Web service using the JSR-172

Hello

I use JSR - 172 to develop my Web Service application.

I heard that I need to use BES for Web Service.

Is average only BES for Web application service or y at - it another way?

Thank you.

Hi duksunkim,

you don't need a BES use JSR - 172 to connect to a Web service. as long as your Web service is accessible to the public, then you can establish a connection with her.

I asked the service provider web, why it would stop working and how we can solve this problem.  They suggested that upgrade to the latest version of Java on my server running ColdFusion.  I did some research and found the problem to be with the amount of memory allocated to the variable containing the encryption key.

The big problem is when I tried to update java on this particular server (Windows Server 2003), the installation has returned a messaged stating that he could not run on the older operating system and I need to update my OS to install java.

Does anyone have a workaround in ColdFusion 7 or 8 that you can establish the DH handshake using Java 1.6 on your local server while consuming a web service on a server using Java 1.8?

    Hi, frank000000,

I know that we had a serious problem with any Java 7 after update 25.  They are off a lot of network permissions and other things, for safety, that used to be available in versions prior to the update 25.  But it's while we were in CF Server 9.

Since we switched to CF Server 10 (making sure that we got the CF Installer provided with Java 8), we had very few issues related to Java.

It seems strange to me that the upgrade to 1.8 host while your server is 1.6 would cause problems.  It could very well be something else.  I would like to ask the host for documentation describing exactly how/why their 1.8 may cause interference with your 1.6.

    HTH,

  • How to consume the web service using PLSQL in 11g

    Hello

I created a site using jDeveloper, web services which when I put in the web browser and press enter, it will display the settings screen and when I pass the value for the parameter, and then it displays the output of the XML returned by the PL/SQL (called in the Web Service) package. Now, I want to call this webservice in PL/SQL and read XML data and fill in the staging table. Can anyone suggest me how to achieve this functionality by using Oracle PL/SQL

I use the database 11g and jDeveloper Version :-Studio Edition version 10.1.3.0

Thank you very much in advance.

    Vijay

The WSDL file describes the web service.

To obtain the WSDL, you enter the URL of the web service and add some ? WSDL to the URL. This indicates the web service to return to its definition.

    For example

URL of the Web Service: http://wsf.cdyne.com/WeatherWS/Weather.asmx

    WSDL URL: http://wsf.cdyne.com/WeatherWS/Weather.asmx?WSDL

When you read (using 'web browser' UTL_HTTPpackage) the XML response from the web service, read as strings (PL/SQL varchar2, size 32 K max).

You should read the answer as the strings, then writing/writeappend these channels in a CLOB (using the DBMS_LOB package). If you are VERY sure that the web service call ALWAYS returns an XML of less than 32 k, you can skip using a CLOB.

Whatever it is, read you the response from the web service in the form of text (such as plain text, it is what is sent). The next step on your part is to parse text into an XML DOM (document object model) - and storing the DOM in an Oracle XmlType variable.

When in a DOM, you can use Oracle XML functions to extract the attributes and values of the key element of the response from the web service.

As Simon says, you can insist on the 4.3 OS (which is really the version of the software of the device) and request that people upgrade their phone if they do not have 4.3.  It is possible to use the Agent user on a download link to check that the phone is at a high level of enough.

You can use the device, in which case support you later model pearls, "BOLD", Curve 8900, Bold, and Storm and so you should not miss for users who have upgraded their devices.

Or, if the JSR 172 is the only thing of a BONE later you want, you could do what Simon suggests and use kSoap.  According to my experience, this is not a simple thing to get there, but once going, it works fine.  However we do not use it in production applications.

  • Error in creation of Control (SOAP) data to the Web Service in the ADF Mobile app

Hi, I tried to create a Control (SOAP) Web Service data in a Mobile application of ADF in JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 under Mac OS X 10.8.5

The application has been newly created (no features) and I tried to create a Web Service data control directly.

In the 'Create Web Service data-> step 1 control', when I entered the URL of the WSDL and left the text box, the window "WSDL Document for reading" came and I got an error message saying "invalid WSDL URL.

The error description is given below:

Houston-29114 ADFContext is not configured to process this exception messages. Use the code of exception stack trace and error to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is DCA-29000. Are parameters of error message ({0 = oracle.webservices.mdds.MddsException, 1 = java.io.InterruptedIOException: connection timed out})

I have JDeveloper put 11.1.2.4.0 in place on a Windows 8 and follow the same steps with the same WSDL URL and he accepted the URL.

Can anyone help on how to fix this problem as I want to develop on Mac.

    Hello

We have solved the problem by asking the dev team to provide the file for the web service's .wsdl. We copied the file in the file system on the mac and then instead of provide the URL, inviting us to the wsdl file. Who does the work on the mac.

