  • HP envy 23-c110xt all-in-one: mulitple monitor set up

I have a hp envy all-in-one computer... is possible to add another monitor... If this is how... I have an emachine monitor

    Hey @camcord2,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are looking for information on the connection of a secondary screen to your CRAVING 23-c110tx all-in-One PC. According to the specifications of the motherboard used in this model there is no video output port. There are third-party companies who manufacture USB adapters that can convert a USB to DVI, HDMI or VGA, but is not something of what HP specializes in the so I can't provide any information other than to let you know that they exist and could be worth looking at.

Hope this helps to put you in the right direction.

  • When you activate a secondary monitor, setting doesn't "stick".

I have a video card Radeon HD 3800, with double connections monitor HDMI and a TV out connection.  I am running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.  I have my main monitor, a standard CRT, on the first HDMI adapter.  I'm trying to connect a second display (TV) TV-out output.  When I go into the display properties, I see two screens, but '2' is grayed out.  I see also two views listed in the drop-down list box.  When I select the second screen and check the box "extend my desktop...". ", he asks me if I want to apply these settings, so I clikc Yes.  But a second after I do it, it is up to the '2' grayed 'disabled' State.  The TV is connected properly.  By using the ATI Catalyst software, that I meet the same problem trying to activate the second screen.  It will, however, let me change the main display of the monitor to television.  It's ok, but then the monitor is disabled.  I'm trying to get both at the same time, either with TV as a mirror (preferred) or simply and extension of my office.  TV-Out function obviously work, but Windows will not let me turn on the second screen.  What is going on?  I was initially using the default Windows driver for my graphics card, but it did not work.  Then I downloaded the latest ATI driver and catalyst, dated 4/2009 and it still does not work.

    Hi Herrbach,

I take a look at the video card that you mentioned, there are two DVI outputs and you can use converters to change to HDMI.  I think what Anthony outputs use DVI instead of TV output.  We'll go to your monitor CTR and other DVI will go to TV.

  • HP Elitebook 840 G1: Newbie Question: how to set up two monitors for HP Elitebook and Ultraslim Dock

I have therefore two monitors EliteDisplay E231 that I would use to set up a dual display screen. They have all two cables to VGA connection, but unfortunately the ultraslim dock has only a VGA port on the back. I tried to plug in the dock and the other to the computer itself, but that has not worked.

How can I go on the establishment of a dual monitor set up? Is this possible?

I am slot as Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Intel 64 bit pc with a screen HD Dell I5 and Intel HD graphics 4600 driver.  PC woke up a few hours of inactivity, after no updates known to windows or other programs, with icons and pages double size beyond the limits of the monitor, setting the low resolution and Device Manager showing ' no generic pnp monitor low resolution ' instead of 'Monitor Dell HD' and no option to increase the resolution.  No help with reset, not restoration, disconnection and reconnection monitor auto plug n Play, 'Search new device', 'add a device', update of the graphics driver, reinstall the drivers from the Dell monitor.  Troubleshooting peripheral reported to date and working correctly.  After I finally uninstalled driver restarted, and graphic displays "default monitor" Device Manager (no longer "generic low resolution"), no graphics driver identified, but don't allow me to change to a higher resolution.  New windows had to be individually size / expanded to fill the screen.  This can be corrected?  I want to optimize my display settings for this monitor.  I have reinstall my graphics driver or just be happy that I can use my computer?  Thank you.

Call Dell.  Your monitor should have a 3-year warranty.  Your matching OptiPlex with a warranty of one year more.

Also, check all the hidden and invisible buttons on the monitor.  Someone may have inadvertently changed one of these.

  • How to set up two monitors with screen LCD and HDTV on computer that is running Windows 7

Issues of identity and position monitor

I use a LCD and an HD TV on my computer. I have HDTV mounted to my left on the wall in my room and the LCD is on my desk in front of me. I have my monitor set as my main screen and HDTV as secondary. Windows identifies the HDTV as monitor 1 and my screen LCD 2. After starting the computer they work very well as they should. My problem is during the boot process. When the computer starts, it displays only the boot screen/POST on monitor 1 (HDTV) but not my main screen #2 (LCD). This is a problem when I don't have my HDTV now, I don't see the MESSAGE options. I don't want to always have my HDTV and crane my neck every time I need to change the BIOS settings or use the MESSAGE options. Is there any solution for this?

    Hi Darth Polizei,

I hope that's not redundant but did you try to set your monitor 19 "as the main display?

    1. In the screen resolution window, you click the icon of the monitor that represents the secondary monitor.
    2. You click to select the "Make my main screen" check box, and then click OK.
    3. You log out of the computer.
    4. You log on to the computer.

