WAG54G2 - port speed

Hi all

I have recently buy this router and I need to set the speed of the eth port (a cable is very long you have to fix at 10 Mbps...) but can't find any method of web interfaces.

I need address dhcp reserved also for question natting and firewalls, but I read that is not yet supported.

Is there a way of working? I give this store router?

Thanks for the cut & paste support

but it is not yet an upgrade to this firmware...

Well, I think it's better to close this thread, rather than be fooled

  • WNR2000 v2 does NOT offer to 100 Mbps port speed

    I got a plan of 100 / 10 MB/s and I noticed that with the WNR2000 v2 on a wired connection (cat 5e and cat 6), it is always capped at 75 / 10 Mbps.

    However, when I use gigabit router/modem my ISP, I get 130 / 10 Mbps.

Why not reach the port on my router netgear speed, it's rated specs?

I guess that you only use the ethernet connection.

WNR2000v2 LAN port can handle 10 / 100 Mbit/s, but in reality you can't reach the exact speed or more than 100 Mbps.

You were able to achieve more than 100 with the modem because the modem port is gigabit.

It's a decent speed for this old model.

You have the latest firmware installed?

Try to do a reset and then see if it will improve.

Just on the side note, you can see this table.

  • Connection Ethernet Port speed test

I am a newbie of LV and want to check that the connection speed between a PC running LV and a listening system is 100 Mbps. Is this possible with LV or do I need an Ethernet test (e.g., BERT or similar) to do this. The other port ping cannot tell me the speed of connection to my knowledge (a little).

Do you need to check the actual flow, or you just need to check that it has negotiated a 100mbit link? If the latter, and if the UUT is connected directly to a port ethernet to your PC (without routers/switches/etc. in the middle), there are ways to do this easily by querying the operating system on the network link. For example, you can use the Exec System to run the command shown here: http://superuser.com/questions/412952/how-to-detect-the-speed-fast-or-gigabit-ethernet-of-a-network-... and analyze the output. There are probably also a way to get this information through properties .NET.

  • USB 3.0 port speed is like usb 2.0

    Hello

Why speed is the same as usb 2.0 ports?

It gives me a speed of 25-30 MB on want while I tested same external hard drive on my other computer hp laptop with usb 3.0 port it give me a speed of 60 to 70 MB.

Check the drivers and wood to make sure that everything is properly defined and updated.

  • How to extract all the drives SAS/SATA and Ethernet port speed of the link command line?

    Hello

Do you know if supports Windows OS built in order to extract all the SAS/SATA drives and ports Ethernet link speed?

i.e. for SATA3 drive it show 6 Gbps, for DIS3 drive it will show 12 Gbps, to present the current link speed.

i.e. for Ethernet 10 G, it will show 10 Gbit/s while the current connection speed is at 10 Gbps.

I need the command to create a batch file to run bike test to check all connection speeds are correct in each cycle the system power runs, if the Windows operating system does not support built in order to achieve this, please send us any tool of 3rd - party with the support of the command line to do this.

    Thanks in advance.

  • The trunk port vs access port speed

I'm going to put in place a 4900M for a temporary training class, for 1 GB PC connected client.  I used an interface of 10 GB with a X 2-10 G - SR which will connect via fiber 62.5 microns, to a 10 GB interface 4948 with an SFP-10 GB - SR.  With respect to the config, I have the installer of the te1/1 4900 M as a port of access to the 4948.  Connectivity is fine, as well as the routing.  But when we use the client connectivity of the PC (connection to 10 GB of storage) drive, we get speeds of great reading but when he tries to write, it slows down and ends in error.

Question 1: Would it make a difference if the 4900M was connected via a trunk port to the 4948?

I think the problem is the maximum length and the length of the fibre 62.5 transmit\receive transceivers, but I want to dismiss the switchport configuration.

I doubt very much if a trunk port change would make a difference.

Certainly not something I've ever met.

  • RV180 getting is not gigabit/1000 WAN port speed

I have my RV180 connected to a modem Motorola SB6121 cable into the WAN port. The modem indicates that the connection to the router is only 10/100. If I plug my laptop directly into the cable modem, it indicates that the connection is full gigabit.

RV180 configuration, less Networking > port management, the WAN (Internet) port is enabled and Full Duplex value and speed of 1000. Auto-negotiation and flow control are unchecked. I also changed the WAN port for auto-negotiation and restarted the RV180. But none of these settings seem to affect the speed detected on the modem end. He always shows a light orange Link that says 10/100Base-T, instead of a blue light of the link indicating full 1000Base-T.

Am I missing another setting somewhere, or is there another reason why the modem insists that the connection to the router is only 10/100?

