  I am a heavy user of HP pavilion G4. I received a message (error 90 b) said that my fan is not working properly. And I know my fan must be filled with dust. I disassembled my laptop components. The dust isn't too bad honestly. So, I cleaned the dust and assembled my laptop again. A few days later I got error message of fan again. I recheck again and the fan does not rotate smoothly. I think that's the problem, the fan of a PAPER jam. Is that my warranty will be voided if I disassemble my laptop by myself? And there is no sticker "null". I want to send my laptop at the HP store to get my laptop fan repaired by the 'GUARANTEE', because to get the spare part for myself is too EXPENSIVE, about RM80 (Malaysian Ringgit).

  Operating system will not void your warranty, but HP will not be able to support all the operating system that you are installing. Only in the case out of the damage on your device may void your warranty.

  Generally, all laptops are covered by the standard warranty for 1 year.
  If you register on the page of Toshiba notebook, you will get one year additional warranty (2 years altogether).
  I think that's what you see on the page of Toshiba.

  I think that you can extend the warranty also.

  Yes it's true. Warranty covers the battery always one long year.
  It s any manufacturer will ask you; all batteries are covered under warranty for one year.

  I bought an open box Lenovo X 1, which has 2 years on-site warranty remaining. I try now to buy a warranty for the sealed battery unit but do not know how to proceed.

  I found the 04W7993 of product that sounds like the good article but don't know if it would apply to my machine.

  Can anyone confirm if this product guarantee could be used to extend the warranty to my laptop? Even though it was an open box, the number of cycles was only 1 and the battery always has 100% manufacturer capacity reported by the power manager.

  Hi, so it confused me for a long time now. I have this problem where my backlight ISN'T want to change to any other color but BLUE and its only the right side of the keyboard. The Start button / stop and the speakers are an exception to this decision apparently. I don't know exactly when it happened, but it has affected my computer for a while now. At this point im thinking a factory reset might do the trick, but I don't want to go through the long fight to take back to his feet. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
