want to 700 = 147 c

This pc has a digital cable to the monitor.  Electronic stores have different configurations of digital cable connectors.  What configuration is required and how to make a difference?  Otherwise, no matter what configuration will work?  I bought the pc at costco and they are no help and stores do not stock this model and are no help.  My first hp and can be my last if you do not get the correct details for me.  I have an old dvd player digital, will this cable work?  I do not hook up computers to things unless I know they are compatible.  A hdmi digital converter work?  A costly solution that I prefer to avoid.  I appreciate any detailed help.

Paul, thank you once again my tv has a dvi - d input and my existing cable does not work.  BTW, I'm ex-marine, thank you for your long term.  Jim

    Hi all

I recently bought just wanted renovated 700-147 hp. I have improved the 430w power supply after the purchase. I have a problem with installing an old video card I have. It's a nvidia 8800 gts and worked perfectly fine last night when I used it on my old computer. When I install the computer emits 6 times and flashes with beep. No video appears and the screen remains black. I tried to go through the bios and change the legacy mode. It did remove the ringtone but I was still not getting any video. I made sure that the card was sitting properly as well as the 6-pin power connector was in. The computer works fine when I remove the video card. Help please!

    Metallicacloud9, welcome to the forum.

You have done everything that I normally would have suggested, because the computer is equipped with a UEFI BIOS.  However, you don't mention if you updated the video driver.  This can help.

In addition, you could try clearing the CMOS:

This motherboard has a jumper to clear the CMOS RAM.

What is the rated power more of a video card that would work with the installed 450W power supply.

    CPU is 4770 I7 motherboard: MS-7826 (Kaili)

    Thank you

The 700 WANT referenced has a 460 watt POWER supply with a PCI-E 6-pin power supply.  In addition, this particular model PC has a version 8 for most graphics cards latest UEFI BIOS which are rated to work with a 460 Watt power supply would probably work.

Of EVGA has a NVIDIA GTX 960 modelthat requires only a single PCI-E power connector 6-pin. Other models of the EVGA GTX 960 graphics cards require a PCI-E power connector, 8 pins.

  • Want to 700-329: how to switch from windows 8.1 for al profession windows 7 on Envy 700-329

I'm fed up with the problems resulting from Windows 8.1, for example the program incompatibility, Slow / no response in browsers, particularly IE 11, forced to use touchscreen interface style on conventional monitor and so on and so forth. I have a license of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit for my Dell Vostro laptop. Can I use it on my HP Envy Office 700-329 to replace Windows 8.1?

    Hello:

It is forbidden to transfer the license OEM of Windows or using product key OEM the Dell laptop on HP desktop computer.

Please read the FAQ below... specifically...

    Q. my client bought a new PC and wants to move the OEM software from the old PC to the new. Users cannot do what they want with their software?

    A. no, the OEM software is licensed with the computer on which it was originally installed and system is linked to the original machine. OEM licenses are licenses for single use which cannot be installed on more than one computer system, even if the original machine is no longer in use. The 3668Microsoft Software License Terms, that the end user must accept before using the software, say that the license may not be shared, transferred or used concurrently on different computers. System integrators must provide support to the end user for the Windows license on build computers, they cannot support licenses on computers that they did not build. It is a fundamental reason why an OEM System Builder license cannot be transferred.

If you want to buy a license support and installation of W7, you can use the W7 x 74 drivers and the software of this model on your own, except the BIOS and firmware files.

  • WANT to 700-074: BIOS update failed HP ENVY 700-074

I intend to update Windows 10 soon.  HP recommends to update the drivers and BIOS before upgrade.  the original BIOS is listed as FRIEND 80.15 in msinfo32 dated 19/09/2013 (and in the setup of the BIOS as KAI 80.15). The computer came with 8 VICTORY and has been updated to WIN 8.1.  I tried to update the BIOS with the update listed for computers 700 - 0xx WANT to sp66018.exe.  I downloaded and ran the update with the HP Support assistant help.  A DOS window appears, and the update completed.  Norton AntiVirus has been disabled and all programs were closed during installation.  I created a USB file as the recommended window.  After that restart the BIOS version has not changed... Even after several reboots (and stops) and disconnect the power cord (I did some housekeeping to clean the inside of the computer of the dust) the version of the BIOS is still the original.

