Want to Phoenix 810se: SSD

I'm setting up the new office, what is the difference between a SSD 256 and 256 GB SATA 3.5 Solid State Drive TLC (the price difference is only $ 10 so I guess is a similar product)

The TLC can refer to the cell of level Triple.

SLC, MLC, TLC - what is the difference?

  • Want to Phoenix 810qe: SSD cache fails on desire 810qe

A few weeks ago I noticed a problem (probably unrelated) which led me to look at the system event logs and I was surprised to see that I was getting all them complain about a bad block on a "hard drive" I didn't know, I had three or four errors a minute.  A little poking around revealed that it was the machine provided with 16 GB mSATA SSD cache.  Apart from the log messages, the computer seems to work very well, so I put off to worry about this.  Now, with the end of my warranty approaching, I decided to call and see if I could get a replacement.  (I'm now up to eight messages per minute).

After a few long and frustrating calls, I finally got someone to direct me to the good test to run, who immediately said "Test failed.  Recommended replacement car. »

Unfortunately, they are not ready to send me a replacement, and I'm not ready to wipe my machine and send it to them to play with for a few weeks, I'm looking for other solutions.

    My questions are

    1. Do I need to worry about this?  It is a cache, so, theoretically, if it fails, it could simply not give me the performance boost, but it won't actually hurt anything.  But what I saw on the web implies that there are two ways that SSD hiding can be configured ("enhanced" and "expanded") and one of them may cause corruption if it fails.  The support guy I spoke had no idea.
    2. How is it difficult to replace the SSD drive with a new one?  They don't seem to be very expensive, and looking inside the box, he's not physically difficult to replace.  But I suspect that there's more involved in the passage.
    3. If not, can I disable the cache and get him out?

    Any help will be appreciated.

Just in case someone comes to this page with a similar problem...

After another telephone conversation with a supervisor, HP agreed to send a part... purpose of replacement only if they could schedule a technician to come to my house to install it.  For free.  I agreed.  The tech came out yesterday morning, challenge a screw, jumped from the old disk, jumped into the other in screw them and started the machine.  Everything worked.  No software at all.  It's all plug-and-play.  They sent me a disc identical to that which failed (16GB), but he expressed the view that it would be putting end to a larger.

It turns out that the machine uses no hardware caching, but rather the software called ExpressCache, where my confusion of not being able to determine what mode of caching (material) that he used.  This software manufacturer said that it "maintains safe and the integrity of all data in case of failure SSD or kidnapping, as well as unclean judgments resulting from power outages.  And that seems to be the case, at least in terms of pulling on a production car and its replacement by a new.

  • GeForce GTX 770 runs on the HP Envy Phoenix 810SE?

I am considering buying the HP Envy Phoenix 810SE and I want to configure it with the i7 - 4930K (optional) Hexacore and 2 GB of Nvidia GeForce GTX (optional) 770. However, the power of this model is only a low 500 watts - however the recommended minimum power for the 770 according to Nvidia GTX is 600 Watts it consumes typical of 230 watts.

My question is how this platform may run the card at all?

I mean I'll take Hexacore i7 - 4930K which consumes 105 watt just by itself, add in 2 hdd (35 watt) as well as a dvd player + motherboard and memory. I don't see how this configuration may work.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    Hello

power max is just what components are going to shoot when they are maxxed out.

You can get away with running this solution, but if the execution of some heavy games can draw more power than the system can handle.

If this is the case, you may need to upgrade the power supply.

on the drives, you can run an SSD that will consume less energy than your spinning disks.

  • want to 24-n250ur: SSD m.2 Bulldozer - 4GL Envy 24

I'm a 24-n250ur on matherboard Bukdozwe-4GL. What type of m2 is it? PCI-E or SATA? I want to buy a SSD drive Samsung 850 evo. Will it work? I've never been able to find an answer.

    Hi K0stya2007,

While our PC is different, both use the same motherboard of Bulldozer-4GL.

