Warranty HP can be replaced by an upgrade?

Unfortunately, I had an accident and damaged my laptop screen on the class path. I'll drop the guarantee soon (fortunately I have a laptop backup for now) and I have just the screen 1366 x 768 normal. Is it possible for HP warranty before replacing my screen 1366 x 768 with 1920 x 1080 screen (it is compatible, as it is offered to the laptop as an upgrade when origianlly purchase), instead of just putting another screen 1366 x 768? I understand there is obviously a difference in cost associated.

Crashed my MOBO and I'm trying to replace the mobo and processor to upgrade the system.  I was running XP and is considering upgrading to Windows 7.  Since I have to reload Windows XP and the loss of everything on the hard drive, I plan to replace the HD.  Can I go directly to 7 or what I need to load XP first and then upgrade?

First, you must decide whether to buy Windows 7 as an upgrade CD or a full commercial license holder.  A full retail version costs more than a version upgrade.  However, if you buy Windows 7 with full commercial license, you will avoid potential problems, as there is certainly no need to re - install Win XP.

A clean install is always preferable to an upgrade, and in all cases, it is not possible to upgrade directly from Windows XP to Windows 7.  Even if you use a CD 'upgrade', you will need to perform a "Custom" or new installation of Windows 7.  A custom installation replaces not only Windows XP. It also replaces everything on the hard drive.

In the past, you can use a CD to upgrade - to perform a new installation of a newer operating system.  For example, if you inserted a CD with version upgrade of Windows XP, the process could find a precedent (and real installation of Windows 98).  If this search detected Windows 98, the CD would be upgrading Windows 98 to Windows XP.

If the search has not detected a previous installation of Windows 98 (on a new hard drive or recently formatted), it could prompt the user to insert his old CD of Windows 98.  After checking the validity of the Windows 98 CD, the CD 'upgrade' would continue the installation of Windows XP - as a new installation.

According to the Microsoft website, all editions of Windows XP are eligible for an upgrade to Windows 7 - so if you use Win XP on your PC, Microsoft recommends that you buy a package labeled "Upgrade".  However, I don't know if the previous procedure will allow you to perform a new installation of Windows 7 on a new hard drive.  If this isn't the case, you might need to reinstall and validate Windows XP first, simply to confirm your eligibility for the upgrade version.

  • Hi apple, can you replace my iphone 6 again?

Hi apple, can you replace my iPhone 6 again? Because my phone screen has been a little out of his cases and I think that my battery has become thicker, through my iphone still the limited apple warranty, how much it costs if repair? And or replacement for new phone?

    Thank you.

You're not talking to Apple, this is a site for technical support to users.

  • Satellite C670d - 11 k - can I replace the CPU?

Can I replace the CPU on my 11K satellite C670D help please

    Hello

The chipset is AMD A50M, so you can ONLY use AMD processors that are supported by the chipset.
But it is still open question whether the BIOS would support the new processor.

Since updates are not official supported by any laptop manufacturer, you will not find this info anywhere...
If these updates are at your own risk, and no one would be able to tell if the laptop would be stable after this upgrade the CPU.

In General, the CPU upgrade is not supported. Some people have talked about successful upgrade of CPU, but I think that it is not necessary. Upgrade of RAM to the maximum level will increase the performance of the laptop and it should be enough. What do you think about this?

Is there a reason for upgrade CPU?

  • Can I replace the video card Intel (r) 915GM/GMS in Satellite M70?

    Hello!

I have a TOSHIBA Satellite M70, with video card Intel (r) 915GM/GMS (256 MB) that is not working properly (it might be made of the mechanical shock or high temperature, do not know, but I'm sure it's something on the hardware). I reinstalled my OS (and then replaced by another), updated my drivers but nothing changes. Then appears a BSOD evoking the video driver files I try to restart it many times because the screen guard shutted down (in black). Now, the video card is disabled, and it works normally. I want to just replace it if it is possiblle. I said * TOSHIBA Satellite M70, Intel (r) 915GM / GMS *.

Thanks for your answers in advance, and sorry for the mistakes (I'm not English)!

Can I replace a Keyboard(Non-Backlit) with a backlit keyboard in my laptop HP Pavilion 17-e020dx?

    Hello

This series of computers portable your (and many others) have only 1 option for keyboard:

Full-size, island-keyboard with numeric pad in black or white finish. Gesture of support: MultiTouch gestures
activated, two fingers to scroll and pinchzoom as default
    Faucets, active by default
Support for Windows 8 modern trackpad

Therefore, you can not replace the keyboard only, you must also replace the motherboard that supports a backlit keyboard. If necessary, it would be a very expensive upgrade.

    Kind regards.

Can I replace the printhead on an HP Photosmart3210 all-in-one?

Well, if you have tried several cleanings then it is really not any other measure - printers need to be served by HP and several years out of warranty. I would not continue to try to use it if there is leakage of ink. Sorry - I regret that you are out of luck with this one.
