  Windows Media Player is not a good choice to play .mov files.

  .mov is the Apple QuickTime format... so would be the best player
  Apple Quick Time player being... I suspect a copy provided with your
  camera.

  The free VLC Media Player can also be worth a try.

  Best bet IMHO... convert the .mov to .avi using the free Panzera
  MOV to AVI. Then you can read the files in most of the media
  Player and if you ever decide to use Movie Maker, they'll work here
  also.

  I'm almost at the end of my rope.  I'm working on a project that uses .mov files.  Problem is that every time that I import them into the bin, no audio appears (not even in the preview window).  I tried to use the media encoder to make a copy of the files to .mp3 and .wav format, but the files just released silent.  None of the waveforms or whatever it is.  Then I tried to encode as Quicktime, PP does not recognize the file type.  I am now at a loss.  Honestly, I don't have a problem with it until this last update.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  I installed filmic Pro on my iPhone and pulled two clips, one with AAC audio and the other with audio AIFF. Of course, one with audio AIFF lost audio when importing Premiere Pro and still when I dragged into Media Encoder. Seems to be a bug that's worth logging: feature request/Bug Report Form

  Could be a problem with film recording Pro with audio AIFF, could be a problem elsewhere.

  Moral of the story for filmmakers: always test your workflow before shooting. (This should not be a new morality either.)

  I bought this machine with just a SSD because I wanted to install two hard drives that I already own. However, the images in the manual show upgrade you will need to attach nylon 4 pins for each hard drive in the drive cage. The pins hitting the slots on the side of the drive cage and physically hold the drive in place.

  Since none of these guiding pins came with my machine, someone know where I can get them?

  I just got this desktop, hp Envy Phoenix 860-170vr and I have any other problems. Dozens of error messages and I can not use more then 5 minutes and it stops any kernel or another error. I received many mistakes, including the failure of the core of the security check, kmode exception unhandled etc etc... I have also the screen flashes and the conputer all freezes contastly. Help?

  While this PC is still under warranty, contact HP customer care directly so that they can put you in contact with HP Technical Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.
  
  I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

  How difficult is it to remove a Windows 8 OS preinstalled on a new computer from h9 WANT Phoenix and replace it with Windows 7 Home Premium OS? Does anyone do this?   You must DISABLE 'Secure Boot' and ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in the BIOS, then save these changes. The next time you start, you enter the code provided to accept the previous changes. You must start the Windows7 as UEFI media to install Windows 7 on the GPT partitioned hard disk factory. You can buy a copy of Windows 7 with a valid key to install it.

  The drivers below should do the trick, if you are bent on installing Windows 7.

  Intel Download Center (Use the Intel driver update utility to scan your system for drivers up to date automatically and install it quickly).

  AMD display driver (except HD 7770 is highly customized by HP)

  Hi... thx for your answer... I use another headset, plantronics audio 995H wireless and works fine... has them both a few years now... 665 DSP works very well on my laptop wired does not work on the new pc tho

  Felix, welcome to the forum.

  There is only one PCI Express x 16 (Genesis 3) slot for a video card.  With respect to liquid cooling, medium size case do not have a lot of space.  I have a Phoenix 860-170VR with an R9-390 X video card and it is extremely tight.  However, having said that, I think you wouldl be pleasantly surprised by the way the computer will be with existing components.  I can play COD series on the best settings.

  I have the exact model.  There is an application called HPPhoenixControl that you can run to make changes to the colors to bicycle and how long between color changes.  You can also turn off the lights all together or just to have a single color.

  The file is located in c:\ProgramFiles(x86) \Hewlett-Packard\HPPhoenixCtrl.exe.  If I remember, when I was first of all the machine I saw this program in the Start Menu or anywhere else.  I think I stumbled on it any type of and he ran to see what he would do.  Have fun...
