We're the o/p of runningsfc/scannow

We have problems with IE 8.0 goes "NOT RESPONDING" and also the top and blue bottom lines don't always come with the new screen. or the site when it comes to display.  To check to be sre that all Windows XP administration etc are all in their original state and not corrupted in any form, we ran the followig:

START ==> RUN ==> sfc/scannow.

The analysis of the system seems to work ok as you can see the progress bar move as it worked.  The only problem is that when it is all just went.  No o/p data has been displayed or indicated, no log file do nothing.

Where is the o/p of this software and how to get to it?

Why you thought running sfc/scannow help?

You have to get one of my money of $100 USD American so sfc/scannow corrects your problem cards.

Running sfc/scannow won't help you.

When sfc/scannow to run correctly, you will see a start and complete message in the Event Viewer log system.

When it starts and stops correctly, you will see like this in the case of system event log viewer:

Event type: Information
Event source: Windows File Protection
Event category: no
Event ID: 64016
Analysis of file File Protection Windows has been started.

Event type: Information
Event source: Windows File Protection
Event category: no
Event ID: 64017
Windows File Protection file analysis completed successfully.

Even if sfc/scannow can't find something to do, you will not know about it.  Is not open a session, this isn't what he does, this isn't how it works.

It tried sfc/scannow still more of a waste of time!

  • PROTECTION OF FILES WINDOWS WITH THE SFC / SCANNOW

What I received for the initial mistake of the window File Protection:

uninstalled also 2 programs McAfee that had been installed earlier.

I did exactly what was suggested. I ran sfc / scannow using RUN with my running w SP2 cd, but as scannow was running, he kept asking:

Files that are required for Windows to run correctly must be copied into the DLL Cache.

Insert your Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 disc now.

    Choices: Retry more information Cancel

PROBLEM: Service Pack 3 has been a WINDOWS UPDATE DOWNLOAD.

    What should I do now?

Do not answer my own question, but that should I or can I just uninstall Service Pack 3, which was an update of Windows and then run sfc/scannow with my original cd.

and also I saw this posted.  Should I worry about the warning below?

    To uninstall SP3

    1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

    2. Click on Add / Remove Programs, click Windows XP Service Pack 3, and then click on remove.

    3. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

    Warning

If you choose to uninstall SP3, a dialog box displays a list of programs you installed after you installed the SP3. If you continue, it may be that these programs do not work correctly.

SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THIS WARNING? STEP BY STEP SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Do not uninstall the service pack 3.

Do not follow the instructions to use sfc/scannow.  99.999% of the time, it is a waste of time and will probably result just to generate accurate error you saw.

Are these error messages generated spontaneously or only when you run sfc/scannow?

Why do you run sfc/scannow in the first place?

If you receive these errors without running sfc/scannow, follow the instructions given by Jose Ibarra in your original post.  In other words, look in the event viewer and see what file is being complained about.  Display the names of files in your response.

"Slipstreaming" - that Jose correctly tells you to do so - is the process of combining a downloaded XP service pack 3 with your original XP SP2 CD to get service XP pack 3 CD - what sfc/scannow will like better.

You must have access to a CD burner.  All the necessary software can be obtained free of charge on the Internet.   If you have a CD burner, there are many sites with directions.  These are just two of them:

It's one of those 'things' in Microsoft operting systems.

When you want to run sfc/scannow now, you need to run in "elevated command prompt."

    Follow these steps:

Start button > in the search box, type cmd > turn worms at the top on the left, right-click on cmd.exe > click on Run As Administrator > now that you're in "elevated command prompt" > at the flashing prompt enter sfc/scannow > enter key.

Each item in the left pane displays a video icon and therefore tries to open the media player, also I am not able to do the system restore

Well, the video files will open naturally in Windows Media Player.

You might want to try to reset your default programs:

    Also:

    Click Start

    Click Start

Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD

When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

You can also have a virus. There are some that will hide your files/folders so that you don't normally see them. I strongly suggest to run a scan on your computer with your antivirus/antimalware software. If you need to, you can also use the Microsoft Safety Scanner, it's free:

    Hello

    ·         What operating system is installed on your system?

If you are using Windows XP and programs are not listed when you click Start, and then you can perform the scan SFC to solve the problem.

SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC /scannnow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.
