Acrobat IX is no longer available for download. Acrobat 9 Pro license is platform specific, so it does not work on your Mac in any case.
You buy Acrobat DC for your Mac.

Transfer Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro for a new hard drive
I had to change hard drives and now need to reinstall all my programs application. I was able to download Acrobat 9 Pro, but my licensed copy has now made within 30 days of the trial, and I don't know how to get a permanent license version. When I call the software, I get a screen of the software configuration that gives me two options. The first option, which is checked by default, is: "I have a serial number for this product." and a serial number is shown below. It is the same serial number, I was issued when I bought Acrobat 9 Pro.
So far so good. Then I click Next, and here is where the trouble begins. I get a window check the upgrade by the following text:
You have entered the serial number indicates that your installation is an upgrade from Adobe Acrobat Pro version
To be eligible for this upgrade, you must already have no product qualifying.
We have looked into the locations by default of qualification of the products installed on this computer, but none have been found.
You can check the upgrade eligibility without having to install your previous software by filling in the fields below.
Select a product you already own
Enter the serial number for this product
Acrobat 9 Pro is not listed in the drop-down list of product selection, so I'm not able to get rid of my status of the trial.
Please help me. I'm not trying to upgrade. I'm just trying to download a copy of Acrobat 9 Pro replacement, that I already have a license for, on my new hard drive.

The message you are trying to install a version upgrade of the software, which means when you bought it, you purcjhased as an upgrade to an earlier version. You will need to provide evidence that you meet the eligibility criteria by specifying the earlier version and by submitting its serial number. If you believe that you purchased the software in full version and not an upgrade, then you should contact Support Adobe directly by chat or phone to arrange things.

Hello. I get an error at the opening of some recent documents on my Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. I was wondering if I should switch to XI. The links take me to DC and I don't want to work on the cloud. To be quite clear that XI is completely abandoned, DC is the only option. The 'Cloud' of the name is a little misleading.

License for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro doesn't work anymore - why?
I get a very strange error message that says my license is no longer valid. I have captured an image of the screen of the error and would like for someone to look at. If all goes well, this problem can be solved quickly, because I'm in the middle of some work of Acrobat. Please HELP!
Note that day I tried the following (in this order):
1. do you have a repair in the drop-down Help menu.
2. downloaded from Adobe one all-new Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (AA Pro 9) and then do a repair.
3. turn off the Norton firewall protection.
4 uninstalled AA 9 Pro and then reinstalled the newly downloaded AA 9 Pro (2).
None of these solved the problem. I have a Windows Vista platform (32 bit).

Once you have uninstalled, you should have done two additional steps before the relocation: 1 remove any left over parts of the Acrobat file and 2. Run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html. They are not sure of the problem, but in many cases, the problem is related to errors in the registry that solves the vacuum. Sometimes, there are also a few corrupted files left in the folder Acrobat, especially some bad addons that can be a problem.

I just bought a new mac running on OS X El Capitan and noticed that some of my Adobe products have problems or do not properly transfer to this operating system platform. I use "Adobe CS5 Premium" and "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro" and met the next 2 questions so far:
1 adobe Illustrator CS5 crashes whenever I use the eyedropper tool. Any suggestions on how to fix this? You do not yet know what other questions, I will meet you as I still test all the software included in the CS5 Premium package.
2. in addition, when I bought the ' Adobe CS5 Premium ' package for use with Web/Design, it included "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro", for which I also have the serial number of the product (shown as recorded in my account Adobe). Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Mac OS El Capitan Adobe Acrobat required configuration.
Make sure that you use Acrobat in a compatible environment to make it functional.

Installation of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro existing on new computer - the 'check upgrades'
I recently bought a new computer (Windows 8) as a replacement for my old computer (Windows XP). I had bought and installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on the old computer in September 2009. At that time, I had the serial number of the previous edition of Adobe Acrobat to load into the screen upgrade check during the installation of Acrobat 9. I've just disabled the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro for Windows XP machine and downloaded the machine to Windows 8 and the installation went well (always had the serial numbers for the Acrobat 9), until after the restart when screen 'upgrade Check"popped up. I don't have any idea what was the serial number for the earlier version of Acrobat, I don't even remember what version of Acrobat, I had. How can I continue to install my Acrobat 9 Pro? I have used successfully for three years and more!
