wbamdin start recovery says: wrong version of windows!
I'm trying wbadmin restore a volume. When I try to use the statement: wbadmin start recovery, I get a "bad version of windows error.
Any ideas?

User Agent string has wrong version of Windows NT
I'm on Windows 8.1 and if I go to http://useragentstring.com/ it detects Windows NT 6.2 instead of 6.3. Please see my screenshot here: http://imgur.com/7CbJzop
This causes a problem. When I visit some pages on Microsoft as http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/tutorial Microsoft detects that I have Windows 8 on my computer and I get a message to upgrade to Windows 8.1. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and the problem persists.
How can I fix the User Agent string so that it reflects the correct version of Windows.
Thanks cor - el, but I discovered that the problem is caused by a program called Sandboxie.
Let me explain. If I start Firefox unsandboxed and go to about: support the NT correct version is displayed (i.e. NT 6.3). However, if I run the same browser sandbox it shows the NT 6.2.
I started a topic on the Sandboxie forum about this.

Latest updates installed Windows and now says my version of Windows is not genuine?
2 days ago I installed the latest updates for Windows 7 and Office 2010, and now I get a popup message saying that my version of Windows is not genuine. I've been using a genuine copy for more than 2 years, and he says the same under System properties that my version is real and active. I ran the program to verify that it is authentic, and said he is not my copy and I need to buy another copy for more than $100! I guess that the number of similar positions that something has been ruined by the recent updates for many people, but need help in obtaining this Jack support please.

What version of Windows are you using?
I don't know why you want to spend money on McAfee when you can get the MSE, which is far superior, for free. In any case if you want to keep McAfee, you need to talk to them. Try here: http://www.mcafee.com/us/about/contact-us.aspx.
For the e-mail problem, you must contact that your e-mail service provider (Comcast, Verizon, Yahoo, Hotmail,...) and discuss the problem with them. They should be able to determine if this is a problem at their end or a problem with your installation and help you set up correctly. This is especially true if you can successfully connect to other e-mail accounts. It may have been hijacked or their server may be down. What gives Code 55 and exactly when does it occur? Provide the word accurate and complete error message including all codes. What type of program you use to access this email account? This program accesses other accounts of e-mail successfully?

I got my version of windows activated for about 3 years. I did a bunch of windows updates yesterday when he arrived to service pack 2, it installed and most of it then told me that my version of windows is not genuine. I'm also infallibly get error messeges that my installer of Modules of Windows has stopped working. I went to the windows genuine activation tool, and he said he couldn't tell if my windows was genuine or not. I have a sticker with the product key on the side of my computer. I tried to call the Activation Center by following the instructions to get the phone number, but my windows vista won't take me to the screen with the support of activation phone numbers.
Can I get the phone number for support?

Hello, I have Windows Ultimate 7 32 bit for my laptop which has Windows Vista Home Premium. It does not download because it says I need 64-bit. What I can do. I bought it some time ago but never improved because I was fine with Vista. But, now, I would like to upgrade. I can do apart from buying the correct version.
If your computer is running a 64-bit version of Vista, then you have two choices:
- Do a fresh install of Windows 7 32 bit.
- Find an installation DVD for Windows 7 64 bit.
Note also that the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate will be possible if you have Vista Ultimate.

Bought the wrong version of Windows Server
I bought a new server and also Windows Server 2012 R2 essentials with 25 CAL but when it arrived and I installed it, I was told that I needed to Standard edition, not most.
I contacted the company that I bought, and they said that they don't accept it because I opened it. I'm stuck with it, apparently. I threatened to get a refund through my credit card provider, and then they said that I can contact Microsoft for an upgrade, because I never activated the server. I didn't even point of activation when I discovered that I needed the other version.
I don't want to pay $300 to submit a technical support request, so I thought someone here could make a suggestion for me. All I need is the license key Windows Server 2012 R2 standard edition. I already downloaded it. Or should I try to sell the license and then buy the one I need? Thank you!

Why Acrobat Connect Pro years take to start after the latest version of Windows update?
I've just updated Microsoft windows 7 (and I don't want to lose the programs I and microsoft does not guarantee that they will be stick around including xp mode by going to windows 10 and it is part of the problem) and my college of adobe connect program charges years now. Do we know why? I spoke to the College, and they plan to get rid of adobe connect. It's really frustrating.
I like also all pop ups trying to prevent me from setting this up. Why can't work without all the stuff extra IS NOT nneded?
