WARNING: DirectX Acceleration is not activate, Windows 7 64 bit

I have an ATI 4870 running windows 7 the problem that I am running is that DirectX acceleration is not being seen.  Now my other programs (32-bit) running their own Accelerator do not have this problem (as my Blu - ray).  Now the same software programs works perfectly under XP and Vista with 32 and 64 bit. :)  Running dxdiag show, the 3D accelerator has been activated will include these reading at the end of this message.  On a backup drive, I even downloaded DirectX 9.c to see if that might solve the problem but it didn't.  Hard drive has been erased and reloaded on July 12, including all patches before the software was loaded and still does not work.  My Windows experience index is:
Processor: 7.3
Memory: 7.4
Graphics (Aero): 6.8
Chart (game): 6.8
Hard disk: 5.9

Hello Hunsinger D, welcome.

My suggestion would be to first see if you have the latest version on your ATI drivers.

You can find the latest version of your card here. Its the latest version of 64-bit Windows 7 from the site Web of ATI CCC:

https://a248.e.Akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ATI.com/drivers/9-6_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe

Once downloaded, run the installer and it should guide you through the installation process, which most will be automatic. It will require a reboot Afterwords.

Depending on the applications you run, they cannot be completely compatible with DirectX 11, which is what Windows 7 is running in native mode. We can try to force apps to run in the mode of DirectX 9/10.

Try this to force the application to run on DirectX 9:

1 find / create a shortcut to the application
2. right click on the shortcut and select Properties
3. click on the tab 'Shortened' at the top (if not already done)
4. in the field "Target", go at the end of the quoted text, put a space and add - dx9

The result should look like that in nature, even if the path in quotes may be different:

"C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"-dx9

As long as there is a space between the "" text and - tag dx9 you will be fine.

5. click on 'Apply' at the bottom and close the window. Now try to start the application.

If please reply back and let us know the results.

  • My hard drive has left an old system to a new system and now I can not activate Windows.

Cannot download the drivers to activate Windows

I spent two days now trying to get a computer at work, I've built. I use new parts other than my used hard drive previously. I was not able to install the drivers for my network so I'm stuck right with the activation screen when I connect. If I do not activate and then I get kicked out and have to log in again. I cannot connect to the network to turn on obviouly and when I call them they say my ID intillation in does not correct and they don't recognize it as a valid product. I then remove my hard drive and put it back in the old machine and as if by magic, it works fine after activation. How am I supposed to install my drivers so I can activate if I can't go to my screen to install? This is the second time that this happens, and I really not prefer to buy a new windows disk for something that already works.

  • Tablet Lenovo suddenly will not activate windows or accept a microsoft account that has been registered in.

I'm having a hard time to get back to a windows device.  I have a Lenovo tablet which has a Windows8 full version on it.  I have not used in a few months and went to use it the other day.  It does not connect to my account a single drive then it does not recognize the microsoft account which was signed in, and then it would not turn on the windows account.  I restored and still will not activate.  I can't get any phone support which is very frustrating.  Please help me understand what is happening.  It worked months ago but now I want to upgrade to 10 and use it, but it's useless if she won't turn on.

You can check the product key Windows 8 embedded by installing and running ProduKey.  It will be displayed as a key OEM BIOS which can be separated from the default key of Windows 8 as shown.

When you know for sure this key exists, you can Install Clean Windows 10 Upgrade skip the product key during the installation, and then activate directly with windows 8 product key embedded as explained in the FAQ 1511 Version activation in Windows 10 .

This will be a facility infinitely better and save a lot of time struggling with the activation of Windows 8, then move again to Windows 8.1 in order to lower quality 10 Windows upgrade.

  • Acer Aspire E - 15 (E5-571-332ko) Wifi not working - Windows 7 64 BIT

Hi there we have a problem on the machine where we have down to Windows 7 64 BIT and we picked up the drivers from the Acer Web site.

Unfortunately the WIFI does not work despite trying all three options in the Support Site for Windows 7 64 BIT.

The laptop originally with Windows 8.1 which we didn't like. LAN works well.

We made - put a new SSD drive in (of course to lift the keyboard because what was not so difficult and three ribbons inside that were given.

    Can someone advise please?

I understood the problem and got it work. I was struggling to find the right driver, is necessary to find another for a same laptop from HP! None of Acer were those on the Web site as they are all for Windows 8.1

I went to the device under System (Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate) Manager...

You must go to control panel > Device Manager then highlight the network cards. The wireless is here so click on it, go to properties and then click the Details tab scroll down to HardwareIDs and make a note of the four characters that follow FRI for the vendor, and the four after DEV for device.

