage your Apple ID", but after several attempts to try to guess the answers to the questions of ID I do not even create, I was told I had used "too many attempts and now my account is blocked." I tried after contact with advice from Apple on another post on the forum, but the contact for the United Kingdom led to a page that says ' we are not available right now, please try again later ". So how can second question - I get my account now? It seems that if there has been a breach of security, spammers have done a better job than me to break the security of Apple! Help, please...
Yes, the fake pop ups are possible in Safari, but it is unlikely for this message. There is no advantage to any con man, unless he directed you to a Web site or dial a phone number.
You should directly contact the apple Support, starting with the link contact Apple at the bottom of this page.

Process management and security roles
Hi guys,.
I haven't worked with security too, and now I have to set the users who will be linked to the cycle of process management. Is there a specific role for each phase? All phases are necessary?
Thank you!
Anna
Hi Anna,.
I think that the first and most important step in your task is to understand the information flows through your organization. Ask your customers/users how the flow of information would have been had they not HFM. Design a couple of cards and have your clients sign this process is very important in my experience.
As soon as you understand what roles of company should deliver/review of information for the next role of business, then start designing HFM processes management.
- The first level of process management is the road. At this level no user cannot import data except the administrator
- The second level of process management is the first pass. At this level all users can enter data without restriction.
- The third level of the management of the process is the levels of review. You have 10 levels of review by submission. However, a five-level review is enough for most organizations. Consider the most complex multilevel review process. My personal opinion is that the 4 levels of review are good enough for the majority of organizations. RL1, the inputer will enter data to the RL2, the Director of finance will review the data, RL3 hub/region Director will review the data and finally to RL4 users group will review the data.
- Level 4 review I mentioned, can be the substitute of the next set of levels that is present, approve, and publish. The status "publish" will allow the entity to block which means that not even the administrator will not be able to change the data or calculate l‟entite.
There are many combinations of how you can configure process management, so if you have any questions please let us know.
Kind regards
Thanos

Disable the protocols and encryption algorithms in VMware View connection server and security
Hello
In my recent deployment, I had a customer request to disable some protocols and encryption at the Server VMware View connection and security. I read some articles and found that this has been achieved by editing the locked.properties file. But when we have edited and replaced the file, users could not connect to the virtual desktop, so came back to us backwards and desktop computers worked fine.
I found a few articles that we don't need to edit the locked.properties file in VMware view Horizon 6. If someone has done this please guide me through. Here are the details of the protocols and encryption algorithms that should be disabled
Diffie-Hellman key
Enable SSL v2/V3 and TLS 1.1 and 1.2
Disable the RC4 encryption algorithm
Select the secret of transfer (if possible)
VMware view 6 is the connection to the server and security server.
Thank you.
Hello
I implemented the following steps (from the manual):
1. update the JCE policy files to take in charge the high-strength Cipher Suites
You can add some cipher suites of high resistance for greater assurance, but first you must update the local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar files to each server instance and the security strategy for JRE 7 see connection to the server. You update these policy files by downloading the files to extend JCE (Java Cryptography) unlimited strength political jurisdiction from the Oracle Java SE download site 7.
If you include some high-strength cipher suites in the list and you do not replace the policy files, you cannot restart the VMware view Horizon connection to the Server service.
Policy files are located in the directory C:\Program View\Server\jre\lib\security from VMware.
For more information on the download of the JCE unlimited strength jurisdiction policy 7 files, see the Oracle Java SE download site: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.
After you update the policy files, you need to create backups of the files. If you upgrade the instance of the view connection server or security server, any changes you have made to these files can be replaced, and you may need to restore the backup files.
2. the changes that policies of global acceptance with ADSI Edit
- Start the ADSI utility on your computer see connection to the server.
- In the console tree, select Connect to
- In the selection or type a unique name text box or a naming context, type the unique name
DC, DC = vdi is vmware, DC = int. - In the type or select a text field or the server box, select or type localhost: 389 or the name of a fully qualified domain (FQDN) of the server computer to connect to port 389 followed view.
For example: localhost: 389 or mycomputer.mydomain.com:389
- Expand the tree of the ADSI Editor, OU = properties, select OU = Global, then select OU = common in the right pane.
- On the object CN = common, Global = UO, UO = properties, select each attribute that you want to change and enter the new list of security protocols or cipher suites.
I used the following settings:
EAP-ServerSSLCipherSuites: \LIST:TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA256
EAP-ServerSSLSecureProtocols_ \LIST:TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2
It is not the highest possible, but they work with all the features of our customers.
- Restart the service of VMware view Horizon connection server (server connection and security).
This is not Activate secret transfer (if possible) , but other points are covered.
If anyone can give a tip to activate the transfer secret, I would be grateful.