  • HP Omni 200 PC: Computer configured for HD TV as a second monitor

I am trying to use my HD TV as a second monitor set up my TV.  My goal is to watch movies from my PC to the TV.  The Omni 200 does not have VGA or HDMI connections.  So I tried to use a 3 USB to HDMI adapter with a long (25') HDMI Cable that I connected to one of the HDMI ports on the TV for my video output.  When I tried to detect the TV as a second monitor, I got a blue screen stating my PC was a dump of data and downtime.  Maybe it's that HDMI cards drivers were not really designed to win 10.  actually, the box said it was for Win 7, 8 and Vista, but the provider told me it would work to win 10.  They insured, in fact I got the driver for Win 10 that I installed, but with my PC crashed anyway.

I'm now considering a 3 USB to VGA instead - and using a long VGA cable to connect to my PC - it has a female connector VGA built in my opinion this solution would work.  And I would use a divider audio stereo 3.5 mm cable to connect a left and right RCA audio cable to the TV.

Someone has an opinion on the question of whether I'd be successful before I buy these cables?  Thank you. Dan

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

According to the Specifications of the motherboard , there are 2 - USB 2.0 and 1.0 on your computer 5 - USB ports.  Here is a video card that can allow you to connect to your TV.  I suggest you contact the manufacturer's Technical Support to make sure it works before buy you.  This will save send back if this does not work.  I do it myself before you buy all new components.  Therefore, it is difficult to know what works today.  Technology changes so quickly.

  • The executable value to run on 3 monitor

I am trying to set up a series of executable to run on a full-screen especially several system monitor.

I need to be able to tell LabVIEW that monitor to run, even if my development PC has only a single monitor.

I * have * to be able to make that choice on my single-monitor workstation - I set up a second monitor to get that to work, but extending beyond which defeats the purpose of having a workstation. Similarly, muliple control system should * not * need to installed development system, and I should * not * have to do the actual compilation on the multi-screen system. The boss sees this as something fundamental that any programming language must be able to do it - he said thay my workstation should not four monitors in order for me to tell an executable file to run full screen on a second, third, fourth, twentith, monitor etc.

Unfortunately, the only way I know in LabVIEW to assign a non-primary monitor to an executable of fullscreen is through 'properties of the vi', and which only allows access to the monitors set up on the [i] current [/ i] PC. It is a major problem; It must be configurable somehow, [i] using only the tools provided by LabVIEW [/ i] (again, the boss speak here).

my boss is to be very strict about it, because it is rightly worried about losing face. If we cannot do it in LabVIEW, if we cheat it somehow and our clients ask us how we did / competitors show that we could not have done in LabVIEW, and we say "This Visual graphical programming langauge, we could not do this basic thing, so we had to do otherwise. They rightly ask why we use LabVIEW at all, which is not something we want to hear.

I tried to configure multiple monitors in windows XP, but it doesn't work - I can not change the numbering / order, or if I can, I do not know how and there is no documentation anywhere that provides for any help or suggestion. I am frustrated and annoyed and under some pressure. Help, please.

    Hi Bob,

You can set the property 'FrontPanelWindow:Monitor' for each VI. Then you should be able to pass a VI to another monitor.

When you present the settings GUI to the user, it can choose a non-existent monitor. You can only decide which monitor to use as (with software): UserSelect = 3, available = 2-> choose Monitor 2 instead of 3...

  • connect AC511 SoundBar hollow hub USB of Dell U2414H Monitor

    Hello

I m ussing U2414H monitor (over HDMI) and currently got the SoundBuffer for she.
I understend that connectign the Soundbar in the monitor does no point but it is possible to
link to the monitor to the PC USB hub and then connect media devisess (bar sound, usb, headphone, usb, mouse etc.) directly on the screen?

And in case where possible which cable / slot I use to bridge the gap.

    Thank you

Yes possible to connect the hub on the screen but you then attach a standard USB cable to the Hub on the monitor at the back of the PC.  Its the same B cable that is used for printer A/USB cable etc.  You must make sure that windows is set to sound on USB Audio not the analog channel output.

My mouse pointer is captured on the 2nd monitor when the windows media center window is maximized on this screen. I can return the mouse to the main screen when the window of the wmc is reduced.

    Hi ijeff:

One option is to move the Media Center window on the second monitor, and then expand the window to fill as much of the screen as possible by dragging an edge to the outside.  You can fill most of the screen that also and always use the mouse on each monitor.  The other option is to try pressing ALT + TAB to release the mouse in the Media Center window.  I think that worked in MCE2005, but currently I don't have a dual monitor set up to see if it still works.  Good luck!