We were able to put a URL as http://wsf.cdyne.com/WeatherWS/Weather.asmx?WSDL (a non-secure web service) and the wizard to create the Web Service data control accepted the URL on the mac. Can be to secure web services, we have the .wsdl himself file. (the web service that we were trying to access was on EBS and was a secure web service)

  • ADF Mobile access protected web service with the user name and password

With Jdev 11.1.2.4 (with the extension of the ADF Mobile) I am creating a data control that uses a SOAP web service. The web service is not protected by a policy of wss, but its point of endpoint URL is only protected by simple HTTP authentication (internal weblogic server is not accessible public.) We use an Apache server that is configured with a location that is a simple proxypass on url of the web service endpoint weblogic. This apache location apply simple HTTP authorization). I can invoke successfully the methods with parser HTTP by simply adding to the request HTTP header "authorization: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx base =" (where xxx = user name and encrypted password).

In the mobile application of ADF, I used the DataControls.dcx-> window to connect to the Web Service change and provided the username and password to the URL of the endpoint. The problem is that after the deployment and execution of this application on the emulator (or the device itself), I get no data by the web service since with the HTTP 401 error http server responses. It seems that that the credentials are not deployed to the device, so while the application is running can not find them.

I searched a lot and found a similar article (quite old) in the RTO by Frank Nimphius here access_protected_web_services_from_adf.htm

Is there a way to do this, or if I'm missing the entire image?

    Thank you very much.

I just put following line before making the call to the web service by using APEX_WEB_SERVICE. MAKE_REQUEST.

    /*In my case DB character-set is AL32UTF8, so I set it to UTF-8. */

    UTL_HTTP.SET_BODY_CHARSET ('UTF-8');

If I do not set this, it uses the as ISO-8859-1 character set, which is the cause of my problem.

    Kind regards

  • WebService + secure jms (Web Service on the JMS trans).

Apologize as this post is in the forum of webservice as well but since it's related to both jms I put it here as well.

I have a web service that uses JMS (@WLJmsTransport Web Service via the JMS transport)

and everything seems to be ok, but I don't know how to use this function if the JMS is secure.

Security added on JMS queue what other things I should do for the webservice access the queue?

    (where I specify credentials?)

    @WebService (serviceName = "ASyncService", targetNamespace = "http://axyz.org/notification/v1", endpointInterface ="
    axyz.notification.ASyncPort')
    @WLJmsTransport (= "warn" contextPath, serviceUri = "async_event", portName = "ASyncServicePort", line = "Events", connectionFactory = "cnfct_receiver")

    Thank you!

    Hello

You can use the annotation @weblogic.jws.security.RolesAllowed in your WebService. This annotation works well with JAXRPC WebService.

    Thank you

  • How to prevent the FF loading all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol

FF is trying to load initially all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol, including of mozilla.org. Then I get the error of no reliable connection of course. Mozilla .org is the "invalid security certificate" and "the issuer of the certificate is unknown." I tried to delete the file cert8.db as suggested elsewhere but that did not help. If there is an option for this somewhere, I can't find it. I have the latest version of FF and Win7 running. Thanks for the help.

There must be some sites that are still using a secure connection, as http://www.amazon.com/. If even a link to Amazon is redirected, you can check if you have an extension like HTTPS Everywhere.

For Mozilla sites, Yes, you establish a secure connection.

But you shouldn't get certificate errors! When you get this for virtually all secure sites, the problem is usually as follows:

    (1) error of date, time, or time zone who throw checks validity of the certificates of your system. Sometimes allowing to use a timesource on the internet, the computers can introduce this problem.

    (2) not be set up to work with your security software that intercepts and filter secure connections from Firefox. Products with this feature include Avast, BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky; AVG has a shield search function which can cause this error on search sites.

    (3) malicious software on your system for the interception of secure connections.

    So... who is?

If you have any of these specific security products, which would be the first thing to check. We might be able to help with specific next steps based on what you have if you tell us.

Alternatively, you can examine the certificate to which Firefox is opposed to see if the issuer information pointing to the culprit. Take for example my test page:

    https://jeffersonscher.com/RES/jstest.php

You should see a section "I understand the risks" in the page. If you expand this section, you will find a button Add Exception. You don't need to complete the process of adding an exception (I suggest not adding one until we know that it is not a problem of malware), but you can use the dialog box to display the information that makes Firefox suspicious.

Click Add an Exception, and then view. If the view is not enabled, try first the button get certificate. Then in the certificate Viewer, refer to the section "issued by". What do you find here, or under the hierarchy of certificates? I have attached a screenshot for comparison of screen.