VMware View Manager requirements
Dear all,
No idea what requirements (hardware/software) to implement the VDI / VMware View?
Thank you.
for VMware View Manager, the installation is done on a W2k3 Server (can be a virtual machine). You can download a trial which has
VMware ESX 3.5
VMware vCenter Server
VMware View Manager
VMware View deal
Since you already have ESX, you just need vCenter (if you haven't) View Manager and composer (if you use linked clones)
In addition, you can consult the Administrator's guide, it will give you instructions on how to configure the display.

I created a custom with the 172.16.1.177 value rule (it's my client internal windows7).
When I navigate to the internal url (fqdn's secure gateway server) I bypassed (tsdebug shows no sslgateway). But now I want to use 1 internal and external URL to type the same URL.
Now when I navigate to an external URL of the machine internal with above ip I always get through security gateway, I see a SSLGatewayHi Erik,
I think that this has been fixed in our latest version 8.5 - documents.software.dell.com/DOC252107
Please download and upgrade your farm and let us know if you still see this problem.
If you do, it may be best to save a service request so that we can see exactly what is happening.
Thanks, Sam

Ideas:
- When I print, the photo viewer rises and am OBLIGED to print from that program. The problem is, that it does not work - the colors are inverted and incorrect. All attempts to correct in the color management failed. Some images are color reversed negatively. and others not when the print window picture viewer options are increasing. and every time I print a normal color on the picture he reverse out come.
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have already tried to solve the problem
didn't work :/
==============================================
It may be interesting to try to remove all color profiles in the color management.Windows 7 - change color management settings

Good luck...

View 4.6 and security server
The Security Server and the connection must be in different local networks?
I installed a DEMO, both for the same cause of LAN, there is no real DMZ there.
Servers are 2008 r2 64-bit, I opened the 4172 ports and 443 to j.4 server,
When clients connect to the connection to the server or the security gateway, they can connect to the virtual desktop, but trying to connect on the internet, there is a problem, the client can connect to the Security Server and enter the credentials, but trying to connect to the office virtual has a white screen and after a few seconds will appear an error message 'the connection to the remote computer has done '.
Is this the same local network, which is the problem here? or something else that i'm missing?
Another thing, the FW performed the NAT to the Security Server, in the fields of configuration to the Security Server, I put the public ip address.
Thank you
They can be on the same local network.
You get the symptoms you see if you have not done all 3 installation steps correctly.
Most people on this forum who suffer from what you see remedy through each of the 3 steps of Setup again very carefully.

View Composer or View Manager need most of the CPU and network?
Hello
I intend to start experimenting with the customers see 6-8 to find the notion of vView...
I installed View Manager to a virtual machine: (x 64) svr Win2008 connected to the same subnet that all thin clients in the view are connected. My VCenter server where I installed View Composer works to a dedicated old (physical) (x 64) svr Win2008 connected to the view Manager / computer thinclient subnet via a 100 Mbps firewall.
More traffic view CPU and network for thin clients would be the composer or Manager? I wonder if the 100 Mbps "bottleneck" and the former composer server hardware will be a problem. Or it's okay with such a low customer account...?
Second, the View Composer installer asked a database connection. He would be allowed to use the same (SQL Express?) as the Installer installed VCenter? If Yes, where can I find information about how to create a composer under SQL Express database...?
Thanks for the comments on these issues
Best regards
Tor
Customers of 40-50 reviews could be possible in SQL express without a lot of questions. Go through your response, it is clear that the subnet22 is the network that will be using the network more than any other w.r.t. view desktops. (and your assumption is right).
The network configuration in the ESX to connect virtual machines to the Subnet22, this is called VMNetwork
User name by default and passoword for the SQLExpress will be the account used to connect and install the server vCenter in windows machine (it is windows authentication). You can connect as below.
- Download and install SQL Management Studio from the microsoft Web site in the virtual center host operating system
- Open SQL studio, then click on connect, the server name is "localhost\SQLEXP_VIM" and select windows authentication
- This way you can manage SQL express and create the new database.
- You can also view the DSN for vcenter server which automatically created during installation
Most of the VirtualCener servers are VMs I believe, but according to my understanding, both are very popular.
Defenitly peacekeeping vCenter in VM have a lot of benefits and felxibilities.
Thank you
