W4 - 820 freezes from time to time
Hello
I just noticed that my Tablet Windows 8.1 W4-820 "freeze" sometimes: for example, the Metro UI maintains the response, but the rest of the applications take ages to open (email client, Internet explorer, the settings even). Meanwhile, it is hardly possible to start Task Manager to see is there any 'bad' running process.
Anyone have similar problems?
Hello
Thanks for the point! I downloaded 1.16 drivers and installed. Setup noticed that drivers in a system "newer or the same ', but I decided to go ahead.
Installation took literally about 40 minutes (very slowly - it was like PC becomes 100 times slower), but ended up with a few mistakes.
Finally, I gave up and launched a full factory by Acer Recovery Management reset. Have no idea what has been a problem. Lets see how it will be after the reset.

Satellite L855-123 freezes from time to time
Hello
My laptop freezes from time to time, especially just after that is (re) starts. Most of the time the audio or the video freezes for a few seconds (any program I use), it affects everything else too (for example, when music freezes, google chrome will act weird as well), but I am able to move as much as I please.
In Event Viewer, there is a lot of "iastor, id: 9" since the 20th of this month (the day all gel started to happen). But as of yesterday, it seems to be have been replaced by "atapi, id: 11» I don't have any new software before all this happened?
I looked around and tried a couple things that have helped others: off Link State Power Management; made sure all drivers have been updated; Uninstall Intel Rapid Storage Technology. Nothing seems to work here however.
If all goes well, there is something else I could try before I have to go through the hassle of reinstalling windows 7 or get new hardware.
Thank you.
I guess you do not reproduce this problem of gel.
It very difficult to talk about issues that cannot be reproduced or occur occasionally. But you mentioned the 'file iastor in your ad.
Iastor belongs to the Intel AHCI / RAID or SATA driver package. So I think that the problem is related to the HARD drive or the HARD disk controller.
I recommend you update Intel® Matrix Storage Manager and Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver to the latest version (check page Intel). If this is insufficient, recover laptop using Toshiba recovery disc.
In case this is not enough, you should check if the internal HARD drive might be the occasional reason for this system of freezing. -

Hello Akash,
Thanks for the reply.
As you said, after completing the scan found SFC, you get an error message indicating that there is corruption but was not repaired. Then, please follow the following suggestions to solve the problem.

video in fullscreen makes computer freeze from time to time
Recently, my computer started to glitch during playback of videos and sometimes even in music. When the video is full-screen every minute half-minute or so it will freeze for a few seconds, causing the audio quickly repeating sound like a 'd.d.d.d.d.d.d' that lasts a few seconds and then play the movie as usual. When I reduce the video so it does not have the full screen it time very well provided that this is under a certain size. When this product problem however it freezes the computer as even the mouse still motionless and then jump to a new location once the computer resumes. I don't think that this is a problem with the CPU or everything that I tried to run several large programs and max on the CPU and it won't. Sometimes, it will however while that a video youtube as well. I checked my card graph and other drivers and they are all up to date, the only thing I found which could be the cause is Health Center says Windows "Intel Graphics Driver has stopped working" I tried using the problem solver is but there is not a solution for this and I reinstalled the drivers anyway and he's always done. I don't know if this is the problem or not, however, like the date, he says that this problem has occurred does not correspond with me trying it to watch videos. I would also like to add that this problem happens more frequently when I watch the movie then using VLC with windows media player. A movie on VLC, I played was actually almost constantly, while Windows Media Player played the film very well. Although, as I said, Windows Media Player still does from time to time as well and I tried reinstalling VLC and loaded a completely new player to see if it was her and she is always natural. I have not downloaded programs that I could create a conflict either. In any case, I'm at a loss and if this problem is not indeed my computer use normal it doesn't stop me from watching movies I really love so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Hello
1. may I know the version of the Windows operating system you have? It's windows XP, Vista, Windows 7?
2. you receive an error message?
3. What is the RAM in your computer?
4 is limited to a particular video format?
I suggest the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1: I suggest you to put the computer in a clean boot state.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below for more details:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows 7:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps in the section above to reset the computer to start as usual.
Method 2: the System File Checker (SFC) utility allows administrators to perform an analysis of all protected resources to make sure they are the correct version. Whether SFC should find all incorrect versions in one of these protected resources, SFC will be replaced by the correct versions.
To run a scan suite SFC as follows:

Method 3: contact your factory of the computer to update the graphics drivers.