Go to http://www.pcidatabase.com and enter these characters into the two boxes that apply and take the path to the correct driver. When you find the list of drivers to the seller, they aren't ordering as well use facility search to your browser to track the details of the device. With luck, you'll have an executable file, but some will be a zipped folder.

    Found this info from http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/43377-43-wifi-working-acer-aspire-windows

So the point is to track down the correct driver by searching for the device ID (first four characters) and stalking the four characters (Vendor ID) when you browse through the list.

I installed the software under license of the professional 32-bit of windows 7 in my PC. Now, I want to upgrade my PC 2 GB RAM to 8 GB. But 8 GB do not support 32-bit OS. So can I install windows 7 64-bit OS using my 32-bit licensed software? If it is possible, then how?

First of all, you need to get the 64-bit edition version, so that you have a license. If you have a retail copy of Windows 7, the box must have a disk for 64-bit Windows 7. If this isn't the case, then you must download the copy.

See the instructions how to download on the download page of Microsoft 64-bit software:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

If your computer is pre-installed with Windows 7, or you have is an OEM of Windows 7 product key, the software download page will not work with your key.

You will need to use the following to get Windows 7 64 bit:

Microsoft Windows and Office ISO download tool - HeiDoc.net

Once you have downloaded the ISO, create a bootable on a Flash DRIVE or a DVD copy:

After graduating the .iso file, you can use the built-in Image disc burning tool or Microsoft .iso to USB/DVD tool to create a bootable DVD or USB (requires a blank DVD or USB flash to at least 4 GB key).

After downloading the. ISO file, right click and click burn disc image

    Insert a blank DVD

    Click on burn

Windows 8/8.1 users can mount the. ISO file and start the upgrade automatically. More here

    Important:

If you create a USB startup key, make sure the USB is first in the FAT32 format.

    Connect the USB

    Open Computer

Click with the right button on USB

    Click on Format

Make sure that FAT32 is selected as the file system.

There is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 and 64 bit. This means that applications and hardware drivers must be reinstalled. In addition, you will need the native 64-bit drivers for all your hardware. Check out the Windows 7 section of the following article how perform a custom installation:

  • User accounts - > user accounts to manage a link doesn't work is not in Windows 7 64 bit

    Hello

I tried to open the Panel-> user accounts-> accounts less manage accounts does not create a new account link. My OS is Windows 7 64 bit. 32-bit Internet Explore doesn't work. I tried to register the dll files to 32-bit internet explorer, but it does not work. Please help me.

    Hi Madhavaarimilli,

-You receive an error message when you try to create a new user account or access to Internet Explorer 32-bit?

First of all, I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and check if you can create a new account on your computer. To boot to the desktop in safe mode keep tapping key F8 during restart. Once you see the option to start in safe mode, select it and press ENTER.

Access the link to learn more about how to start the computer in safe mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

To create a new user account follow the steps below:

    1. open user accounts by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.

    2. click on Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. click on create a new account.

4 type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.

If the problem persists in safe mode, I would say allowing you to run the auditor of file system (CFS) analyze and check if if helps solve you the problem.

To run the Scan SFC follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.

    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    3. at the command calls, the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

Access the link below to learn more about the execution of the System File Checker:

For question connects to open Internet Explorer, I would say to run the Internet Explorer troubleshooting utility built into Windows 7 and check to see if it helps you solve the problem.

To run the Internet Explorer troubleshooter, follow these steps:

    1. close all programs.

    2. click on start and then click Control Panel.

    3. under system and security, click on find and fix problems.

    4. in the left pane, click View all.

    5. click on Internet Explorer Performance. This opens a new window.

    6. click Next.

    7. the resolution of the issues will take place and try to solve the issues raised everything automatically. Click Close.

After the store has run successfully, check to see if you receive the same error.

Also access the link below and follow the steps to solve the problem with Internet Explorer.

Hope this helps and return to view the results.

  • Theme Hospital, set of 16 bits works is not on Windows 7 64 bit

coupl'a day there, I tried inttalling one of my favorite games ever hospital theme but is a set of 16 bits and I have a 64 bit system could there be an update for win 7 64-bit to fix this quite annoying version of windows or not?

    PS just wonderin

You cannot run 16-bit applications on a 64-bit system. Try dosbox (www.dosbox.com), a program of emulator BACK (32-bit = works on x 64), version 0.73 is compatible with Theme Hospital (1997).

There is nothing to blame "this quite annoying version of windows. Some older programs require direct access to material which is prohibited on modern systems, some require drivers that do not work on 64-bit. Backward compatibility to the stone age could be achieved with a lot of programming but no 64-bit OS do that (not just Windows), because the affected applications are too few and mostly out of use.