If I plugged my laptop into the RV180 rouoter's WAN port, I do not see how that would be a proper test.

Then two different cables do you use?  The reason why I ask because there are some cables Cat5/Cat6 "shonky" that are not properly completed.  If they are properly finished cables, you can obtain 1 Gbps.  If this isn't the case, you will get 100 Mbps.

  • Message from the USB port speed

I have a laptop HP Compaq NW8240 running on W7 last month recently, I plugged in a USB USBHUB04 of Linksys hub. It works fine but when I plug a flashdrive in there, it displays a message in the lower task bar "this USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a hi-speed USB 2.0 port. Should I have a missing driver? I thought that all USB ports on this laptop was 2.0.

Sorry that none of the steps that you took to remedy the problem.

You did exactly what I would have done it, so unfortunately, I couldn't even begin to tell you what to do next.

You may have to live with the status quo.

I wonder if this is a false message...

Your USB devices work more slowly than normal as a USB HARD drive or flash drive.

Data transfer seems slower than you're used to?

  • ThinkPad 8 Micro SD port speed

    Hey there,

I would like know Lenovo Thinkpad 8 owners how fast the Micro SD slot. My intention is to buy a Sandisk Extreme with read/write speeds 60/40. But if this speed is not realistic in the 8 ThinkPad, it would be the Sandisk Ultra. I hope you guys can help me.

I have two 32 GB Class 10 of Sony SD - HC / cards rated at 60/40 and 70/40 UHS1 and I get no more than 24/18 - i.e. 24 MB/s read and 18 MB/s in writing. But I do not have access to other brands, so I don't know if the limit is of the card, the slot or a combination of both.

  • What is the resolution of the max screen with speed Port Replicator Hi (PA3838E-1PRP)

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Portege R700 - 11 p and I want to buy a duplicator of Port speed Hi (PA3838E-1PRP), but I want to know the maximum screen resolution with ang VGA HDMI on the port replicator.

Thanks in advance for your answer

    Hello

The maximum display resolution depends on the laptop (graphics card) and the external display that is connected to the port replicator to Port Hi-Speed.

The internal graphics INTEL QM57 (incorporated into the Portégé R700) overview card provides this info:
    http://www.Intel.com/products/Notebook/chipsets/QM57/QM57-overview.htm
    + This chipset supports the DisplayPort interface * with a resolution up to 2560 x 1600. +

Therefore, check the properties of the external monitor.

  • Re: Satellite P300-1AE - port SATA speed

    Hello

I have wonderd what sata port speed is on my laptop for a possible upgrade to an ssd.
I know that the chipset is able to use 3 Gbit/S, but I've also read that some company limited the seed to 1.5 Gbps for the extended battery life.
Given that drives hard base provided with the laptop are 1.5 GB/S, I was wondering if it was capped too?

    Greetings

Try a scanner system such as [http://www.crucial.com/uk/systemscanner/] and see what ssd is recommended.

  • RV180 WAN/Internet very slow speed via WAP4410n (Port RV180 speed problem)?

    Hello

I have a base set up on the RV180, no etc. VPN running 1.0.5.4 Firmware (latest) and use a browser of WAP WAP4410n plugged into a LAN of the RV180 port. I have a SG100D Gigabit Switch also connected to a port RV180. My WiMax ISP provides 12 MB.

When I leave speed Port on the RV180 & WAP4410n on Auto neg. They hook at 1 GB and I have ONLY 2 MB Internet speed on wireless clients with no reported ignored packets on each device, when I change the port to 100 MB on the WAP4410n Rx. speed speed is normal at 12 MB!  The RV180 also indicates the speed of the LAN port for 1 GB... it is obviously wrong!  Obviously, forced to run the LAN of WAP port to 100 MB so I can get the ISP... normal speeds is limitation all my wireless to wired LAN traffic (and vice versa).

I tried several configs RV180 ie. Simplified of bare bones, exchanged cat 5th etc. etc. WITHOUT change.  With another router, there is no problem with the port of WAP4410N at 1 GB and ISP speeds are normal. ISP speeds are also normal via the Gigabit switch to other boxes, BUT if I plug the WAP4410N in switch WAN speed is 2 MB if the WAP4410N is set to 1 GB port speed!

With the RV180 unable to define a manual port 100 MB speed (see 1.0.5.4 Firmware release notes), that strongly leads me to believe that it is a problem of data Port RV180 specific WAP WAP4410N somehow.

Their are many positions reports slow Internet with the RV180, but none of them have a solution.  Ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated that Ive lost too much time already trying to solve this router ÷ # $$ / / / &. As this is my first post I hope I posted in the appropriate forum.

    Thank you... Rob.

    Thank you for the update.