What is the correct BIOS update?  There are two listed for my machine - 80.20 Rev. (I used) may 28, 2014

    and 80.24 Rev.A 7 April 2015

Which is the correct one?  I don't want to install a bad!

It is possibly disable startup secure in the BIOS for the update to be successful?

Apparently, the dates are correlated with the version I had.  I tried to install one, be one originally installed... I installed the 80.24 Rev A version dated April 7, 2015 and it updated without problems.

  • HP. Want to 700-239: how to move to Windows 10 Pro

I have two PCs. My office has windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 7 Pro Laptop. It only allowed me to upgrade Windows 10 and not Windows 10 Pro. Technically, I'm downgrading my OS. How to move to Windows 10 Pro? I think it's the right upgrade

    Thank you

Microsoft detects which version of Windows is installed, and will install the correct version.  If there Core remove the pulp is installed, it is the same for the Pro version.

I looked at the specs of your CV. Want 700-239, and it indicates that the kernel has been installed not Pro.

  • Want to 700 * 430qe: install the cache disk on Envy 700-430qe

I have a 700-430qe with a MSI MS-7826 version want a motherboard that I can't get a 64 GB msata half board to work into the tiny slot.

He currently works very well with the small wireless card install, but not with a surfboard msata in.  I am wanting to use the housing as a cache drive instead of wireless.

Has anyone else experience this problem?  And also, no I want to switch to the DSS, I want just the mini slot to work with a mini ssd.

This can not make any sense, but the problem was that I must have no less than 200 MB of unallocated space at the end of my main hard drive which will be accelerated.

After that I did the software suddenly gave me the option as it is supposed to.  I left the unallocated space just in case there remains open for some reason any.   I was surfing the net and someone else had the same problem and it's the soluton.  The only thing is that no reason was as to why do or why it works.

If you can understand that you could let me know cause he shouldn't have made all the difference.

  • Want to 700-414: new drivers?

Stupidly, I answered an ad that has checked my drivers, and found 14 out-of-date drivers. However, the assistant of H - P Support don't tell me I need to install a. Could it be because I don't check the box that allows HP to know all the software/hardware I have on this machine?

I even called the online help and chatting with someone and she told me don't not to install ALL the drivers that Support HP Wizard not me to. I found several new pilots who we were needed on the download page for the 700-414 envy to me, but I don't know if I should or not. Can someone help me?

The support page for this model shows all compatible drivers for Windows 10.  Feel free to check those against those installed.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-envy-700-400-desktop-PC-series/7161708/model/7269347

I'm old school, I tend to ignore all emphasis by these sites to update drivers just because of possible conflicts with OEM equipment.  It is my opinion that if it does not, then leave it alone.  I can't invite problems by updating a system that works to my expectations.

I might add, some updates are updates to security and might need to be installed, see the notes that accompany the update for that reason.

  • Want to 700-230: how to access the BIOS on machine with wireless keyboard and no keyboard on the PC port

    Hi all

I have a HP Envy 700-230 which has a wireless keyboard

How am I supposed to access the BIOS that the keyboard drivers are not loaded until after the machine and there is no normal keyboard connects on this PC for a wired keyboard

With this kind of computor how am supposed to access the BIOS

Obviously to start the reports a keyboard error and suggest I press ESC to access the BIOS that I can't because at startup, there is no current keyboard.

Thanks for any help on this.

    Jeanette

While not a definitive answer, but try a wired USB keyboard instead wireless.  There may be a setting in the BIOS to change the way the keyboard interacts at the start but, of course, you need to enter the BIOS.  Looking at the other comments on this issue, if you happen to have a keyboard PS/2 and a PS/2 to USB adapter, then this seems to be a better choice.  Plug the PS/2 on the PS/2 keyboard to USB adapter and then try that at startup to access the BIOS.  Then, find the setting to allow the keyboard to be recognized at startup.  Another solution is to move the USB port, the wireless keyboard use.  If the rear ports, move forward, if forward move backward.

Let me know if one of these help.