The 128 GB SATA III SSD M.2, tried at the beginning did not work. He was never taken over by the BIOS or in the operating system. However, when I tried the Samsung 950 PRO NVMe M.2 256 GB it was immediately recognized by BIOS and Windows 10 drive. Here is the link to the ssd which worked in my PC.  I pulled my other system to test.
    http://www.Samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/SSD-950-Pro-nVMe-256gb-MZ-v5p256bw/#specs

I was surprised that the motherboard supports PCIe is that I wasn't expecting that pleasntly.  Now I'm not saying that it will work with your PC, but I would definitely give it a try (especially if you can return the drive, if it is not). Make sure m2 slots are enabled in the BIOS, otherwise it won't work.

HP could have saved us a lot of headaches if he said simply that the m2 slot is PCIe somewhere in the documentation instead of simply "a slot m2 for SSD" and we have to guess.  In any case, I'm just glad that it works for me.

Let us know how it turns out for you.  Good luck!

Hi, quite new and mac OS lovers, bought one after windows kept crashing on me

    I bought an iMac 27 "mid-2011 running with a 1 TB 4 GB 3.1 ghz i5 drive

Im going to attempt to install a SSD (never opened an iMac upward before but ive read online)

I want to install a SSD 128 GB Samsung 850 Evo and install an another 4 GB Ram

I want to install El captain on the SSD, but then change my current 1 GB to store my photos and music

I was going to install the SSD and then load my current drive.

Then install the el captain for the SSD by keeping the two separate drives.

Then start in the SSD and format the old drive and reinstall all my necessary applications

    What do you think guys?

    Thank you

    reinstall all my necessary applications

Not sure what you mean by the above. Aren't you going to keep the Applications folder on the SSD? If you reformat the drive of 1 GB, you will lose all your data. I hope that you have backups.

Other meanings, it should work. I would like to download El Capitan before beginning.

  • HP ENVY Phoenix 810se Office does not

    Hello

I have not found any recent message on the desktop computer HP ENVY Phoenix 810se with Windows 8.1.

My desire is currently blocked in the screen just after the symbol HP is displayed. PC boots, HP symbol appears, "Please Wait" appears wth points circling on a black screen, the screen goes blue - where is it stays. Nothing that I don't alter unless I hit the power button.

It started last night. I am logged in as usual, intervened after the Sons of Anarchy watch DVR i had. When I got home 20 minutes later, I saw 4 lines of the repeated statement. Discuss something in the direction of boot not found.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,

    Steadyhand, welcome to the forum.

The error message that you normally receive means that the hard drive has failed.  I suggest running SMART , from the BIOS.  This will tell you if it failed.

  • Want to Phoenix 810-430: try to install 256 GB Samsung SSD

Hello I recently purhcased a Phoenix 810 office with a 2 TB drive and I would like to install a 256GB SSD Samsung Pro as OS boot disk and then format 2 TB drive (what I see is a "GPT protected Format") that came with the desktop as a disk storage, deleting the recovery partition. What would be the best way to do this? I know that I can just use the Samsung drive cloning software, but I prefer to do a clean install. I tried to create a set of recovery DVD but for some reason, he did not finish the restoration in the SSD, more it create a recovery partion on that too although I don't want. Can I order a set of HP restore disc that works? I heard also download an iso of 8.1 and Windows with OEM key, which is incorporated in my bios. I was wondering want suggestion or instructions that someone has to do this.

    Hello:

I don't know if the tool of creation of media W8.1 I join will work with the product key OEM in the BIOS of your PC, but I don't see that you have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

    Download, unzip and run.

  • WANT to Phoenix h9-1400el: my SSD Cache is not visible in bios

    I have this computer :

    -Product # : D2J76EA #ABZ.

I'm about to change my HARD drive and I recently discovered to have a 16 GB SSD for caching.  I never actually saw because it does not appear in the windows partition software or the UEFI bios. I don't think that it is running, but I have no way to be sure of it.

