Hello

If the drive is a DVD SuperMulti burner, it won't read or burn blu ray discs, but you can visualize all the multimedia capabilities of your optical drive using the free app at the following link.

    Using the detached part number, I found specification for Satellite Pro C50. It has DVD SuperMulti player.
    Of course you can use it to record all your important data to blank media such as CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW.

    I put t know what burning software is installed originally. Check it out and test functionality.
    Of course, you can delete the system and install your favorite burning application.

  • "DVD SuperMulti LightScribe drive / burner" not recognized as LightScribe drive

    I've had my desktop PC HP Pavilion Media Center TV m8100y CTO for several years now, but I've never tried using the LightScribe feature to date. I downloaded the drivers and software from [link removed - site is no longer available] newer, but none of that recognizes the "LightScribe DVD SuperMulti Drive/writer" (TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222BB) as a LightScribe drive. What should I do to diagnose and fix the problem, so I can use the LightScribe feature?

    After looking in the system recovery, I don't think I'm going to run until my PC has more serious problems than the issue of LightScribe. The recovery process of the system to the factory settings and then reinstall everything new is a bit more than I want to go at this point. Thanks anyway for the help, old_geekster. I'm OK with the mystery of LightScribe remaining unsolved for a little longer. When I get to perform a system recovery, I will update this thread with the results regarding LightScribe.

  • DVD/CD driver is detected by computer but when any disk is put in it does not read.

    LightScribe DVD Supermulti drive / CD - Writeris found by computer, but can not read any kind of dick that is inserted. How can I fix this. or do I need a new driver?

    Hello

    Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
    Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
    This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

    Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
    slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

    Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
    ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
    contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
    manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  • Burner drive CD/DVD Supermulti A60 does not work

    For 10 days, my CD/DVD SuperMulti my A60 drive does not respond. It is impossible to play CD, DVD (comercials, staff, data, music or film) with the reader.

    The CD is always detected (no problem announced in Manager devices, properties or other), and it's status SAIS 'No to CD player', no matter what I always do.

    The trayer makes a strange noise at startup (a very strong tick), the cd turns in the status bar and the lens trolley always moves.

    I'm afraid she's broken defenitivly...

    What are the writers of CD/DVD slim ultra compatible with the Toshiba Satellite A60-142? I found the NEC ND - 6650A and ND-6500. Can anyone confirm? (The old broken one is the Mat * a UJ - 820 s.)

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

    If you think that the disc is certainly defective, why you n t contact the authorized Service partner and check if the warranty is still valid.

    If the reader can be Exchange, why a new look. Compatibility is also sensitive topic because there is no public document on this subject and you will be lucky if some users on this forum can give you a precise answer. The fact is that each drive may not be recognized correctly and you will get #1 error IDE.

  • Laptop HP G60t-500 - cannot find the DVD burner driver

    Hello

    I upgraded my laptop G60t-500 for Windows 8.  I had to reinstall some of the drivers in compatibility mode and overall, it works ok (thumping audio does not work, but I get audio with USB speakers) However, I just noticed that the DVD RW drive does not.  In Device Manager, the hp DVDRAM GT20L reports the following error message:

    Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    {Unable to load device driver}
    HS device driver could not be loaded.
    Error status is 0 x %x

    I was looking on the site of HP support pilot for the original drivers for the DVD RW drive but can't seem to find them.  I found the HP DVD Play software and I was wondering if it needs to be reinstalled.  Or I have to look elsewhere for the device driver?  Or should I uninstall and leave the machine to find the driver.

    As a record, when I right click on the device in Device Manager and select "Update driver software", select the option to let the computer find the right driver, he again reports the correct driver is installed.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Carol

    Thank you, Vidya.  I had to reboot and now my machine 'sees' the DVD player and it's working (I tested it using a DVD for playback and serious files).

    Thank you!!

    PXE - E6i:Media Test Failure, Check Cable
    PXE - MOF: Exit PXE Rom

    Can someone help me please?
    Best regards
    John

    Besides what abdelhak says:

    The message of PXE boot that you receive when you start your computer has nothing to do with your CD/DVD-Rom drive. Your computer uses a PXE boot method to attempt to load Windows from a location on your network. Since you do not have this configuration, it is safe to ignore it. If it slows down the startup time of your system, contact your manufacturer and ask them for instructions on how to "disable PXE Network Boot of the BIOS.

    Hope this helps,

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
  • Satellite Pro A100: Mat * a UJ - 841 s DVD Multi drive does not
    Hello
    I have a Satellite Pro A100 with a carpet * a UJ - 841 s DVD Multi Drive.
    Recently, I decided that as my laptop is running slowly I wanted to format and reinstall XP Pro, I used a standard version of OEM XP Pro (not seller specfic) and he went on the formatting and the reconstruction of my laptop.
    Fortunately, I used Acronis True Image to backup my laptop before I did that my above mentioned dvd player is so more to bury properly (all the drivers and the necessary software has been installed). Before I formatted the laptop I could burn on + and - DVD (r, rw and ram) now that the laptop has been rebuilt, I can only burn to dvd-r/rw/ram.
    I restored from my laptop to the picture created by Acronis and can use the drive normally again to burn + and - DVD.
    Does anyone know why this would have stopped working in the new installation of Windows? I also tried to create a virtual machine using the same xp disc but it always gives me the problem of dvd player.
    Thank you
    Rich
    Hello rich
    Have you noticed the same problem after using Toshiba designed recovery DVDs?
  • M30 - 107 - replace the DVD - RW drive?
    I replace the DVD - RW drive in my laptop. I was wondering if someone could tell me the steps that would be involved in it, or else where I might be able to find this information.
    Thank you!
    Hi Philippe,.
    Feliks is altogether correct with his comments about your request. Because the device is "fixed" in your notebook will invalidate you your warranty if you replace yourself.
    However, as with most laptops, CD/RW can be removed if you really want to. It is normally split into place and then fixed by one or two screws. For example, my A30 is secired by a single accessible screw from the base of the laptop. I don't know about the model M30 you need so you will need to check where it is attached.
    Once the screws are released, the unit can be slipped out of its slot.
    You should then be able to find the label on the device and this will tell you the serial number and model.
    If you are replaceing with a similar device, then you will probably have to remove the plastic frame and cut panels and mounting brackets and adapt them to the new unit.
    Replace the unit and the re - fix it with the screws and the work is done then.
    You can, of course, replace your device with another (Toshibe notebooks) do use several different, but there is no guarantee that you new unit will work properly without having to install new drivers for it.