Can someone tell me what to do? What is the problem?
Should I take it back and get a new one?TNX
Hello!
It is not easy to say what is the reason for this problem, but I think this could be a problem of the RAM or the motherboard.
In your case, I would check the RAM with Memtest86:
[www.memtest86.com]Did you install the laptop with the Toshiba recovery disc or disc of Microsoft?
Maybe reinstall Windows might also solve the problem. Try it.Good bye

HP 15-5020ca omen: Omen HP 15-5020ca freezes from time to time
Hello
I have a problem with the gel for laptop. It happens every 15-60 minutes and it hangs for 10-15 seconds. During this time the computer does not respond. After this, he worked as usual until it happens again. In the system event log, there are still two events added after each move:Storahci, ID 129
\Device\RaidPort0, restore the device, has been published.Disc ID 153
The operation of e/s to the logical block address * for disk 0 (the PDO name: \Device\00000035) was retried. This occurs during normal use of the computer, which means opening some applications, watch movies etc.
My laptop is guaranteed, so I contacted the service the customer of HP in Poland. After spending 2-3 hours on the phone trying to get help from consultants and to perform various actions such as reinstalling operating system, updating drivers, hardware tests, they decided to send mail and fix it by themselves. The first time, it took a week and the only thing they did was reinstall operating system... The second time they replaced the motherboard (at least they say, it has been replaced) and reinstalled the operating system. The problem still exists, and in my opinion they don't know what they are doing. After 4 months, faced with the question, I lost $2300, my patience and lots of time. Quo vadis HP?
Help much appreciated.

I like to play a lot of music on my laptop, but lately this strange keeps randomly which occur. It almosts seems the track froze upwards, but this isn't because he continues to play (like a disk scratched in a cd drive freeze?).
It's just from time to time, but it is very visible, especially when we played through my good external speakes. It occurs through the built-in speakers, standard headphones and external speakers.
I was wondering if one has ideas of what is and how can I solve this problem, because it's really annoying me.
Thank youYour ad is quite general and there is not a single relevant info that can help us understand the problem described.

HP ENVY 700-149 freezing several times (graphics card problem)
Hi, I bought a HP ENVY 700-149 days ago and right out of the box it freezes several times every 10-15 minutes that it is in use.
Indeed, it appears a little error box in the corner that says:
"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver display driver, Version 311.41 stopped responding and has successfully recovered. »Sometimes this box appears several times in a row (quickly) and the computer continues to operate, but more often it pops up this message and then the computer freezes and must be stopped and restarted manually.
In addition, it will crash occasionally to the 'blue' Windows screen with the message: "UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP" and the specific problem refers to "nvlddmkm.sys" which I googled and it has to do with the Nvidia graphics card as well. The installed (from the factory) graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 635 with 2 GB memory DDR3 dedicated.
I installed all the updates that are available for Windows 8 and have checked the Web of NVIDIA website for updates for the driver but nothing is available and the problem persists.
Can I do to solve this problem?
Hello
Your PC is under warranty. Not to be with an intermittent problem with a new PC.
HP support number is 800-474-6836 or 800-HPINVENT or online here.
HP has a 21 day return policy. After that, it's a warranty issue.

Windows 7 crashes from time to time
I use Windows 7 Enterprise edition Lenovo y 500 laptop. System crashes from time to time. Sometimes it freezes when you type in word / excel... Sometimes it freezes when idle (no activity is done). It happened several times and this experience, I think that is not casued by any specific program. Recent example is as a song is played in windows media player. The song ended and after two minutes hanged.
The machine is five years and is. There may be a lot of dust on the inside and on the fins of the CPU cooling. Dust can enter the RAM slots fits, so pulling on the plunger and brushing up on the lunges re-allocation places can improve the contact, but dust the rest before (not with a vacuum cleaner - use a brush or air) cleaning grooves and re-seats of the RAM.
82 c is quite high. While not enough to cook your cpu never machine go a lot of 60-70 ° C (day 30-C) under high load. Currently, mine is at 33 c (temperature ambient about 20 + C) and should peak at around 45 c under heavy load. While laptops do not have effective cooling as a PC
your processor runs at only 34W compared to my 95W cpu and would generate much less heat. What AV uses all your cpu? Monopoly$ ofts free "Security Essentials"
AV is good, so is Avast free home version.
BTW - I just ran Avast AV. It uses up to 50% of cpu (quad core, but I think that he moderates use according to the processor uses) and raised the temperature by C. 7
.
It can be misleading to think that some resources are not pointed at
the time of an accident that there is no link with when the use of resources was higher a few moments before. Use, or an event preceding the accident may have led to instability.Safe boot mode allows you to troubleshoot as not all services and drivers
are loaded in safe mode. If Windows is running on only the basics and
has problems, then you must look in the boot or start thinking about material defects (old machine - perhaps power or disk HARD 5 years).
Clean boot is similar, but helps many with the software that runs in the background when loading Windows and which may be in conflict with another software or just stealing resources (your AV).
Each open application uses at least a small amount of RAM, and with several open browsers or tabs you can soon use a good portion of your memory of 2 GB. -

My computer with two hard drives and 2 starting systems has the car crash in the solid state. When I got the new drive and tried to restore from time capsule, I lost some data. How can I see what backups are on the time capsule? My laptop is also saved to the time capsule. Everything is in 'Data' when I look through the Airport utility. I think that the information that I've lost are still there since I was a Capsule 3 to.
Time Machine backup to a sparsebundle.
The sparsebundle will use the share name of computer. So, it should be obvious who is your Macbook and that is your Macpro.
Open the sparsebundle in Finder and keep open the subfolders until you get to the backup of each separate hard drive...
You has of course set the exclusion in Time Machine?
By default, Time Machine will exclude your second drive unless you have included it. Did you?
Once you get to this level during the backup, you can do a full restore manually whenever you want.