I did a clean install of windows before and the Bios is set to AHCI SATA mode.

    Can I somehow know runs?

And if not how to fix it?

I tried to put my ssd in another pc without result.

So I came to the conclusion that it was his fault, he must break my ssd.

I'll buy a new one if I get lucky, until then I'll go without it.

Thanks for the support, but it was a hardware problem.

  • Want to Phoenix 810-330qe: upgrade, update necessary graphics card power supply?

I'm a Phoenix 810 - 330qe, currently equipped with the stock Nividia GTX 745. I bought a graphics card GTX 970 upgrade for better gameplay and use of possible VR helmet. I have not yet installed, but wonder if my power supply must be upgraded to handle it all. If so, will what power take?

The new card is spec'd to draw 145W and recommend a power of 500W. The 745 GTX is spec'd respectively 55W and 300W. The current stock PSU is rated at 500W, but do not know if that pushes its limit. The only other setting I had installed an SSD alongside that of stock.

    Help suggestions, thank you.

I would upgrade the PSU, considering that you've also added an SSD.

Take a look at the Corsair Builder supply.

  • Order a new X 220 (you want to use mSata SSD)

I'll order a X 220 and I was wondering if the view Type options (antenna) or the WiFi options integrated importance in my ability to add an mSata card?

I want the i7 processor, premium best screen Wifi which will allow me to use a card mSata.

    Thank you

No, the only thing that would limit you to use mSATA SSD if you order a card WWAN (3 G internet cell), because it uses the same location.

  • H9 want - 1469ea Phoenix: CSO part of hard drive 0 indicates full - E Drive a 2.7 TB unused.

I'm a H9-1469ea Phoenix office less than 2 years. The OSC Drive (referred to as disk 0) with 106 GB is full of programs etc and cause serious problems. The rest of the car O contains recovery (drive D), and I'm unable to increase the volume of the part of the OSC. The D drive on disk 1 has more than 2.7 TB of unused space (I keep all data on a spare drive - not the computer), but I am unable to repartition to use this space as the C for programs, etc. How can I increase the size of drive E (Datadrive) using a portion of unused space in drive E greater than 2.7 to.

Serial number is [removed personal information]

    Hi again rgh1,

It is good to hear from you!

The reason why your particular computer was equipped with a smaller than the hard disk drive is for quick loading and processing of the operating system. As the disc is an SSD means that the start-up will be generally faster than a typical hard drive!

To keep your system works effectively, without overloading the drive 0, you can use your E drive for storage of files, applications and games. For example, you can reinstall Steam on your computer hard disk of 2.7 TB. This can be done by navigating to a different destination folder on the E drive. For more information, you can also take a look at this document on install games in different places.

I hope this helps, and if you need further assistance, I would be very happy to give him!

Have a great rest of your day!

  • Want to Phoenix 810-135qe: 810-135qe stop food works on

Phoenix-810 135qe problem with a 7 month old machine.  When you push the power button, the lights are light in the tower and hang the lights.  The hard disk starts to spin and then there's what looks like a

Relay 'click' and the powers of the machine off.  It continues in this cycle every 2 to 3 seconds until the power cord

is pulled.  On/off, power on / stop.  No beep code is heard.

Nothing comes on the screen if the monitor is on and nothing flashes on the keyboard.

Computer worked well behind a hardware firewall and there was no "weird" behavior, noted before that happened.  We are in the middle of winter, so there was no impact of lightning to the stress of the surge protector.   Sunday, the computer ran nominally, Monday morning he began the above behavior.  I'm puzzled.  Kurt

    Kurt, welcome to the forum.

My first thought is a defect power supply unit (PSU).  If you have access to another power supply, it would be good to try.  It is difficult to solve the problems when the computer continues to run.  Here's a guide that will give you suggestions before replacing the power supply.  If none of the suggestions to solve your problem, you should contact the HP customer assistance service.  You want to use the warranty.
