• Why are all the tools and commands are disabled?

  First off, I am not our resident InDesign expert, I am a developer with experience quite a few other products Adobe.

  When it is installed on a machine, twice now our designer was unable to use controls in the bar of 'control' / control on the layout window.

  I thought it was something silly, like an incorrect selection, working with the wrong layer... that sort of thing. It was not something that would be obvious, at least to a power of Illustrator/Photoshop/Fireworks user.

  Well, after messing around with it for awhile, I couldn't find any reason to do so. The only thing I can understand is that the machine, while nine, has a processor that is not listed in the requirements of system for InDesign CS5. To test this, I installed in on a developer machine (more than meets the system requirements) and am unable to reproduce the error.

  My question is this: is there something that would cause this, before I submit to our admins that they need to upgrade his computer brand new to a system that takes in charge the CS5? Any thoughts at all are appreciated.

  I keep getting messages that my access point refusal to connect.

  I put on the same switch that I'm connected to (a C2960). I can see it get an IP address, I can ping, but I get a refusal on the web address. The fact that the said refusal to connect browser I think it's a permissions problem.

  I have the Cisco IPSU tool and when I entered the MAC it finds the IP address. I checked on the DHCP server. Shouldn't be able to hit the web interface of the access point by using the IP address that has been assigned? Am I missing something?

  You must enter AP CLI to check/troubleshoot your configuration.

  You can use USB-serial cable to get access to the console, if you have only USB ports on your laptop

  The company that I work pays a 3rd party for streaming services. Usually, it is shown through Windows Media Player, etc.. I would use a video file of the 3rd service part in a Flash app that I'm building.
  
  At first, I thought it would be easier to attribute the url of the video stream in Flash Media Encoder, but that did not work. I guess when you select already "deployed on a web server. ", the extension must be or.xml .flv. The reason that I don't deploy just the video to our server, is that the Director does not fear that the large file would block the bandwidth.
  
  So the question is, can I use a url like http://www.domainname.net/company/...MEDIA_ID=571166 & MEDIA_EXTENSION = asf & MODULE = ANGRC
  as the source of a .flv file? If so, how?

  Yes, you use the FLVPlayback component if you use the import video Wizard in the way you described. I just did a quick test, and it looks like the 1.0.1 last updated for the FLVPlayback (AS2 version) component generates an error if you use parameters in the contentPath value - it assumes that you load a SMIL file if all parameters are detected. So, you have two options, none of them "fun":

  (1) have your script server-side a SMIL file indicating the path to the FLV file. SMIL is just a simple XML text node base formatting you can use to describe how FLV bitrates are available. In your case, you have just a FLV file.

  (2) build your own file of NCManager class for use with the FLVPlayback component. You can do a quick fix to the existing NCManager class used by the FLVPlayback component and set the new class file in your own custom class path.

  Sorry for the misinformation (or earlier). I think that adding a suffix of .flv to the URL of the script worked in the original FLVPlayback component comes with Flash Pro 8. If I have time this afternoon, I will build a custom NCManager and zipper in a file, you can download and watch.

  In Adobe Acrobat, DC format you have no option to disable tools cover the document as it is in a view by tabs. There are tabs, home I tools I Document. When you are able to see the tools (as in the screenshot you sent), you are in the TOOLS tab. If you don't want to go to the Tools tab, you can add tools to the right by clicking on 'Add' under Tools. and you will be able to see it next to the document. Or you can simply search for any tool in the Tools section on the right side of the document.

• Join the Session after 3rd party authentication OAuth

  I use 5 APEX and integrate my application with another 3rd party solution. This 3rd party solution uses OAuth2 for authentication, which has a static redirect_url (a successful authentication post) which cannot be defined in the URL to call. Rather, it is defined as part of their application.

  I know it's confusing, so here is the whole process that happens:

  • Web server is Node.js (Express with Passport for OAuth authentication) makes queries APEX proxies to ADR 3 / Tomcat.
  • The user connects to the application of the APEX and gets a new session ID.
    • ex: f? p = 100:1:20953642103077
  • Once logged in, there are a few JS on Page 1 (P1) that detects whether the user has been authenticated with this 3rd party service (call the 3PS for that matter). It does this by looking at a custom cookie that is set by the web server for Node.js (let's call this 3ps_token).
    • If 3ps_token is null, then it will trigger the process of 3PS OAuth and use is redirected to their site to connect and to grant the appropriate privileges.
    • Once 3PS has granted the privileges, the user will be redirected to a predefined URL which is stored as an attribute in the 3PS area. I can't pass in the URL as a parameter to URL redirection and don't have, so no real way to back the session APEX I was coming.
    • The redirect URL is currently going back to the Node.js, which sets the 3ps_token in a cookie, and then tries to redirect to the APEX and 'join' the existing session. This is where I'm having issues as the URL that I provided is/ords/f? p = 100 (as I don't know the original session).

  How can I join my existing session of APEX (in the example above, 20953642103077)? If the following solution here: login page of APEX 4.1 kills the existing session cookie but this would require a custom authentication which I was hoping to avoid. Christian Neumueller-Oracle made a comment at the bottom of its solution join session is not secure. Is their a best practice because this so?

  I have good news for you, we implemented session to return to the APEX 5. It will allow you to have an APEX URLs without a session id. You must first enable this feature in the Administration of the proceedings (see https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/doc.50/e39151/adm_wrkspc002.htm#BABJCGAG) and then at the page or application level. Please consider the implications of security in this article, because to return potentially open your application to XSS attacks from other applications on the same server.

  I could be wrong, but I think the tool 'tool shape history' exists only in the full Photoshop...

  My advice is to use the help file (in online or download the manual pdf https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/photoshop-elements_reference.pdf)

  The interface has been changed in version 10, and you'll save time by looking at the different tutorials about it.

  The tool options palette is on the background, you can open it in the horizontal icon bar: second icon of the tool option palette or a first for the photo tray.

  Look at the menu display to choose how view several files at the same time. There is also an option in the menu Edit/Preferences to "allow the floating windows in expert mode.

  To move one photo to another, you can use the photobin to drag a photo to another already open in the display panel. You can also drag layers in the layers panel to another picture displayed.
