  • Desktop computer do not start; black screen; keyboard does not.

Ok.  I turned on my desktop computer tonight and all I get is a black screen.  Keyboard does not work either.  Has gone through all the troubleshooting suggestions that I could find online (using my laptop), but nothing works.  I think maybe an automatic update Windows could be the problem.  You have any tips for me on what to try next?

    1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    2. do one of the following:

    a. If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

  • Venue Pro 11 on screen keyboard works not when the keyboard of the Tablet is connected

I know that we are aware of this problem:

When the lid of the keyboard of the Tablet is returned to the back of the shelf, they keyboard does not. but windows 8 still recognizes its connected and the screen keyboard it does not automatically jump upward.

The Surface and the RT Nokia tablet correctly, both work. It's going to be a fix for this in the future? Is this a software problem or a problem with keyboard? It's really a big problem that needs fixing because it let the unusable keyboard cover. I am seriously considering to take the Tablet back because of this problem. Any information would be appreciated.

There is already another thread on this - please check it and close this one as replied.   Thank you.

  • Lock screen resolution does not display the correct image size

original title: lock the resolution of the screen and graphics

It's not just me, but I have problems with my lock screen. Any image I use the image is the right size and color aren't (almost like a filter of Sarcelles is imposed).

My native screen resolution is 5760 x 1080. I tried for some screen resolutions, both the original and the current. Even the original will not display correctly.

    Ideas?

Well, well, well. After you disable the lock for a while screen, today I decided to re-activated it. I love nail polish it gives for WIn8 only that my plan was to use a solid color.

Imagine my surprise when applied wallpaper appears with the correct aspect ratio.

Even more surprised that it allows me to use ANY wallpaper now and they look all perfect; 16:9, ultra wide-angle (surround), it does not matter. Everyone is properly rendered to the screen.

If anyone from MS is reading this, thank you. I know how Visual, aesthetic items will fall to the bottom of the to do list due to the perception of someone, they are trivial and not important.

You took the time actually solve this little problem. I am amazed, that perhaps MS really takes a step to circulate better over time. Really looking forward to what is to come!

  • Effects of light - on the screen controls are not displayed?

It's so pretty much everything I see:

    LEonscreenhelp.png

I can't move or do something with light. It's just stuck! I looked at other screens of people using light effects and (of course), there are suppposed to be some kind of controls in the form. And for some strange reason mine are not displayed. I've had this problem for days now and I don't know why it doesn't work. Also, I use Windows 7. In addition, my alignment buttons always appear to be gray, or "unclickable". Thanks for your time!

This work expected in 64-bit mode (it does for me), BUT...  Your display driver is definitely outdated.  The current version of ATI's 8.980.0.0

The problem is, with a laptop, your display drivers usually has to come the machine from the laptop, and you said that they do not have a newer driver.  I suggest you to contact HP and let them know that their current driver display for your system does not work with Photoshop CS6 x 64.  I don't know if they could answer, but it's worth a shot.

There are some things that you can adjust in Photoshop preferences that might help move things for you...

Open the Photoshop 64-bit version, then go to Edit - Preferences - Performance.  Ensure that the checkbox [processor] chart use is checked, then click the [Advanced...] .  Assuming that's not already on this parameter, try to change the Normal Mode , then close and restart Photoshop to test.

If this does not help, try to change the BasicMode, shut down, restart, test.

  • On-screen keyboard does not work in win7 64 bit. Help, please!

A pop up opens after clicking on the screen keyboard on. Here is the information that appears on the window pop up.

c:\windows\system32\osk.exe... A referral was returned by the server.

It seemed no longer works after update of windows of yesterday.

Remove KB3004394 from Windows updates and reboot. It has caused many problems. Microsoft has already made the update, so you won't have to worry about hiding once removed.

  • Viewer only appearing on-screen keyboard is not in the MenuBar in El Capitan

Since the upgrade to El Capitan, I was unable to get the Visual keyboard observer option appears in the menu bar.

I go to system-> keyboard preferences and check the box 'See the Emoji keyboard and viewers of symbol in the menu bar', and then nothing happens.

No additional shows upward in the menu bar and if I click on another tab in the system preferences keyboard section (or go to another section of the preferences system and return to the Keyboard section), the "see the Emoji keyboard and viewers of symbol in the menu bar" box is not controlled.

No matter how many times I try to check it out, it becomes immediately turned off when I leave the main tab in the keyboard preferences and then go back to him, and it does not add the keyboard Viewer option in the menu bar.

For the life of me I can't understand what is happening.

    Try

 > System Preferences > keyboard > input methods > menu entry display enabled in the menu bar.

  • Satellite A660-10W screen saver does not display

    Nice day.

My screen saver, power saver, screen dimmer, etc. will come not on the same when I change the wait time, etc. and save the settings.
I have a Magic Jack hooked up all the time to one of the USB ports - could it be the cause does not activate the Saver screen or could it be something in the McAfee Anit-virus, anti-spyware system cause?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Usually the screen saver appears if you would not touch the keyboard, the touchpad or mouse for awhile.

I didn t know the magicJack but I googled a bit and it seems that this device that plugs into a USB port provides a standard phone jack RJ-11 in which any standard phone can be connected.
This might be the reason, but that's just a guess

But check the screen saver timeout settings:
This will change the timeout of screensaver for all users
-Open the Local Group Policy Editor (type gpedit.msc in the search)
-In the left pane, click on to expand user, administrative templates, control panel and customization
-In the right pane, right-click on the screen saver time-out and click on change
    -Select enabled
-In the Options, select or how many seconds must elapse in order to launch the screensaver
-Click OK and close the editor.
-Restart the device and check if this work.
