• HP Pavilion Elite HPE-150uk - do not start

  Hi, I have a new (two weeks) HP Pavilion Elite HPE-150uk.  When I turn it on it gets insofar as the HP screen and then stops.  If I switch off and again this topic usuall starts and goes into Windows.  Although occaisionally after a reboot, I find myself with a black screen for several minutes before Windows starts.

  Is there a cure for the PC stuck on the HP screen?

  This desktop computer has been through a number of operating systems and should now have 10 32-bit Windows (for other software support needs).  All right, except that it lacks drivers for connection to Ethernet (built-in) on board.

  I tried the approach of Windows Update, the "update driver" and search HP, Intel, QLogic and other places of Ethernet NIC and Chipset drivers... nothing fits or works.  The hard drive has long been wiped, so there is no recovery partition, nor do I still support discs. :-(

  Is the reported by Device Manager hardware ID: PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_164A & SUBSYS_3070103C & REV_02.  164 a same device does not appear on the pci database. :-(

  Yet once again, I need to Win10 - 32-bit (no 64 - bit).  Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.

  There are no W10 driver for this chip ethernet I can find.

  In fact, everything that I could find were drivers for Windows Server 2003 and 2008.

  HP doesn't even have driver Broadcom ethernet on your PC support page, and I couldn't find the site of Broadcom or the other.

  I explored the Broadcom file and there is no support drivers for the hardware ID you have posted in the file.

  So, the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the driver I compressed upwards and attached below.

  Download and uncompress the file in its folder.

  Don't do anything with the files in the folder.

  Go to Device Manager and click on the ethernet controller requiring driver.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the driver will install.

  I had a Toshiba Satellite L40 32 computer with vista preinstalled premium pieces. Once I managed to install XP in dual boot vista/xp thanks to vistabootpro. But my computer has been infected by a virus and because I couldn't clear it, I formatted my XP partition.

  I tried to reinstall windows XP, but in computer installation warmed me that there was a file that could not be installed and I choose to click 'ignore' and my computer started automatically on my vista operating system. I checked if it was not because my CD is not bootable, by nothing, because I use it on another computer to install vista.

Because PC world could not afford to keep replacing each time a computer laptop full and nobody could not afford to continue to pay £250 to get the screen fixed.

  They definetely support 64-bit, otherwise I think that ESX 4.0 could not run on that host.

  I tried to install the virtual first with W2K8 R2 64 bit guest OS machine. But offers installing only the x 86 install wizard.

  Since the update to Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 I am unable to install Safari extensions from third parties (like Agilebits 1Password or ublock).

  I can double click on the extension and the weather of dialogue I trust the source appears (it's in German).

  

  But regardless of this choice, I do the extension ist not installed.

  My system is

  • iMac (retina 5K, 27 inches, end of 2014) - 4 GHz Intel Core i7, 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, 3 TB Fusion AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB drive
  • Safari 9.0.3 (since the update of 10.11.3 combo)

  I tried to

  • Restart the iMac
  • Install the 1Password file - 4.5.2.safariextz from different places
  • Remove extended attributes and ACLs to the file downloaded 1Password - 4.5.2.safariextz
  • uninstall all extensions and empty folder ~/Library/Safari/Extensions
  • install the extensions via the Terminal (Open ~/Downloads/1Password-4.5.2.safariextz or sudo Open ~ / Downloads/1Password-4.5.2.safariextz)
  • copy the 4.5.2.safariextz - 1Password directly at ~/Library/Safari/Extensions
  • Re-download the 1Password - 4.5.2.safariextz from somewhere else

  Also, Google showed no relevant problem my problem solutions.

  Currently, I am only able to install the extension directly from the Apple Extensions Gallery.

  The problem is that an extension of the Apple Extensions Gallery 1Password is obsolete and does not work properly with 1Password 6.0.1 (problems on amazon.com and other sites). Also not available in the Apple Extensions Gallery ublock.

  Has anyone else had similar problems and could solve them?

  I live in the Isle of Man, an island off the British coast. We don't have a fast broadband connection and download CC applications through the CC desktop application is not successful.   I have the same problem, the RAID controller is not recognized by one of the distributions of linux in circulation, and so the hard drive is not recognized, so the linux installation is not possible. I tried FC7 and SUSE9. Due to the demands of work, I need to install FC7.

  If there is no driver available for linux, it is possible to disable the RAID controller on the laptop? If so, is that someone could put a guide of how do, or send me to a good link on the subject?

  I have a HP 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard on a desktop HP Pavilion Elite 083 UK:

  .. Since the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro to Windows 7 Home Premium, I have problems with getting control of Volume +, - and disable keys on the keyboard to work reliably in Windows 8 Pro.

  In summary, the symptom is that when I start the PC from a start-up to cold which is a full power down of the State of the volume on the keyboard controls do not work.

  However, if I unplug and re - plug the USB wireless receiver that came the keyboard on the PC then on the keyboard volume controls begin to work again.

  I tried the following things to try to solve this problem:

  -Made a lot of new installation of Windows 8 i.e. reformatting the hard drive (no recovery) and fresh install Windows 8 on a blank hard drive.

  -Installation of Microsoft Windows all the updates available for the machine.

  -Manually install drivers wireless keyboard on the site of HP driver for my computer HP Pavilion Elite 083uk (this allows the screen display on to CapsLock and numlock which works reliably every time that I start).

  -Disable 'fast start up' in Windows 8 power settings

  -Using different USB ports on the back of the machine

  This question is re-producable each time and the keyboard volume buttons work fine even from boot cold when I was running Windows 7.

  I think that I have now found a solution / workaround to solve this case no matter who is interested.

  1. download and install the Microsoft "DevCon" tool that provides an interface to command line for Device Manager.

  2. create a Windows scheduled task with "highest privileges" that works on logon that issues the following command:

  DevCon restart 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

  This restarts "HID-compliant consumer control device" that is listed in my device manager which is middle for the proper functioning of the volume control and mute buttons on the keyboard (keyboard functionality is via a separate driver which is not affected).

  NB. you need to replace ""HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02"with whatever hardware ID is listed in the device for that Manager.»

  3. If the above does not work, then you must create a scheduled task to run a batch file with the following:

  DevCon disable 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

  DevCon enable 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'
