  The mac license and the license of windows are 2 different products, mac and windows are 2 different platforms, so you cannot transfer the license between the 2.

  I'm not sure but based on the selections of purchase stating you can buy for Mac and Windows for equal opportunities of purchase you are able to install and activate on two different platforms using the same serial number.  I know that this is the case with the purchases of items but Lightroom does not seem to come as often.

  Try to hold the alt/option key while you restart Lightroom. Make sure that the right catalog file is selected and click on the "integrity test" box to see if there is a problem with the catalog file that might be repaired.

  Here are a few things to try:

  (1) try to move the files downloaded to the desktop and then install.

  (2) try to delete the files in the temp folder, and then restart the machine.

  (3) close conflicting processes or applications

  (4) try to have total control over the directory temp (authorization).

  (5) try to create a new Admin account and try to install it.

  (6) the redistributable Visual C++ 2010 x 86 uninstall and reinstall.

  I'm running the latest CUDA 5.0.61 which was updated yesterday and GPU driver 8.12.47 310.40.00.05f01. I can't launch the web more recent version of the drivers because they do not seem to work with my PC GTX 670 in my MacPro. And my GTX 670 actually 4 GB of RAM. I thought that was one of the great features of CC to activate the compatible maps, but I can't select GPU (although I can't in Premiere Pro).

  And even more boring, is that while I had to modify some files after Effects CS6, it works fine for me with my video card as shown in this report:

  I guess I can try the same hack that I had to do with CS6, but I thought that was the whole point of the new version that you wouldn't have to do!

  Although it's done. I had to manually hack AE CC to make it work with my Video card, and now it works fine.

  You can buy only the current versions and which means CS6. Your only chance to get CS5.5 would be a license used by someone else, but even in this case, you will need to make a good transfer of Adobe product license.
